Nice atmosphere and beautiful view overlooking the water. We didn’t have a reservation but we only waited 10 minutes for a table. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. Great dinner location in Berat.

Nice food in a cozy Albanian house. The staff was very friendly and helpful. He started the fire for us when we came. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

We stayed in Berat for two nights and stumbled on Friendly House on the first night. There is a lovely terrace to sit out on with amazing views. The food was sensational. And the staff working there were so amazing. We went back the next night without hesitation.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant overlooking the river and Berat. Great food and wine with generous portions! Wait staff were super lovely and attentive. Came here three nights in a row, if that's anything to go by 😌

All of the features of a tourist-aimed restaurant - average food, high prices, awful music, flippant service - without the convenience of accepting payment by card. The interior is beautifully put together though. The chicken fillet with mustard was dry probably because it was old, therefore overcooked on purpose. Comes with just some dank chips, not any salad or veg, for 700 lek.

Great little restaurant off the Main Street. We followed a little sign through an alley and didn’t know what to expect, but the veranda has a great view over the Ottoman houses of Berat. Menus were in English, staff were friendly and food was good. Great value, as usual in Albania, but this was especially good. £12 for 4 drinks, 2 mains and bread.

Really nice food, we had meatballs, chicken with mushrooms and the best spring rolls in albania. They have a lot of different type with and without meat, traditional food as well. Very friendly and they have terrace side as well inside. The restaurant is designed like an old fashion, inside you find lots of old things like radio tv and traditional clothes, super cool makes the place look so unique

Best place to eat in Albania. We were amazed at the view from the terrace and at the cleanliness of the toilets. Highly recommend!

Obviously very popular and a really nice setting. Excellent Greek salads and baked feta, but beef ribs were so tough they were uncuttable (and inedible) with the knife provided. Wouldn’t say it was ‘friendly’, service was disappointingly rather brusk

I loved the place! The food was amazing, the waiters were super friendly and kind. It was quite crowded when I got there and some guests got impatient because service took a while in the beginning. But the restaurant quickly reacted and two more waiters came to work and afterwards everything went very smoothly. I was very satisfied and I wish I could have tried more different dishes :)

We ate 4x out of the 6 days we spent in the city. First time we came during busy hours so it wasn't a very "friendly" experience. But the other times was pretty good, bread was great, fresh. You could taste the hint of nutmeg on the bechamel sauce from the moussaka, the freshness of the tomatoes on the baked eggplant, and a great ragu sauce. The spinach and corn meal pie was not my favorite but besides that, everything was great. We never had space to try the deserts! I just wished they had vegetarian moussaka and a non-smoking patio 😊 Best part: they accept cards!!!! 💳

Really tasty traditional food, everything we ordered was delicious. Good price. The view is beautiful and the ambient is really interesting and well decorated as the old Berat traditonal houses. Staff was friendly, however service could be improved. I really recommend go there if you would like to have real Albanian food.

One of the best meals we have had on our journey through Albania. Wonderful place with authentic old school Albanian decor. Food arrived quickly, which hasn't been the norm for us in Albania. We recommend the stuffed peppers, and the stuffed mushrooms were excellent. Nice big salads too. The moussaka is very tasty but heavy - so save some room! Has air conditioning.

Great traditional Albanian food restaurant in a nice location of the city. The decoration is cozy and elegant on the inside, and has a terrace with multiple levels and gorgeous views. The staff was friendly and attentive and they found a table for us in no time. The portions are big enough and the prices are fair. Overall, the service quality was great. I'd love to come back.

We had a lovely dinner from this cute restaurant in Berat. The interior felt very vintage and cozy♥️ The Caesar salad was fresh and the steak with cheese and nuts, which is a Berat special was heavenly with delicious crisp fries and tzatziki as sides! The tarator was a bit too garlicky for our personal taste, but worth a try! Their house wine and Cognac was delightful too.

A very nice experience. Homey and charming atmosphere. The food was excellent. I got the last available table, and just after me a Japanese woman was also alone, so I let her share my table. A nice meal ☺️

The terrace is very nice to stay but food is quite average. The complimentary bred is under average unfortunately. After a long day, I’m so tired to check google review and try my luck at this restaurant. Honestly, friendly staffs, great view and chill. Only was, I asked for a grill chicken, but when it turned out like this, for me it’s a minor point. Staff can explained the food better next time.

We had a great dinner experience at this restaurant. The waiters were super friendly. Although it is recommended to have a reservation, you can also come by without it, as the restaurant is big. The terrace is amazing with direct views to the river and to the bridge, and is next to the mosque. The menu is extensive, quality of the food is really good, and the prices are unbeatable, with most plates between 1 and 3 euros. I would highly recommend this place to any tourist looking for a real place with delicious local cuisine.

Perfect place to taste traditional Albanian food and local vine. Portions for main courses are pretty large - you can easily share one for two people! Also we really appreciated the authentic interior - this restaurant is located inside an old house of Albanian style.

Lovely spot with brilliant views over the river. Had the mousaka, delicious and good value. Staff weren't overly attentive but would definitely recommend

We read the reviews and were curious about this place... it was recommended by our hotel (Hani i Xheblatit) and we are glad we visited. The restaurant is an interesting place (beautifully decorated) and they have a terrace (not in use as it was too hot outside). The staff were very helpful and assisted with menu choices; we had several tradional options and the food was delicious. Wine and ice-cream were also great. The staff helped us plan wine tasting afterwards and booked us a taxi, even helping us speak English later on with the taxi driver on our pick up. Do not hesitate to visit this restaurant.

We went there twice, as it's a great value. Had stuffed peppers, meatballs with potatoes, soup and (Greek!) salad. Very generous servings. Everything is fresh and tasty. Prompt service, well located on 3 levels. Great view.
