If you ever wondered what authentic Spanish tapas are, you need to go here. The variety of tapas is great, including some very topical Spanish ones. The service is good as long as you don't expect much table service (you have to go up and choose your tapas anyway). Usually I would recommend a dish or mention ones to stay away from, but every single dish was excellent! It's always very full so go early if you want to get a table. If you're just a couple or so then I recommend sitting at the bar.

The pintxos (small snack or tapas) bar in the heart of Benidorm. Pintxos are typical for north of spain. However, in Benidorm we managed to find such a bar. They had a wide variety of tapas around the bar, and we could select and even get some cooked if needed. Among the many pintxos we ordered, the highlight was the crispy and delicious one made from lamb intestines. The staff seemed busy and not overly friendly but tried to be helpful. The lively atmosphere was accompanied by loud music.

At the end of Tapas alley, open from noon till midnight. Most recognisable for its hanging hams, the food here is consistently good. None of the Tapas bars here are particularly big so you might have to wait for a seat but it's definitely worth the wait. Lovely to just do people watching whilst eating and drinking.

Made a reservation but it was on a side salon, not the tavern. It didn’t specify on the website. Very loud and hot. Quite expensive for what it was. I ordered “Jamón” and it was 25€ for it which is ridiculous. Quite disappointing experience.

Well worth a visit if you are in the Old Town of Benidorm. Tucked away in Tapas Alley this little gem is a great find. Service is with a smile and the staff are welcoming and friendly. We had tapas and the local red wine and thoroughly enjoyed. Returning again before we leave to go home.

I love your tapas me and my family come many times but your staff are miserable, very rude, laughing and talking about you from the counter and the big lady walking about serving customers behind the bar wearing a wooly winter hat !!! She could smile a little too,as a bar owner you really need to review your ataffs manners towards your clients. Starting with a hello and thank you and goodbye, pretending also they don't know what your saying.its a pity cause you have a fabulous buisness and we will come back, also you never seem to see who is the boss or manager on each shift, maybe this would help.thanks

Quite a lot of Oily ponchos but thays fine as you can choose easily what to have as everything Is displayed. It just would have been nice if one of the waitresses smiled at some point. Really miserable service. Took us so long to try and pay.l we felt like walking off.

Honestly I was expecting better tapas. They were way too big for "finger food" and same of them tasteless (like the 3fried balls in a stick with cheese and shrimps where the shrimps were invisible). I didn't like them so much and I find it expensive as a tapas restaurant. If you are starving and you just finished a big walk you are gonna find it refreshing anyway! Just few tables to seat.

Crowded place, but it justifies because the tapas are delicious. Arrive early to find a spot! The staff is friendly and very helpful!

Great place, really nice tapas, 👍 very busy, which was great, good atmosphere, some staff very helpful, some not so . All in all good, but not your 1 euro tapa, I'd give it 8/10 please try this place.

Wasn't massively impressed by either the food or the service. The food was so so, nothing spectacular, expected much better. The prawns were good, the black pudding was actually delicious but the sauce the snails came in was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like ditch water, very musty, they had used too much smoked paprika and there was no sweetness - it didn't go with the snails, it needed something to lighten the flavour. The scallops were ok, if a little under cooked, the sauce had very little flavour. The belly pork was fine, nothing to write home about.

Lovely food Terrible service The chorizo was to die for The guy behind the bar restocked soft drinks while 5 people waited for service so we left quicker than we normally would

Excellent tapas bar in the old town. Food and drinks very reasonable and tasty. Last went here 11 years ago and it's just as good, if not better, now.

Great tapas and nice location by the gay quarter. We had croquettes, king prawns in garlic, meatballs and chicken wings all were hot and freshly served 😋 The only grip we HD was acknowledgement by staff as we stood at counter for about 5 mins before anyone talked to us which to be honest was a bit rude as they weren't busy. Once served all went smoothly after that.

Great selection of tapas. It's a cozy place for tapas. There are a lot of bar seating and high chairs with tables around the bar to seat. The food quality is great and the service is good.

Great food, despite the price. €25 for a plate of Serrano ham was eye watering! In fairness it tasted amazing, as did the other tapas we ate here. Great place, will definitely go back if I ever go back to Benidorm

The restaurant is in a very busy complex of many small taperias. The tapas I had was nice but not that special. Quick and friendly service.

A great Spanish tapas joint with lots of choices (all on bread). However, the tempo is superhigh and the service is slow and stressed. People come and go in a high pace which does not suit anyone who wants a nice dinner. Go here for a quick snack and a beer and then leave.

Been here many times before, glad to see the standards are kept high and an amazing selection of tapas. My favourite has to be the garlic and chilli prawns

Very busy so a little wait for food but we'll worth it. We had a set lunch of 4 hot and 4 cold plus cider for €18 between us. Nothing not delicious. Definitely going back for more

La Cava Argonesa is the best tapas bar,in my opinion, in Benidorm. The range of tapas is excellent add together the friendly staff and you've the best atmosphere. It's been going for years and should be on 'your to do list' 50 metres from the sea front.

Our favourite tapas bar. Just sit at the bar with a beer or glass of wine and let your eyes do the walking across the glass fronted counter cabinets stuffed full of delicious foods. A must do.

Tasty tapas at this lively little place. Ham croquettes and octopus were our stand out dishes. Crisp dry white wine was a great partner. Our waiter was very attentive and funny.

This is one of my favourite restaurants anywhere in the world (and I've been to a fair few) and, for value for money, is outstanding. Very authentic feeling, staff are very efficient and friendly, and the food is nothing short of 5 stars. I try and eat here at least twice whenever I'm in Benidorm.
