I went to Benoni Lake Club to take pictures of a girl wanting to redo her matric farewell photos. Firstly the manager Rachell (sorry if my spelling is incorrect) was kind & friendly; she showed us the best spots to take pictures at, secondly the course is in a great state and the greenery looked stunning in the photos! Overall an amazing experience and super friendly staff!

It's always nice to play with my old time friends at Benoni Lake! Everything is so well oiled and runs very smoothly. Well done girls!

Very hospitable staff. The tee boxes are soft & well kept, hole information boards has hole strategy stories which were fun to read & relax while waiting for slow group ahead. The greens are absolutely beautiful & run consistently fast with tricky little slopes. I made 9 pars & a birdie, 6 one putts that behaved as read. Playing partners balls were easy to find in rough :). 1 less star for the fairways on front 9, they are hard! Hitting irons required more sweeping then hitting down which effected my distance control.

Ok layout... Just an average course.. Avarage fairway conditions but the greens are nice, they run true... Overall 6.5 out of 10.

An unfortunate incident occurred out of the clubs control, however staff were on it and really went out of their way to make sure all was attended to and rectified the situation(Appreciate all staff who was involved for helping). For this I will be back. The Golf course itself is in Fair Condition provided it is winter. Greens are well looked after.

Had a golfday with SABGA the course is in the best condition ive ever seen greens nice and pure here and there a little dead spot but they are working on it Rachel and the team well done great course

Enjoyable layout, good service, fantastic greens. Only negative is that the course needs more rain. Many fairways suffering from poor grass coverage in areas of quick-draining sandy soil.

There is a new restaurant that has opened there. I was really impressed with the food there.

What an amazing Golf course and club. Extremely well maintained and beautifully laid out. Definitely a 10 out of 10. Love the Pro Shop. My favorite place to shop before hitting the course. The Grapes restaurant is superb for a lunch during my golfing day. Just amazing. Well done to everyone involved in making the Lake Club my all time favorite golfing destination.

Nearly got hit by balls twice. Club grounds are clean and good. Food was good aswell.

Lakeside club is an awesome place. Beautiful golf⛳ and lawn bowls club. We played bowls not golf. The dam was a bit of a disappointment. It smells bad

Course - Fairways & rough need some TLC, otherwise a beautiful course on the lake. Club house has a good vibe especially on weekends. Proshop - Friendly & helpful. Restaurant - Food & service is fine but nothing to brag about. Overall - A pleasant experience and good value for money if you looking to enjoy a round of golf on a budget.

Beautiful course, a lot of renovations are being done and that is fantastic. One of the best golf courses in Boksburg and Benoni area.

Played the golf course this morning and was pleasantly surprised. While the fairways were hard (only because there’s no rain in Jhb, yet), the greens were in great condition, making it an enjoyable round of golf.

Very nice golf club, the fairways need a little attention however the greens are in beautiful condition. Lovely people, relaxing vibe. Will recommend.

All i can say is, if you having an engagement, think twice. Loadshedding hit for over 4 hours and they couldn't even scramble for candles. They had 1 poor guy trying to set up the tables doing the decor, clean up the dinner plates which was ridiculous. There were no servers even though it was paid for, the alcohol was locked in the bar and they couldn't get the keys which delayed the toast, their lack of planning as a venue for Loadshedding hiccups melted all the icecream and ice. It was utterly poor guests ended serving and clearing tables etc even though the service was paid for. Manager was also no where to be found, the entire event was done by people using phone lights until someone got their own generator from home. Wouldn't recommend this venue at all. I hope they refunded the family because they ruined an engagement

The Swan bar is a good place to have a drink and enjoy the views over the golf course, bowling greens and the lake.

Greens are beautiful that I can give them. Fairways look like the rough and the rough looks like a jungle with all the tall grass. They need work on fairways and rough. This is not upto standard.

Worst managed course I’ve played in my life. You waiting 10 minutes on the tea box. No marshal to manage the speed of play. Pro shop doesn’t answer. Unless you have an immense amount of patience or time to waste I wouldn’t bother. Won’t return.
