Nice and cosy restaurant with good food and excellent service. We visited this place for lunch and our water recommended to try the mixed plate for two people. We also ordered the village salad which was excellent. We could really taste the juicy and fresh tomatoes and a full of flavour cucumbers drizzled with good quality olive oil. The traditional food mixed plate was nice, but the food was only warm and not hot. The service was polite, friendly and fast.

Nice little restaurant with a very traditional vibe. I was there on the off season last year and was alone in the restaurant. The owner was very attentive and made sure that everything was perfect. I had a salat with feta and olives and baked aubergines, very delicious! Also, bought some local wine there that I have yet to taste.

Very nice people. Family run restaurant like usual in Albania. The son can speak good English. The food was really good with plenty of options and good prices.

Cute spot with a nice view, AC, wifi, and waiter went out of his way to charge our phones. Dishes were incredible. There is a sampler dish that is a bit more money but definitely worth it

This is a great little family run restaurant. Delishes traditional albanian dishes high quality ingredients. The Lamb was superb juicy and tastefull. The family has their own farm and so the restaurant only use homegrown/made products. The housewine is good. Sit down in the street or upstairs with a view on the street below.

this is an excellent place with a very friendly Att. The food is very good, it looks better than in the photo. The prices are not more expensive than in the rest of the city and they have an excellent view with a very nice terrace. You don't feel pressured to consume anything and you even feel bad about how well they treat you and how cheap their dishes are and their service is better than in a five-star restaurant. The best food ever!!! This is a note after have been eating here, they have the best fresh food ever. I try it in Albania. The owner of the restaurant has a farm in which he produces everything that he uses in the restaurant. Incredible place to eat. You can never tell when you are walking up or passing bye, but is “a must try!”” for sure.!!

Good Albanian food available with beer and alcohol, Raki etc. We came here when the tour guide suggested. Tried different salads, beef items and chicken items. Service was good and they were pleasant and welcoming!

The mix meal for 2 was amazing and the portion sizes were quite generous (Chicken casserole is not in the photo). Very good way of trying Albanian cuisine.

Tasty traditional food and many options for vegetarians and vegans. The share plate was a great way to taste 7-8 different dishes from the region. WiFi worked well and staff were helpful for directions to other places!

A beautiful restaurant with both excellent exterior and interior traditional design. The owners are also very kind. Prices are okay for a place like this. We tried lamb meat in yogurt and stuffed eggplant. The food was a little too salty in my opinion, but maybe that's how Albanians like it. We also tried local white wine - it was just okay. Served in big portions - about 400-500 ml per person.

Delicious taste of traditional Albanian cuisine, and hospitality! The owner was really friendly. Would definitely recommend the mixed platter/set meal that allows you to taste a little bit of everything.

We went following guide recommandations, and we were not disappointed. Quite small roof terrasse (3 tables) with an incredible view, fresh squizzed juice and delicious food. Very nice people too, happy to answer questions and providing lots of information. Service was quite fast, which is not always the case I. The region, and everyone enjoyed the food. I would recommend without hesitation.

You can tell that the staff is trying hard to please you. But they need to try harder with the food. I took lamb. It was a big bone. More than half meat was fat. The rest was hard and tasteless. Moussaka was ok, fresh salad was ok. The place is cheap. Don’t order the house white wine. Won’t come back and don’t recommend.

Name of the restaurant is what you get. A traditional place with extra friendly staff and a generous offer of Albanian dishes. Dishes itself are prepared and served as expected for traditional place. The taste is there, nothing to complain about. If you want to keep it simple and traditional - go after it. Do not expect classy place with great wine selection, though.

This place was the end of a guided tour! They try, but they have to try to improve even more! The location is where it is and the choice of places to eat is limited! That's probably what makes the business go around! The food came out not so warm, except for the lamb! But on the other hand the lamb was not so good, mostly bone and fat! The white house wine tasted like fox poison! Recommend the bottled beer instead! The rest of the food itself was ok, with the exception of the lamb dish! The staff happy and pleasant and accommodating! The advantage here, however, is that the food is affordable and good prices! I don't want to advise against eating here, but you should choose carefully from the menu and be on the safe side! A piece of advice for this place....you are in a wonderful place! Try to raise the food quality a notch, if nothing else for your own culinary pride!

It was really good. We were 2 and we ordered a mix of different traditional Albanian dishes and all of them tasted very good. For all the food we got and taking into account that it was also tasty, it was worth it.

Have no idea why so many good reviews. The salad had no tomatoes only lettuce and 4 slices of cucumbers. Super expensive for what you are getting also the soup was bad. I feel it is just there to scam tourists

Nice Staff and surroundings, but the food was not the best and also not too much (we did not choose the menu but individual options - they said each option is for two people. But that just means, there are two small pieces of each dish). Especially the wine was more like vinegar :-(.

We had the mixed traditionals for 2, it was a lot of food (the meat is missing on the picture) and tasty (although not the best we had in albania). The owner and his wife are very friendly. I recommend the place for a nice place to eat in the castle.
