    Michelin star restaurant in Bergen. Over 10 types of foods from the bar area to the restaurant area. The decoration of their foods was amazing although each portion can be tiny. It took nearly 4 -5 hours in total to finish so we left a little bit tired. This is not just for filling stomach but rather a food show. Service is great but could be better.

    Its Michelin star is deserved. The food tasting menu is delicious and creative. The wine list is solid, somewhat overpriced. The food service is artistic, quite slow, but the wine service is chaotic and not well organized. The common impression is positive. To my mind, the restaurant is a good option of high-end cuisine in Bergen.

    We had an amazing full Tasting menu here and impeccable service. The food is mind blowing- extremely well thought out, perfectly made and arranged. From the very start of the snacks inside of the stunning bar, to the Tasting menu inside of the beautiful dining room everything was a symphony of service and food. As it is with tasting menus it’s hard to describe it in detail. So the best way do describe it is “innovative & delicious”. Having had a good selection of dining experience like this across the world, I simply don’t understand why Bare has “only” one Michelin Star. It deserves at least two. As a side note - we had the non alcoholic drink pairing (a first for me) and I highly recommend that. It was innovative, truly matched the dishes and it was delicious!

    An absolutely amazing experience! My partner and I were there celebrating her birthday. We had the 10 course menu with wine pairing. However, we are from the UK so the final price for 2 people was the equivalent of £535, so be prepared!

    Have been trying to go to this bar several times as I stayed at the Bors hotel (on the same floor as the bar). Each time we were told by very pretentious waiters that it was fully booked. I took the attached picture where it was actually empty with the waiter speaking to a waitress sitting at the bar. I heard they want a Michelin star…difficult with this kind of service (unless they think rude service is a prerequisite) No point staying in this hotel to be treated this way. There are plenty of other nicer places to go in Bergen anyway like 1877 or Colonialen 44 and avoid being patronised by random waiters…will be staying in another hotel next time

    Great experience of Japanese - Norway fusion. Fabulous menu and good wine pairing. Point for improvement - to add good Italian coffee (espresso, macchiato, cappuccino)

    Me and my friend had 10 courses and a bottle of wine + cocktail and we had a WONDERFUL time here! Foods were perfect! My 1st goes to Norwegian eel, then salmon nigiri, oyster, and matcha crème brûlée 🫶🏽🫶🏽 I am a very detailed person, and what I recognised here is that their service is top tier(I’ve been to too many fine dining, including Michelin star and their service is at the same level as 3 star in Paris) So, it is more than “worth the money” I’d definitely come back here again.

    Great experience with the new team and the new menu. Chef Pak has created new dishes and dares to combine ingredients in a new way. Generous portions in the set menu unlike many others. Moving the restaurant in to the bar is a clever move. The wine pairing is refreshingly bold. The price for 10 dishes is surprisingly reasonable.

    I enjoyed the full tasting menu. The food was absolutely outstanding, built around local ingredients. Authentic, unique, sensational tastes. The service was just as excellent - highly refined, personal, individual. I dined alone, which can be awkward. Jack and team made it a perfect experience! Knowing many top restaurants around the world, Bare ranks among the very best. Highly recommended!!

    We had a wonderful meal here on a Friday night. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. They modified the ten course menu to vegetarian for me and it was really good! We loved that you start and end in the bar area - felt like a progressive dinner party. Every detail was thought of and we would recommend!

    Best restaurant experience in Bergen, highly deserving of it's star. We ordered the full tasting menu which began in the bar area where we had some interesting and creative cocktails including. While sat in the bar area we were served a fair amount of 'snacks' but calling them snacks is selling them short. They were one-bite plates of amazingly prepared food to really set the mood for the evening. After the snacks we were moved to the dining area for the rest of the service. We decided not to go for the wine tasting so we ordered from the impressive wine menu which covers all price ranges you would expect from a Norwegian restaurant which is really nice to see from a restaurant of this calibre. All dishes served were of excellent quality and presentation. Serving sizes were of course small but there were 12 courses served in total and we all left feeling full and happy. Service was very good, attentive but not overbearing and the waiters all had a good sense of humour. An expensive evening but I believe what we paid was reflected in the quality of the experience. Can't wait to go again.

    We had shorter tasting menu in 07/2022, food was great and wine pairing superb, service was friendly and not too formal, they even send some Finns from kitchen to serve us some of plates. Only "downside" was, i needed to ask few times non-sparkling wines, as they forgot it, but fixed it with smile on face.

    (Translated by Google) Would test out the bar and the quality of the drinks. Wanted to start with a simple mojito and asked which room was used. Got an answer to that, but when I asked if they had other rooms to choose from, I got a condescending answer that there was no other choice of room for a mojito as it would not make any difference. Then asked if it was possible to get a mojito with angostura in a real Cuban way, which was possible. Mojito can quickly be thought of as a 'simple' drink to make, but when I as a customer am so clear on making it in a special way, it should be thought that I do not want a 'regular' mojito that everyone can make. This bar was supposed to be extra nice on drinks, that was why we were there. The drink menu showed many cool and good drinks, but a pity that basic drinks are downgraded. General: medium drink and condescending staff. Did not live up to expectations. (Original) Ville teste ut baren og kvaliteten på drinkene. Ville starte med en enkel mojito og spurte hvilken rom som ble brukt. Fikk svar på det, men når jeg spurte om de hadde andre rom å velge mellom fikk jeg et nedlatende svar om at det ikke var annet valg av rom til en mojito da det ikke ville gjøre noen forskjell. Spurte så om det var mulig å få mojito med angostura på ekte cubansk vis, som ja var mulig. Mojito kan fort tenkes som en 'enkel' drink å lage, men når jeg som kunde er så tydelig på å få laget den på en spesiell måte burde det tenkes at jeg ikke vil ha en 'vanlig' mojito alle kan lage. Denne baren skulle være ekstra flink på drinks, det var derfor vi var der. Drinkmenyen viste mange kule og gode drinker, men synd at basisdrinker nedprioriteres. Generelt: middels drink og nedlatende personale. Levde ikke opp til forventningene.

    Great experience. All the courses we had were excellent, using primarily local main ingredients and making them shine. Also nice use of pickling and ferments. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The wine selection is broad ranging from DRC to Radikon and Mother rock.
