The owner greeted us personally and gave us recommendations. We followed her advice and had a great time enjoying the Uigur food. Our favourite is the 烤包子,but the noodles are also very chewy. We will come back again. Edit: the third visit was not so pleasant because it was Saturday afternoon and without a reservation, we were told that we had an hour to eat. But after 30 minutes, while my friend was still eating, the waiter came and started taking away the plates.

The Tengri Tagh is a mid size restaurant central in Düsseldorf. It has a cultural and modern style with wooden furnitures. The prices are not cheap but rather acceptable. My rating for the set up are four stars. The menu is based on traditional Uighur dishes which are mainly based with noodles and lamb meat. At our visit we had a mix of both including baked goods and traditional bread. The dishes were delivered timely and it was all outstanding delicious and in portion size where you can’t blame not getting sated. Afterwards we ordered black tea prepared according the Uighur way. My review on the food are set on five stars. The staff is very friendly and trying to keep the customer happy. However, they are getting a bit uncoordinated when the restaurant is fully booked. But that’s the only thing I would declare as “room for improvement”. The rating for the staff are four stars. All in all the Tengri Tagh is a must have for the ones who are enjoying Asian food but rather wants to jump out of the regular stuff. My final overall rating are four stars.

Surprisingly good and high quality dishes. Everything felt freshly cooked and tasted delicious. Göxnan , which is a pastry dough filled with a thin layer of meat was the highlight. The noodles were nicely done and the meat perfectly cooked. Service was fast and staff was very friendly. Overall a very good experience and a place that I’m definitely going back.

Quite a nice experience. The food is very flavorful with extremely bold use of spices which they really pull off. The staff are super attentive and friendly. Two things we didn’t like which perhaps could be bettered is that the appetizer arrived after the 2 main dishes we ordered. Also the noodles with meat was quite cold but still tasty though.

I am quite a fan of Uigur quisine which is like a mixture of Turkey, central Asia, India, China and many more. So it absolutely appeals to me in every way. Laghman the traditional uigur noodles is my favorite and i prefer it with meat, and dumplings which we call manti in Turkish is quite yummy. You may find it a bit salty if you arent used to it. Also sut chai (salty tea) is a totally new and different experience. As a Turk I love the schwarz tea with a very nice flavor so you may try whichever appeals to you. I have to mention how lovely and friendly the staff is. Thanks for the lovely lady keep telling me how beautiful i am😄 she made my day🌸

Overall very good in all dishes, we ordered chicken, Lamb BBQ, two dishes of Uigur traditional noodles and others, even salt milk tea, all are good and traditional and I feel like I were in my hometown. Definitely the best Uigur restaurant I visited in Germany and price is fair enough! Atmosphere is also very good!

Definitely worth to try it. A simple decorated place with very delicious food. The fried noodle with veggies and meat was really good. However, I found the lamb skewer very dry and the Chinese dumplings very salty and the side sauce not really tasty. Overall impression and service were very good but for me not a five star rating.

It’s a family run small restaurant offering Uighur cuisine which is specialized in noodle and lamb dishes. I came on a weekday evening without a reservation and quickly was arranged a table. The service was fast and friendly. The food was tasty. Although the restaurant is not big, the arrangement of the tables provides enough space between tables. They accepted cash only. Wish they could accept credit card then I would come more often.

Absolutely fresh and delicious food. The noodles were amazing, great texture and well balanced flavors. The dumplings are surprisingly tasty and juicy. We enjoyed every last bite. And not to forget, the Uyghur tea is great! Something new and refreshing among the most popular teas around. Last but not least, the service is very kind and attentive. Definitely recommend trying this place. I am looking forward to come here again.

With my Central Asian roots where Uigur influence is very strong, I can state the food is not only authentic, but delicious and well sized. It was like a trip to my childhood where my grandma would serve samsa dumplings with salted milk tea and Navat. The staff and the owner are so friendly, so warm, I really had tears in my eyes for just being there and interacting with the owner in our languages that are so similar. Can't wait to go back there.

Cash only. The 凉皮 have a special soya flavour, and good texture, which is different from liangpi in other cuisines. The roasted lamb pastry is awesome too. These two are my most recommended. 大盘鸡 is not my favourite though.

Incredible Uighur food (Central Asian meets Chinese) combined with a clean classy interior and truly outstanding service make this an easy 5-star winner. The handmade pastries stuffed with lamb and veal were fluffy, flavourful, and filling. The Bärlauch Leghmenh (wild garlic and lamb over handmade noodles) was a delicious mix of cumin, Sichuan pepper, and rich lamb and pepper broth flavors... just wonderful. I will be coming back.

Great staff, they were friendly and even though we came on one of their busiest days were very attentive and nice! The food was amazing 10/10. It was my first time eating Uighur food. The portions are big enough to feed 2 people so I would recommend ordering one meal first and then maybe the other if you guys have space. We ordered a little too much (even though we finished everything) it hurt my wallet a lot, so the last star I'm taking away for my fallen wallet.

Made a reservation for a big group and the person I spoke to on telephone was extremely polite. Service at the restaurant was excellent. Food was delicious, freshly prepared. For a Friday evening the restaurant was completely booked and the staff was on their toes. Highly recommend visiting the restaurant for a lovely dining experience.

Tengri Tagh (God's Mountain) is a excellent place to eat traditional Uigur food with both tastes and service. We tried a few of the menu in our visits and enjoyed most of the foods. Once we had an unsatisfactory experience because of our wrong order but their approach was so kind and show their hospitality. We thank to Mr. Merdan and his team for excellent service with a kindness in all our visits.

Excellent food. All are halal food. Quite a different Asian food with a mix of central Asian and Chinese cuisine. The lamb and chicken were excellent. Also the mushrooms with meat was great. Must try is the spicy chiken witj noodle, the chicken gravy was spicy but addictive. No alcohol is served as its a Halal place.

Everything is so tasty here. Especially the meat loaf thing. Can’t describe how happy I am when I found out about this restaurant. The flavour is quite specially and its hard to find Uighur cuisines in general so it’s a real gem here.

I lived in China for a season a number of years ago, in a city with a sizable Uyghur population. My meal at Tengri Tagh took me right back to the streets of Beijing. Absolutely incredible dishes, great portion sizes, lovely tea, friendly staff. Visited with family for a birthday and it was a perfect spot! Thank you!

Ordered the spicy fried chicken and dumplings. I would like to rate it 4, as the food tasted delicious. But I felt the fried chicken was overpriced considering most (50%) of it was just bones (which also made it difficult to eat) and was not served with any side (no rice or noodle). The service was okay.

Friends of mine had visited this place twice, so they brought us there for early bird dinner. It was the first time for me and my hubby. Since we didn't have reservation, we took our chance be there early to get a table. Luckily the owner let us in as we agreed to her that we will not take more than an hour for our meal. My friends strongly recommend the fried noodle and bun, so we ordered them again. Beside that we had salad, the Kao Pao Chicken, and the special rice ( polo, Uyghur: پولۇ, полу) that recommend by the owner. In general, we liked the food we'd ordered, but a little disappointment in the rice. Honestly I have tasted similar to this and even better in the Turkish restaurants. We all loved the Kao Pao Chicken served in this place rather than the authentic Shi-Chuan Style Kao Pao Chicken which comes with lots of dried chili and peanuts. Neverthless, we all found that there wasn't enough vegetable. I guess this should be the typical Uyghur cuisine??.🙄 Talking about the drink selection they offer here, a restaurant that doesn't serve beer is quite unusual for Germans. Especially in Germany! We ended up ordered 2 bottles of water. I tried to comfort my husband by telling him that modern Uyghurs are primarily Muslim, so they don't consume alcohol drinks. The dine in experience?? Now....comes to the serious topic, the SERVICE. Shall I say that the tempo of this restaurant is so hasty?! Not only I had such feeling, my friends also felt the same. We were very surprised that the dishes were served so fast, one after another, I just couldn't really enjoy the food, I even had to rush myself to swallow the food in the mouth. We agreed ONE hour for eating time, and It was not even 1/2 hour we already finished our meal, and with only a little scraps in the plates! The pace here is even faster than McDonalds or Burger King. Since there was still some time remaining, we started to take slow for the remaining food in the plates and water. In the mean time I left for restroom. By the time I came back, we had already payed and the table was cleared up with only 2 glasses which still have some water in there. I drank up the water and left the restaurant. My friend she was not so happy about the experience this time. And my husband at end complained to me after we were home. While he was still eating the remaining food with his own plate, the waiter took away the other dishes without asking the guests who were sitting at table. Also the 2 empty glasses. We still had some water in the bottles, what were we gonna drink with? 4 people sharing 2 glasses??!! Boss lady, please and please, train your staffs! I don't think it's fair that some guests in Google reviews said you love money and don't care about the customers. It's too subjective and personal. I know that it is not easy to run a restaurant business, and I believe for all the gastronomy owners, who wouldn't want to have good business; to have every table turned over as quickly as possible; to accommodate as many customers as possible. But shouldn't there be a balance between quality and quantity?

Doesn’t deserve this high rating… horrible service, cash only, and above all, food is just not tasty enough. It feels like they learned how to make those traditional Uyghur dishes via YouTube videos, with zero experience, skills, nor heart. Noodles (minus the sauces and veggies and everything, so plain noodles) were alright, you could tell they were handmade.

We came here to end off our day with some good (and especially for my friends) spicy food. Know that, it's best to order different food together and sharing them with you friends or family I definitely recommend ordering the Dapanji (大盤雞, not in the pictures) It's best to reserve a table beforehand, however we were almost forgotten while waiting for our spot (despite reserving a table beforehand). The staff can be a bit confused but are very friendly and accommodating, would come again!
