What an amazing restaurant! The vibe, the food, the service. Impecable! It was our first time. And we absolutely LOVED it. Definitely recommend it! Value for money!!!!

We stopped for coffee. It was a great cuppa. Looked at the menu and decided to have breakfast. It was delicious. Had a Guiness and a coffee after our breakfast. Inside the restaurant it was like walking into Portugal or Madeira. Will definately be back for a Guiness and a Bock draught and a meal.

Always a good place to go to on the East Rand Ribs are great Their Papaboa burger is awesome! Their steak special on a Thursday...yummmmm

Just had their wonderful Christmas buffet. We were spoilt for choice with delicious food, all perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was very festive and helped to make it a very merry Christmas. A big thank you to the owners and staff.

Fantastic vibe and awesome venue. Staff are great. Check out the daily specials. If You're a steak lover you will love Wednesdays and Thursdays steak specials. All the food is fantastic but the eisbein is a real treat. Plenty of parking and good security.

I enjoy the food here. I never get tired of the taste. I have recently discovered their platter for 2 and it has become my new favorite. the staff is great. Butho our waitperson was really great. Loved it.

I took my wife to PapaBoa for her birthday. When my wife is happy, I'm happy. If she's not happy, I'm generally not happy. She really enjoyed herself here. She loved the food. Loved the vibe and play area for our 2 year old daughter. She loved the dessert. The only thing that I think she didn't love was the fact that she got full and had to have takeaway for what she didn't finish there. The waitrons came to sing to her for her birthday too, which I caught on video, and my wife enjoyed that experience too. From my perspective, I enjoyed all, too! We will go back there sometime for another visit.

A lovely Portuguese restaurant. My hubby really enjoys home cooked traditional meals here. Great atmosphere and specials. Pudding a little pricey for the portions and rather order wine by the bottle, but otherwise service is great.

Dropped the ball! We visit PapaBoa fairly regularly and on this occasion it was to celebrate our daughter's graduation. Unfortunately it just wasn't up to scratch. 1. Had to call for drinks service. We ordered 2 strawberry, they only had one available. Service did improve. 2. Crab cake and bread roll was excellent as usual. 3. Main meal was mediocre to say the least, definitely not what we are used to from PapaBoa. The waiter did not know they had no stirfry veggies so we had to change the order to a salad that was "okay", fresh but no substance, and not value for money at all. 4. The dessert was an absolute disaster! Chocolate mousse was sour (the manager said it was because of load shedding), so he substituted the chocolate mousse for brownies that were not great, we took them as a takeaway but ended up throwing them away. A complete waste of R200 plus... Not sure if we will be back.

Menu stipulates that the Garlic Roll Starter is served with garlic butter and it is certainly not. Due to stomach issues I cannot eat the garlic chunks and WOW what a dissapointment when it came and it was filled with the chunks. Finished our drinks and left as obviously after that I question the menu entirely. Can't fault the service and waiter was very apologetic when it was not his fault, but definitely was dissapointing and I'm only here to warn anyone else who can relate to having the issues and who suffer horribly after eating raw garlic like myself...

Everything about it was great. The day I went there was a live band and that was interesting. The staff is friendly and doesn't come to you 50 times, love that. Also there's a quietnyana spots if you don't want the noise, so also loved that. I had ribs and yep would def go there again.

Really an awesome place to go to. Food is AMAZING and never disappoints. Play area for the kids keep them busy for long. Kiddies meals are delicious and not just a dry burger with some chips. Bathrooms are super clean and smell fresh… even changing station for babies. Love this place!

What an amazing place. The staff are super friendly and professional. The menu is superb the food is delicious. The bar area is very classy. I was so impressed that the stock my favorite Vodka and Gin. Lavida Vodka and Luxo gin absolutely makes the most incredible cocktails ever. Definitely one of my favorite places to have a meal and unwind with friends and family.

Wednesday 500g Rump Steak was very good with good service Luckson our waiter at a very reasonable price. Well done!!!

Good Food, Great Service and a lovely atmosphere, makes dining at PapaBoa a pleasure. Had the buffet today. Very good portion of roast beef, mixed veggies, spinach and roast potatoes with rice. I also upsized to include some chicken. Very well cooked and tasty. Dessert was chocolate mousse. Will be back to sample other dishes on the menu. Very reasonably priced. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a delicious meal at PapaBoa.

Service was quick and their chicken is amazing! My new favorite chicken schnitzel!

Ordered our meal as a takeaway and wow .. the meal was well presented and not shy of servings. Got home and food was still hot and delicious. That was an excellent meal for a takeaway.

Great experience! Hosted a work event there. Booking and menu was easy and awesome! I had instant responses. Multiple set menus to choose from. Everything went smooth. On the day, i was helped immediately to set up. Great waiter, great service, great food!

We a group of 5 families- total 25 people enjoyed our year end dinner at Papa Boa. The booking process was easy and friendly. They have allowed us to select the place we want the tables to be arranged. We opted the seating at the veranda which was perfect for a summer evening. They also given the option of split the bill between the families which normally others wont allow in group booking. No advance money was demanded for booking. They have set menu and order from the menu options. When we arrived , the set up was ready exactly the way we asked. The service was good. Food was nice , portion size was generous and cost was very reasonable. Their couple combos are great option. The desserts were not the best and can be improved. Overall great ambiance and value for money. Will definitely come back to this nice place.

I wasn't very happy with the experience I got there recently. Firstly the waiter didn't smile at all and he didn't seem to want to be there. I ordered a Francesinha which is with a beer sauce. Being Portuguese I know what it should taste like. It tasted like half a jar of All Gold tomato sauce had been poured over my sandwich.

Friendly staff and relaxed environment. Food was good and portions were well worth it. The specials of the day is quite nice and their desserts are really good. They dont have a lot of vegetarian options. I ordered the veg platter, the halloumi cheese and crumbed mushrooms were so delicious. I would definitely go back to try their gin selection

Great food, brilliant value for money. . . Just very poor service from the staff. Waiters are not attentive to the requirements of the customers, no personal touch, just poor service. The manager / owner is very warm and friendly at the entrance, pity his staff fail to echo his culture towards clients.

The service was fantastic. Our waitress, Juliette, was awesome and made our girls day out even more fun. The portion sizes were big and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. The salad was great, quality ingredients used- no skimping and limp lettuce. I would definitely dine at Papa Boa's more often if more vegetarian options are added to the menu.

Quite disappointed, overall not a great experience. I know the restaurant is known for great food but we simply did not get anything great tonight. The pork chops breading had absolutely no seasoning on it (lacked salt and really anything with flavor) my side chips were very oily and not at all great. Portions were lacking as well. Our waiter was sadly not very attentive which made the experience just fall flat completely! I think today you should be given a great experience on a night out as it is usually a special occasion! What would have been a great evening ended up being mediocre at best. Appart form the great company, I would not quickly return. Very disappointing!

Our experience was not pleasant as we've read. No supervision in the play area, small children were not catered for. Our waitron was battling. We left before our meals, the bill was a shock. I think a bad night for the establishment.

A very good family restaurant with good food. We like to eat something new every time we go. The play area is sufficient enough to keep the kids busy for the couple of hours we are there.

Wonderful atmosphere, the food did not take long in preparation at all. The waiter did very well and the food was very tasty indeed. A great place to bring the whole family. Chilli sauce that was served with the bread is to die for.

Lovely decor and ambiance. Love the smokers section and the bar inside the smokers section. There is a new play area for kiddos in the family section. Service is good. The menu has a great selection and the pricing is not expensive.
