The top of Fløyen mountain. You can walk up or take the Fløybanen funicular that takes you up to the mountain top. Better to take just one way up, and make up your mind on the top if you want to get down by car (as there's no discount for a round way ticket), as the walk down is easy, doesn't take too long, and offers new breathtaking views of Bergen. 75 NOK one way for adults. Totally worth it. You'll find a few restaurants up top, some playgrounds, lots of breathtaking views of Bergen, beautiful nature and the lovely mountain goats. A must for any Bergen visitor.

At the end of the Fløyen Railway there is a large viewing platform, a huge playground, a café and a few hiking trails waiting to be explored. Otherwise, you can just make yourself comfortable and let your gaze wander over the fjord.

The top of Fløyen mountain. You can either walk to top(40-50 minutes route from Bryggen, depending on the route you choose) or you can ride the Fløybanen funicular that takes only 8 minutes to reach to the top. We hiked both ways, up & down. From the top, the view of Bergen and the fjord is breathtaking! There’s two caffe, gift-shop, ice cream shop as well a children’s park(Trolle park), you can also spot lovely mountain goats roaming around in the nature, if you are in luck. In the surrounding woods, we spotted quirky wooden statues, a mountain stream, small waterfalls(caused by recent rainfalls) and the nature view is spectacular! A must for any Bergen visitor.

This natural park is one of the most beautiful I have seen in a long time. There are several paths that lead from Bergen to the top of the mountain and run through forests, waterfalls and viewpoints that seem to be taken from a fairy tale. I visited it during fall, on a rainy and foggy day, which, far from making it lose its appeal, gave it a very mystical air. I was only there for a few hours, but I know that it is one of those places where I will return sooner or later.

The Fløibanen is a really great place not far from the center of Bergen. It takes about 15 minutes to get there. Taking the Fløibanen is a lot of fun. And when you arrive, you have a beautiful view of Bergen city and downtown. It's the perfect spot for stunning vacation photos. There's also a lovely area for children. There's a playground, obstacle course, and goats that can be petted. A 10-minute walk into the forest, and you can rent a canoe on the water. There are restaurants, and they sell things like coffee and ice cream. All in all, I would say I had a fantastic day here with my family. Just make sure to visit on a nice day, as it's most enjoyable in good weather. Please note that this review is based on a summer visit

We took the funicular up to the hill (takes about 5 minutes), and one way ticket is NOK 85. Walking down to downtown Bergen from the hill takes about 45-60 minutes. The view of the Floyen is superb. There are a souvenir shop and toilets. You can have a drink of coffee at outdoor cafe, or have meals at a restaurant inside a white building. A must go in Bergen!

Fantastic hike! My wife went one more on a hike to the panoramic view of Floyen and took a different route down. The hike gets steep, but for moderately fit hikes, I dont think you will have major issues. We did experience some rain on our hike which passed pretty quickly.

(Translated by Google) I really like this viewpoint in Bergen. It's a great walk to get here, on a solid road. Around the forest and rocks, but the forest is magical full of gnomes and trolls. You can also come by a great cable car. There is one very large troll at the top, great spot for a photo. There is also a place where you can drink a cold beer and have a snack. The view from the top is amazing, with the whole panorama of the city and its surroundings. (Original) Bardzo lubię ten punkt widokowy w Bergen. By się tu dostać czeka cię super spacer, porządną drogą.

A lovely hike up winding road ways, from the centre of Bergen, intermingling with narrow lane way's steps disappearing around corners. Creating a hard earned short cut to another bend in the uphill journey. The view stunning and the satisfaction getting there is fabulous. All effort forgotten. A MUST do in Bergen.

Very nice hike, took us around 1 hour to get up to the top, amazing Bergen view from the top and very cute goats, love that they have a lot of seat on the way and a lot of view point.

Amazing place to get a really good view of the city. We got up using the funicular, which is a very pleasant ride. Also we got lucky and were only 10 people the whole trip (which is around... 8min aprox). Once up there, don't forget to: - Take all the amazing photos the place inspires you to. - KINDLY pet the loving Fløyen goats (Alex was an ultra great goaty, he even layed down when I started scrubbing his head). - Visit the lake that's about 500mts. away. When we were done, we went bsck to the city on foot, following all the "To the city" trail signals, and we got down in 45min aprox, not hard at all.

An amazing place. Easily reached through a cablecar located a short walk from Bryggen. Then you go up and there is a restaurant, restrooms, benches, gardens, playgrounds, souvenirs shop, and last but not least one of the greatest views on Bergen. From this point there are many trekking paths to follow and times and distances are shown. Let yourself be inspired by them. Highly recommended, the price of the means of transport is worth the experience.

(Translated by Google) Nice views of the city from the viewpoint at the top. It is not difficult to go up and down on foot, just a little long, in my case I decided to go up by funicular and go down on foot, the ride became very enjoyable, with the houses placed in a very funny way with narrow alleys, and even a small slide to go down a street. Upstairs there are also some alternatives to walk and have a coffee or even eat (Original) Bonitas vistas de la ciudad desde el mirador en la cima.

Very close to city center and has nice hiking routes. You can go up by foot or by cable car, but doesn't take much by foot anyway. When I was there it was very foggy and I really liked it, creates nice ambiance.

Very nice spot, full of tourists. We walked from Stoltzekleiven to Fløyen on the hiking trails in the woods and then took the funicular down to the city center. Overall, a very nice experience, with the relaxing walk in the woods.

There is about 100 stone stairs to walk up the mountain and then there's a nice view to the city and a lake to swim. You can get funicular down the mountain or walk down. We walked down and it was beautiful and easy. I like the view up town and if you get hungry or thirsty there's cafe, restaurant and washroom by funicular.

The weather didn't help us much in the end of May, but still it was a great experience to look down at Bergen and recognize places you visited :) for nature lovers it gives you communication with goats, you can go hiking in the nature. There are several cafes and a souvenir shop. We went there on Sunday and saw a nice dance school activity

Mount Fløyen is situated in the city center of Bergen, you can get there by Fløibanen funicular or go on a hike. The view is spectacular. The Fløibanen funicular takes you to the top in approximately 6 minutes. The regular price was NOK120 during our visit, with Bergen Card you get a discount of 50% on return tickets, which we made use of as we were there with a baby. The funicular has a dedicated space for baby strollers and wheelchairs. When you’re on the top, apart from amazing views, there is a large playground for kids.

It’s definitely worth heading to the top as the sun is going down. The views and colours are worth it and you won’t be alone!! There’s many paths in fact so even if you stray off, you’ll probably end up at the top anyway. I walked up and took the funicular down. You get a great view of the city, out to the water/fjords and the other local mountains. You can actually walk to Ulriken as well. Oh and you might meet some friendly goats!!

Could not even find the place. No signs and roadwork on the roads nearby made it impossible to follow the navigations instructions, ended up driving in circles. Did not like Bergen at all. Tunnels, one way streets and road paving from the 1800s that almost busted my cars suspension.

2020-07-27 - We came around 09.30 in the morning and tolk the “train” to the top. The top-area was really nice! A great view of the city, restaurants, big playground and paths around the area. When we got back down there was a huge line to get up... App. 1 hour I would say... We had none! So am advise would be to get the early.

To get a look at Bergen on a grander scale, it is well-worth a visit to the top of Mount Floyen. I was here visiting my Norwegian friend, whom I met when we were both travelling in Hawaii. You can either hike up or take a cable car. I visited Bergen because my acquaintances were finishing up graduate school at a university here.
