Bruno is an absolute legend, an amazing tour guide and all round great guy who made my experience in Berat unforgettable. As it was low season I was one of the only people on the tour and he offered to take me on a tour of the entire city on both sides of the Osum river, Mangalem and Gorica, catching amazing panoramic views from two different angles. He was very knowledgeable and and could answer any question I asked, allowing me to learn so much about Berat and Albania. My tour with Bruno was the highlight of my Albanian trip, and I now consider him a friend too! He goes above and beyond to make everyone feel happy and welcome on his tours. I can't wait to come back to Berat again with more friends so I can introduce them to Bruno and do the tour again!! Please if you come to Albania you must do this tour! He is also an amazing photographer as you can see from my pictures below. Thanks Bruno for making me have such a special experience, you are a great ambassador for your country and hope to see you soon! - Unaiki. 😊😊😊

Really good waking your in Berat, with a visit to the castle in the top of the city included. Nice comments and well explained. We were so many people that the group was divided in two and we went with a girl, who was fantastic guide and nice and polite. I recommended this tour to all the people I met during the trip and asked about Berat.

Absolutely amazing! I mean it says it all: 113 reviews so far for Bruno and all of them 5/5 It was a tremendous pleasure to meet Bruno, learn so much about Berat, Albania & Albanians, and see such beautiful sites. I strongly recommend you reach out to Bruno if you want to visit Berat. I know there are a lot of tour operators from Tirana, who charge Β£70 - Β£100 for a day trip, which I considered to get for ease, but 100% I am glad I chose this way instead. Bruno can advise on cheap and easy transport to get to Berat from Tirana. And then he is a real local, so your whole day will be filled with fun and education and lovely sites. You will be in safe hands! Bruno was a gentleman that looked after me as a solo female traveller. He taught me about the history of the city, the current culture, the folklore of the castle, the best places to eat and drink. His passion for this city is inspiring and heartfelt, there was nothing he did not know. He also knows everyone in the city, so it really did feel like a truly authentic experience. He even wrote his dissertation on how to make Berat more accommodating for tourists. The landscapes and architecture are unique and stunning. My only regret is not having enough time to stay longer. I regret not booking a night's stay in Berat, as it is such a calm and charismatic place. If you are visiting Albania, do not miss your chance to see Berat and also meet Bruno! Also make sure you visit the castle! It was one of the most unique castles I have seen, with coffee shops and homes inside the walls. Stunning! Thank you Bruno so very much for such a wonderful day

Bruno is a real gentleman. An amazing professional, very kind and, most of all, very competent and prepared. He is an OFFICIAL guide, be aware of the amateur ones. He’s a professional and you can really see the difference! The tour was super ok for all the people, young and old ones, and Berat is really beautiful. The timing Bruno proposed was perfect and we reached the castle at the sunset with a romantic view above Berat. Bruno speaks English and Italian. Very very very recommended.

We spent a wonderful afternoon with Bruno learning about the history of Berat and visiting the best spots. We also got to know Bruno on a deeper level and he shared his experience of growing up in Albania with us, which I really enjoyed. Thanks for becoming our friend and all the best for the future, Bruno!:)

We stumbled onto Bruno’s walking tour by happenstance and were greatly surprised, pleased and happy! Albania is a place where finding quality information and tours can be hard, so having Bruno’s information about Berat really helped us get an idea of the city and the unique aspects of the history. It’s 2 hours long and there is some steep walking/mild hiking, but the info and views are worth it all. It’s free, but donations of course are great for this lovely person. Thanks Bruno!

Superb! Loved the walking tour - it’s free and you can give whatever you want at the end which makes the whole experience very easy and chilled out. Bruno was kind and informative, I took longer to climb up the fort due to health issues but he was very supportive and stayed with me the whole time, even though the group went forward. At the end he took us to the most incredible sunset spot at the top of the fort, no way we would have found that by ourselves, because there was no one else there!!! Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to have a nice, chill evening in Berat!

11/jun Berat Walking Tour (+355696743421) Bruno is a local guide with very good knowledge of the region and great communication in english. He will show you around, starting at the bridge by the Gorica neighborhood walk up to the castle on a calm pace, showing around the place and telling interesting facts about the region and history (specially during wars, occupation, end of communism, etc.). He works on tips, so definitely deserves a good one!

Bruno is an amazing guide who goes out of his way to make sure that everyone in the tour is having fun. I first β€œmet” Bruno in a Albania FB group where he answered my (very many) questions especially about traveling from Tirana to Berat via bus. I was traveling alone so his advice was so helpful. Our 5pm tour goes around the city and we went up to the castle. It is important that guests read the notes of the tour such as knowing that hiking uphill is involved so wear the correct shoes, be mentally prepared and bring water. I’m not in my best shape so he climbed with me and did not rush me. I appreciated that. Also as it was raining, Bruno asked everyone if going up to the castle was what everyone wanted to do given the added level of difficulty that the rain brings. I like that he sets expectation and consensus. Thank you for such an amazing welcome to Berat, Bruno

Bruno was a great guide showing us his hometown and sharing great tips + stories of Berat. He gives tours at 9 and 6pm. We went on the 6 and were able to see the sunset from the castle which was lovely we even got to take a glimpse of someone’s wedding which was also really cool. He’s also extremely helpful if you have any questions about other parts of Albania as well.

It was excellent! Bruno and Elona were super nice to everyone. Elona guided us and explained each detail of the history with so much kindness and love for her country. It was very special having the perspective of a native. And Bruno helped us taking us to where we would like to go after the tour. It was very helpful! The tour is super calm and very interesting. We saw and learned about the most important spots in Berat!

Bruno had another tour so he said hello to everyone and set us up with his colleague Elona. She is very friendly and told us a lot about the history of the area, including religion and government and how that shaped the city you see today. I did the 9am walk and it was a very hot day, so Elona kindly brought us to shady areas to talk, and made a detour for everyone to fill up waters. I highly recommend this tour, it is two hours but allows you to see and appreciate Berat from an educated perspective.

Bruno is a welcoming and honest guy, and we learned a ton about not only Berat, but also Albanian culture on the tour. The sites are beautiful and it’s important to also learn about their history- who better than a local to show the way? Thank you Bruno, hopefully we will see you again in your beautiful homeland! :)
