This place has it all. Super tasty delicious food, excellent service and beautiful ambiance. 10/10, must try. Everything was prepared and cooked to perfection. Charming and delightful owner gave us excellent recommendations. We had a wonderful evening. One thing is for sure we will be coming back again. Highly recommended.

The food was was absolutely amazing, very well made, fresh and full of flavour.Service was okay, waiter was slow but the food made up for the slow service. Ooh it was just too good, was worth every penny and without any hesitation will definitely go back. Well worth it, not a single complaint, really good and definitely worth it from the starter right to the dessert. The posh ambiance and atmosphere is good and very appealing. Well done Galata 👏

What an amazing Turkish restaurant this is! I would say it's rather hidden, but it should be so much more well known. All the food is Turkish and has breakfast options. Definitely worth it and you don't have to go to Turkey to experience the amazing cuisine. When you come in, you get a small glass of Turkish tea to get started. The manager is super friendly and recommended a Pide since we weren't too hungry and it was divine. It's a Turkish style pizza which tasted just really good. We had a Seena Pide. Definitely the highlight for me. I also had their signature milkshake, the Galata Milkshake and recommend you try that too. For dessert, we got a cold Baklava. And again, it didn't disappoint, so so good. I would definitely come here again. Top notch service and food

Turkish food was a first and was pleasantly surprised. We were welcomed with Turkish tea and a snack. And we enjoyed a Turkish Braai platter for 2. Will we go again, definitely. Treat yourself to something different.

Finally tried our new #halaal eatery on the East Rand Galata Bakery for breakfast. I still find their breakfast offering very limited. So we ordered 1 of the Pastrami and 1 Spinach Benedict with Poached eggs, Toasted Poğaça and Hollandaise Sauce, and one of the Köfte Starters - Crispy Turkish bread croutons topped with special yoghurt sauce finished with 3 succulent Köftes. It needed a bit of spice so I added some of the sauce on the table. Then 1 Hummus to share. It was really delicious. We started off with Turkish Tea, then I had to have my fix of Apple Tea. Still something I enjoy since visiting Turkey a few years back. Our waitress Margaret was friendly and sweet, as well as Mohammed as we had a long chat about the establishment. We were on his case as they didn't have stock of Kunefe which is what we came for, and also the Tres Leches Cake. We ordered the Carrot Slice Baklava (an no it doesn't have carrots in it), the Cold Baklava and the Chocolate Eclair. Really all tasty. Enjoyed the texture and taste of the cold Baklava and the eclair. Didn't try the other one due to my braces. I popped in for a takeaway. I've heard great reviews. Chicken chops with 6 side sauces. Wow. Juicy. All the range of spices and sauces to delight. I'll be back I got their Ribeye steak 1 week later. It was dry and cold. Clearly reheated. Not good enough.

This Turkish restaurant will impress you! Very good food and service also... the owner is directly involved which keeps the quality of the food and restaurant at a high level. He speaks Afrikaans asif he was born in SA and you can see the passion and love for what he does. I will recommend a visit for awesome food and a nice dining experience

This was our second visit, we first visited when they first opened, and the food was great. I'm glad to see nothing changed except for the menu. The food is still amazing! We went for dinner and got recommendations from the ever will to help manager on duty. His recommendation was on point and did not disappoint. Food was plenty and delicious. They also have a lovely assortment of dessert to choose from.

I thoroughly enjoyed relishing scrumptious cuisine at your eatery. The servers were dedicated to providing excellent hospitality and exhibited an amicable demeanor. The ambiance was fantastic, and I particularly appreciated the contemporary decor. Above all, each item on your menu was delectable and the beverages were equally delightful.

I've been there twice now, and the food is delicious and amazing. The services is probably the best I have received in a long time. Will definitely go back. It's not a downside to me. But they do not sell alcohol. They have amazing teas coffees and milkshakes.

What an amazing experience. We have been wanting to try Galata for some time now and tonight was the night. From the warm welcome at the door from Ziggi to his friendly and accommodating staff. We had the mix plate 2 the portions are generous and everything on the plate was absolutely delicious! For dessert we had the cold baklava it was amazing. My son had the surprise ladybug cake. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
