Very nice staff and comfortable room and bed. Hot shower and clean space. Has been updated, but could use a little more cosmetic work (nothing that affects the quality of stay). Building is U-shaped and amplifies the highway noise at night so light sleepers will want to request a room facing the parking lot. Great sunrise view from room 320 though! Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Pool area looked clean and water was clear. Would stay again.

Great place to stay, so far my fiance stayed there twice and rooms were clean. Had great free breakfast in the morning from 7-10 a.m. Great location, right off the main highway, but tucked in by itself with things close by. Not to noisey. Bed is very comfortable. Good t.v. and channels. ❤️

The front desk staff was exceptional, especially Sue. At first our reservations for my sister and myself were lost but Sue was very diligent and found the reservations for us. The reservations were messed up by a former employee who is not there any longer. Sue should be a very valued employee and deserves a raise for her knowledge and expertise and great customer service. The rooms were clean and the breakfast bar was exceptional! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Benton Harbor area.

Worst hotel stay I have ever had. So many issues with the their management. My room was infested with cockroaches. Not just one, but multiple cockroaches were crawling around the bed and bathroom. This discovery was not only disgusting but also raised serious concerns about the hotel's cleanliness. I reported the issue to the front desk, but there was no staff member available to address the situation. I called the general manager however he was incredibly rude and dismissive of my concerns. Instead of apologizing, he offered a mere 20% discount. This response showed a complete lack of customer service and reflected poorly on the management's commitment to guest satisfaction. I noticed they overcharged me too so trust me, you don’t want to stay here. They need to make some serious improvements.

Booked 2 nights and left after the first night. Went to the check in desk where the clerk was in sweatpants and a t-shirt. Went to the room and the smell was not real pleasant. Didn't want to sit in the chair as it was filthy. The white bathroom door had dirty hand prints and there was mold in the corner by the shower. Also a handgun was openly carried by the man working the breakfast bar. That is fine as I had mine as well. Guess it must be a pretty unsafe area. Will defiantly not be back,

I went to see if there were in any combined room to reserve for the weekend . As soon as I come in the building I didn’t get a welcome , a hello ,or anything . As soon as I get to asking about the room if it’s was available the first thing the lady say is I can tell you know , without looking at any computer or paper saying there’s no room . It gave me nothing but a racist vibe they will never see my money . It a big

Perfect location! Very friendly staff. Especially the sweet woman that was working the dining area during breakfast. She was so nice and helpful. We really enjoyed meeting her. They had lthe best breakfast we've had during a hotel stay. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.

Before getting into the things that can be improved, I wanted to say the gentleman and the lady working the breakfast were very nice and seemed to be working very hard to try to keep up. We arrived around 5:30 wanting a room on the second floor but they had none of them clean. The room had a damp feel to it. They advertised two queen beds but they look like full size beds. The interstate was noisy making it hard to sleep. The coffee maker was not working for the first day and a half.

This was an awful stay for us. We came to help the family with something. It kept us out all day. They did not clean our room once in 5 days.we called and they said we needed to request that it get cleaned? , we did that, three days in a row. No luck. I had to take towels to the other side of the hotel to "exchange"but the girl at the desk was new and had to walk back to the office a few times to ask questions from a manager assume?so then we walked to the laundry and I had to hunt down clean towels. Our room" looked" good but was not . The shower had no soap holder It seems like no problem but try to shower and hold the soap we got in and out so we could put soap and shampoo on the counter by the sink. The towel hook on the bathroom door was upside down YES upside down. I turned it up to use it and it fell off. It wouldn't stay on unless it was upside down. A lot of the surfaces in the room were not clean and some were sticky. The bathroom fan was the worst very loud and came on with the light. So no light at night if you didn't want to wake up three rooms of people. The garage outside by the door was never emptied as fast as I could tell. The main air intake vent in the lobby was filthy, covered in dust. The fire extinguisher was expired. The best part of this stay was the restaurant staff. They were on time on on point. The food was good and they were very nice. I added some pictures too.

Overall great stay. Clean, friendly, good breakfast. Kids had fun in the pool however all three kids had cuts on their feet after swimming that drew blood, not sure if it’s something on the bottom of the pool but kinda odd that it happened to all 3 kids. Other than that great hotel and location.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a hot tub and indoor/outdoor pool. I didn't get to go in because I was too tired from my travel and had to get going in the morning. The breakfast was great and the people friendly and kind. Definitely will be on my list to stop again if I go through that area. Though I didn't get to look around much it seemed very close to many stores. It was easy to get to and easy to get back on the freeway.

I give this Hotel a solid 4. It’s a nice, very quiet, clean place and reasonably priced. Staff was nice and the breakfast was good. Enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. It’s close to a lot of restaurants and stores as well as right by the expressway. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because of the part of town it’s in is NOT a nice area. If it were in a better part of town, I would have given it 5 stars.

I would rate this hotel a low 4 stars. It’s clean and not far from St. Joseph. 7-10 minute drive. For the price we expected a clean hotel and we did get that at least. The window in our room was cracked, part of the molding on the headboard of the bed was peeling off and the bath tub water drained very slowly but none were major deal breakers. The pool area was clean but the pool is a little small but nice that you can swim inside and outside. They have a small hot tub in the pool area also. Complimentary breakfast was good. (Bacon, eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, cereal etc.

Stayed the night 08/18/23. Immediately when checking in I was asked for $100 before even anything else (I had no idea I had to pay that when arriving). Window in room was cracked, metal trim of headboard popped off and looks like someone attempted to hold there with tape, room had a musty smell, black markings on wire of ac, there was a chunk of hair on the coffee maker, one lamp shade was broke and bathtub took FOREVER to drain. The pool was nice but hot tube was cloudy looking but nice and hot. Room with drinks and snacks was basically empty. Breakfast options were good but a little cold. Liked the coffee from the breakfast area. Although my 5 yr old had fun I will not be returning to this hotel.

Stayed the night of 6/30/23. Easy check-in. The ladies working at the front desk were very nice. Although I thought the area was a bit rough, the hotel was fine. My kids and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub, other than the fact that the hot tub had a strange odor. The rooms/beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. We had breakfast the next morning just as they were opening and the food was decent. The gentleman working at the breakfast area was super sweet. I would probably stay here again, but not at the same rate. I’m guessing it was a busy weekend and the rates increased due to limited availability.

The customer service at the Best Western is above and beyond. I was in a bind trying to find a hotel block for my wedding in a time crunch and I received incredible customer support from Susan Laughlin as she helped me set one up on relatively short notice. I'm so impressed with the communication I've received and how quick she was to help me. I'm so glad my guests will be staying here for my wedding!

I arrived at this hotel around 10:30 pm and the hotel was pretty quiet. Checking in was easy and the front desk girl was really nice. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We fell right to sleep in them. They had free breakfast from 7-10 which seemed to be pretty popular. It was really crowded so my boyfriend and I went elsewhere for breakfast. The location is in a good area. There's a big lots and Walmart within walking distance, and some restaurants as well.

This hotel was great for our family trip over the holiday weekend. The pool was awesome, breakfast was tasty, rooms were clean and the staff were the best. Cheryl at breakfast was amazing and Leonard was such a great presence throughout the hotel. I'd stay here again anytime.

Our first hotel room was quite dirty and the sheets were stained. So we spoke with the front desk and they were super accommodating and got us a new room with no fuss. Breakfast is okay, but it's a hotel so what do you expect. Cleanliness was not really the best. The hotel is a little isolated and kind of in the middle of nowhere and not in the safest area as there was a shooting nearby when we stayed. However if you're looking to stay in St. Joseph and willing to sacrifice a little cleanliness and comfort, it's a pretty reasonable place.

Overall it was good. Room was nice and clean for the price. They have a small inside/outside pool and hot tub. 24/7 coffee and hot water available on the hallway. Quick check in. We were disappointed on their breakfast. Hair dryer didn't work. Plenty of restaurants and Walmart are close by. It is located 10min from Silver beach.

Best hotel experience I have had in a long time. I’m mostly writing this to give props to the breakfast lady. She worked some magic and turned that standard hotel breakfast bar into something that was worth a Michelin star. Even the sausage gravy tasted homemade. Management if you are reading this please give this lady a raise or at the very least pass this review along to her. I will also add that I could tell they were working hard to turn over rooms for check-in. The staff was upfront about this when I arrived at 3pm but I think I waited no more than 20 minutes until they had my room ready. When I got into the room it was clean and perfectly stocked. If you are looking got a place to stay in the area, I would highly recommend booking this place. Sleep in this hotel but don’t sleep on their breakfast, you will not regret it!

This was a great Best Western. Walked into a very clean room. The beds were comfortable, the hotel was quiet, there was a large variety for breakfast. The bathroom was interesting - shower head was a little weak / small, but the water was warm. The fan in the bathroom was connected to the light, whenever the light was on the fan was loud and noisy. Staff was helpful. I would stay here again.

The rooms are clean, the place is quiet, no major issues... the rooms do not get cleaned daily if you're staying more than one night, but I think most places have converted to a similar alternate policy.

For the price in comparison to other hotels in the area, not horrible. Breakfast was great for what was included (waffles, hash browns, juices, cereal , bagels, sausage, bacon, coffee). More then I expected. The service for breakfast by the two couple was AMAZING. Both were providing excellent customer service to families and constant restocking. The woman kept checking in on my family and even refilling my beverages. Above and beyond. Pool was fine. Enough to spend a couple hours in since the purpose was to enjoy Michigan outdoors anyways. Rooms were average. Not the best cleaning and had odors to them. Individuals were def smoking marijuana and cigarettes. In terms of improvement, I would say is for the hotel to focus on the house keeping.

I was satisfied overall! I booked the presidential suite for two nights. We don’t live far from the area, it was a little “getaway.” One night it was my boyfriend and I, and the next day my children (age 2 and 4) came with and we spent the day at a beach nearby. We came back to the hotel and went swimming in the pool. Was it absolutely spotless? No. Was the hotel perfect? No. But what hotel is?! I have stayed at hotels often as my father traveled for work and we also vacationed a lot. I rarely write reviews and since I booked the room last minute, I didn’t have high hopes. It was literally exactly what we needed. It was enough space so we all weren’t on top of each other with two children under 4 and they slept on the pull out couch perfectly fine, no issues with pillows, sheets, etc. To be completely honesty, some of the staff members were pretty rude. I hate to be like that, BUT it is what it is. I would like to point out an older black gentleman who made my day! I went down to get breakfast which had already ended (it was my fault, I didn’t pay attention to the time change). When I started walking away he asked if he could help me and I jokingly said I came for some orange juice but I’m late as always lol. He turned the machine back on and gave me two big cups of orange juice, allowing me to walk on the floor he just mopped. I didn’t expect that at all, but it is those “little” things you remember. I’ll never forget his kindness!!

This hotel was great! I picked it because it looked good in the pictures. I was not disappointed. No funny smells or noises. Nice clean bed. Good breakfast! Just wish I could have stayed longer to try out the pool.
