Easily one of the best breakfast spots I have stumbled upon. Coming back from a work trip in Chicago has now become a annual visit. The food, drinks & atmosphere are all top notch. When you’re done eating check out the record store next door.

Wow, what a great place. Usually you find great coffee but so-so food. Not here! Everything was top notch. I've been looking for a good Huevos Rancheros since a trip to Texas and the Mason Jar hit the nail on the head. Our Servers recommendations were spot on and very appreciated.

Best brunch place in Saint Joe, hands down. Food is fresh, delicious and filling. On top of the phenomenal food, the staff is so nice. Brought my 2 year old and they brought out coloring and paper for him. Everyone is just so nice. Prices are a little steep (12-14/plate) but totally worth it for the quality of the food.

Cute cafe serving delicious food! Stuffed French toast was amazing, as was the iced latte. No kids menu available, making it expensive for children. Great spot to stop for breakfast (or lunch the menu looked great)

If you are in this area and do not go here, YOU ARE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE. This was honestly one of my most decadent, fresh, and satisfying meals I have ever eaten. It is 100% farm to table and locally sourced - you can tell in the flavor. Salt and pepper not even needed. We took our server’s suggestion (who was darling) and she did not steer us wrong. I may make the three hour drive simply to go here again.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5. Mason Jar Cafe is a gem in the Benton Harbor's Art District. What a cozy, beautiful vibe in the city! I love the bricks, decor, and rustic look the restaurant has. The service is AMAZING! I appreciate the recommendations and knowledge of the menu the servers have. ❤️ I appreciate the clean and neat atmosphere. The food was really GOOD! There's an appreciation of the listed local food sources they use from the area. The attention to detail is spot on, the eccentric flavors are on point, and the chef knows how to cook a great meal. Overall, you'll love the area, the vibe, and the food!

Sorry there is no photo. We ate before thinking about it. Hog Dog was delicious but my friend got the hamburger and if I went get back this way, I'm getting that. Country fried steak was excellent as was the grilled cheese work the fried green tomatoes. Definitely recommend if you are passing through.

Good service and food but high prices. Also the biscuits and gravy were made with onions and chicken. I have never had that and it was bad. The espresso root beer was amazing!! I will go back to get that!

Wonderful use of an old automotive space. Amazing food! Our waitress was friendly and personable. Attentive without being obnoxious about it. The corned beef in the hash is super flavorful, just the right amount of spice in the hash. Pancakes are the thickest pancakes I have ever seen, legitimately a half inch thick, or more. Plenty of capers came with the lox and ciabatta. Even with a fairly full house the wait for our food was not excessive. It is a little loud (nothing to dampen the noise) but we could easily carry on a conversation without speaking loudly

Stopped in for lunch and am sure glad I did. We ordered one of the quiche specials with crab and the jalapeño sausage egg scramble. They both were delicious and so full of flavor. The crab quiche was like a giant crab cake full of crab and very rich. The scramble’s potatoes were nice and crispy and I loved the flavor mix with the sausage, egg, and cheese. The rye bread was also good. We found out that their breads are all from Bit of Swiss which is a major plus. I love hot sauce and they offered two. The one I chose was so good and had great heat and flavor which isn’t always true of quite spicy sauces. There were tons on the menu I want to try and we for sure will be back.

I was told to visit The Mason Jar Cafe when here on vacation. So I did before I took off back out west, three hours away. I opted for the jalapéno sausage scramble and home potatoes with a banana pancake. All very good! Except the banana pancake looked a little too well done. The coffee was good too. . They got busy around 11 o'clock. I had a great waitress who was also training a nee waitress. The new waitress needed to smile more. 🙂 Other than that I was very hapoy with my meal and service.

This restaurant is going to become a permenant stop anytime I'm traveling to and from Detroit and Chicago. I absolutely adore the community, small town vibe of this lovely rustic restaurant! The menu is a well-thought curated food-splosion utilizing ingredients from local artisans creating delectable dishes such as cinnamon brioche stuffed with marscapone cheese topped with berry compote to classic American standards such as fried eggs, toast, and bacon. Also, be sure to sample one of their seasonal cocktails! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

This is a nice little gem in Benton Harbor. The food here is fabulous and you get a hearty helping as well, so you don't go away hungry. The coffee here is one of the best.

This was my second time at The Mason Jar. We had 7 in our group and everyone loved it. The food is awesome! They care about the ingredients and the staff is all very friendly. This place is a gem if you appreciate things done right and great flavors.

Worth the wait. Popular place. We dined outside and the breeze was lovely. Service was kind of slow and the prices online are outdated. Everything is much more expensive. But overall the food was good. 👍

This place is just so lovely. The food is delicious, the drinks are made perfectly, and the service is always so friendly. I posted a picture of the goat cheese grits with scrambled eggs, but it was already half eaten. 😂

Great breakfast and lunch spot. I would strongly recommend the Lox and Ciabatta if you are looking for a classic bagel with salmon. The presentation alone is wonderful and the smoked salmon is delicious. I love how it comes with only the separate fresh ingredients as you are meant to build your own how you like it. I also recommend the corned beef hash and any special of the day. Probably my favorite breakfast spot.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while on the road. They were closing in the next 30 minutes but welcomed us in and we were seated immediately. Still plenty of people enjoying their meal. I had the Farmer’s Market Salad (+ chicken) with a cold brew. Both were delicious! They have a huge menu, lots of specials, and seem to do a great job with everything. The space is massive and seems like it would be really fun in the summer when they can open up the windows. Would definitely go back if I am in the area.

This place did not disappoint! Such a unique vibe and a menu that dances on the tongue! It's 30 minutes out of our way tomorrow but I want to come back again! This is the type of place you dream of after your vacation ends and can't wait to go back just for breakfast!

Pure perfection! Delicious food, we got brunch and iced coffees. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. The bathrooms are super clean. The staff was all helpful and friendly. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back next time we are in the area.

We went on a Friday morning in the summer, and the wait for 2 people was less than 20 minutes. I got the Jalapeño Sausage Scramble with the paesano toast and it 👏 was 👏 amazing 👏 The vibe is cute, there’s tons of good outdoor seating options (which looked to be dog friendly), the staff was great, the serving sizes were spot on, and the cocktail menu was robust. So many boozy cold brew options 🤤 Highly recommend!

At a time where staff is hard to find, the Mason Jar was filled with a welcoming staff who seemed happy to be there. Our server Ricky was engaging, knowledgeable of the menu and proud of the business commitment of serving organic, sustainable farm to table food. They are also gluten friendly which is a bonus for me since I cannot have gluten. And the food!! (I got the Dutch Apple pancake and my husband got the goat cheese grits) both were amazing! Keep up the great food and service 😊

Wow. Great food. Best home made corned beef has ever (mild poblano peppers)! Great pancakes. Great server.
