I
had
other
plans
with
a
larger
group
to
camp
this
past
weekend
but
unfortunately,
most
of
them
got
COVID
and
had
to
cancel
last
minute.
With
my
heart
still
set
on
getting
at
least
one
camping
weekend
out
of
this
season,
I
decided
to
just
Google
best
campgrounds
near
me
and
Two
Rivers
came
up
as
one
of
the
top
results.
The
forecast
looked
good
and
we
already
had
everything
we
needed
so
we
booked
a
riverfront
campsite
(M26)
and
set
off.
Staff
are
incredibly
welcoming,
you
are
given
a
map
and
gate
card
key
and
then
escorted
to
your
campsite
by
staff
on
an
ATV.
Our
escort
had
extra
wood
on
hand
so
we
didn't
have
to
go
back
up
to
the
store
to
get
set
up
in
that
regard.
The
view
from
our
site
was
incredible,
the
site
it
self
was
mostly
level,
clean,
and
well
kept.
Each
site
(at
least
with
electric)
has
a
lamp
on
the
site
marker/electric
hookup,
which
I
thought
was
a
very
nice
touch,
we
didn't
even
need
flashlights
to
get
to
the
bathroom
(though
they
aren't
terribly
bright,
they
at
least
provide
enough
light
to
see
if
you're
going
to
run
into
things
and
provide
a
path).
The
bathrooms
were
very
clean,
one
of
the
cleanest
I've
seen
at
a
campground.
We
didn't
check
out
the
showers
during
this
visit.
We
were
impressed
with
the
amenities
(though
most
were
inaccessible
as
it
was
after
Labor
Day)
which
included
2
swimming
pools,
tubing
with
a
private
dock
and
shuttles
back
to
the
start,
a
"wiggle
train"
for
the
kiddos,
jump
pad,
shuffleboard,
dog
park,
and
likely
more
I'm
forgetting.
The
campground
also
offers
delivery
of
wood,
ice,
and
some
prepared
snacks.
This
campground
is
just
under
half
an
hour
from
Milk
&
Honey
Cidery
in
Cold
Spring,
one
of
my
favorite
ciders.
We
brought
our
dog
with
us
during
the
day
while
we
were
camping
and
it
was
the
perfect
way
to
kill
a
few
hours
and
continue
to
appreciate
the
outdoors.
As
we
were
packing
up
to
head
home
I
booked
our
next
stay
in
May
in
a
site
just
a
few
down
from
where
we
were
this
time.
I
hope
to
make
this
an
annual
trip
at
least,
very
impressed
with
our
first
stay.
Thank
you
Two
Rivers
for
a
wonderful
weekend
-
it
was
my
husband's
first
camping
trip
since
boy
scouts
nearly
30
years
ago,
and
it
was
so
positive
he's
actually
looking
forward
to
the
next
trip!
