Great water for kayaking with several narrow and interesting passages.

Fantastic place which I actually visited for the first time today Monday 21.10.19. A minus here is that there is not a single parking space and very narrow roads at times, but this scenic area is still well worth a visit. There is also a bus connection here. I found a great path along the water and you can follow this for quite a distance. Noticed that the fish were awake here, so it might be a good idea to bring the rod. Some benches with tables are also found by the water. Info: Kalandsvatnet is the largest lake in Bergen municipality, in the Fana district. It is known for its rich bird life, and part of the water – Kalandsvika in the southeast – was protected as a nature reserve in 1995. Wonderful nature, beautiful landscape, habitats of various bird species including wild geese, clean water with trouts. For active people there is a bicycle path, an archery club and a boat rental.
