Awful, one of my worst experiences at a restaurant. When my boyfriend and I walked in, everyone at the bar stopped talking and stared because we aren't from the area. We were wearing average clothes, and looked no different than anyone else- they just had never seen us in there before. It felt like we were intruding on a meeting of regulars, when anyone else walked through the door they were greeted with "Hello" and "How are you?". [To the Owner that commented, I'm sorry you do not understand what it's like to walk into this bar being of a different ethnicity and from out of town, but people were not as personable as you said. You said you "watched" a video, but do not know when I visited and weren't present when the issue was being resolved. I know you are trying to save your business, but that will not keep me from speaking the truth.] There was only one bartender to serve the entire room, and she had to do waitress duties as well. She served everyone at the bar a few times before we came to ask us what we wanted to drink, we waited almost 10 minutes for her to take our drink order. We were about to walk out at that point, and looking back we wished we would have. When the food came, it was even worse. The Reuben I had ordered came out completely black and charred on both sides, with a heaping spoonful of souerkraut in one spot making it burnt mush. The order of fried pickles were received as barely fried cold pickle mush, with the breading immediately falling off. When I complained about the reuben the bartender went to the kitchen, they made new toast and slapped together the sandwich again. It was brought to the table by a cook who dropped it with a loud tud on our table, saying nothing- gave us both a dirty look, and walked back into the kitchen. [To the owner who commented, it was sent back] I wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone of an ethnic diverse background, because you will get stared at, (at the least), for your differences. I wouldn't step foot back into this establishment, and if it wasn't for the regulars it wouldn't be open. The staff was rude, the customers were distasteful, and the food was a disaster. This establishment was an overall disappointment that I genuinely wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The service and atmosphere was wonderful. The BBQ needs some work. It was very greasey and unseasoned . The plating of the BBQ sampler was visually unappealing. The chicken and pork looks as if it was cut up into small chunks to feed children so they can chew it properly. We should have ordered the wings as that was what all the locals were eating. Those looks delicious! The best thing about our food was that it was priced right(meat platter was $29) and the tator tots were good! We loved the atmosphere and the service. Will go back try the wings!

I ordered the All BBQ platter for 2, with coleslaw, fries, and Spicy BBQ sauce. This is all the food they sent, glad I was not to hungry, there is hardly any food here for 28 dollars. I know times are hard but what they sent me was 3 ribs that were chewy, and difficult to eat, a small order of fries, two pieces of brisket (it was ok lots of fat but tender), coleslaw (look like it was in the refrigerator for the past two days horrible color and tast), chicken (that was dry) and water n vinegar for the sauce (I order spicy and ask for extra).

Mike and I stopped in here on a whim. We never realized what an incredible place this is! Right away, we need to write that we are HIGHLY RECOMMENDING that you stop in here and eat their meals! You can see by the photos that the plates are filled with delicious foods. The pulled chicken was a delight. The ribs are to die for!! And Mike decided to order the second plate of brisket (after driving 8 hours, he can have whatever he wants!) He's barely uttered a word! The chef cooks the food for hours and hours on their smoker outside!! When you stop in, ask for Ashley! She's a ball of fire, with the utmost most pleasant personality! She's given us so much info about many foods!! By the way, the coleslaw is her very own recipe 😊!! We truly appreciated Iman who took our order and was so pleasant to us!! Seriously, HATS OFF TO THE CHEF!! Thanks everyone, we are both so glad we stopped in. We'll be back!!

I'd give this place more than five stars if I could! Finally had the chance to visit after receiving a recommendation through the Winchester, VA Area Foodies group on Facebook. I had heard they had amazing steaks and noticed they had a Wednesday special so I paid a visit. When it came out, it was cooked and seasoned to the most perfection. It was extremely juicy, tender, and tasted like real beef, unlike many others I've had recently. The sides were delicious, and will need to try green beans since they were highly recommended by other patrons. Everyone was extremely friendly, and though we were visiting from Winchester, we made so many new friends. Very welcoming and friendly for sure, and prompt service from the kitchen and bartender/waitress. Drink options are plentiful and there's tons of specials throughout the week. Another customer also mentioned a membership option with tons of benefits, discounts, and private parties. Wether you're just driving through, are a local, or live nearby, you definitely need to try these folks out! I honestly cannot wait to try more dishes and catch up with our new friends! ❤️🤤💯

Stopped in the other day to get some food to go. Decided on the ribs with macaroni and cheese and baked beans as the sides. Had a beer while I waited for the food, which only took a couple of minutes. The ribs were pretty good, really liked the sweet sauce! The beans were good, I wouldn't get the macaroni and cheese next time.

I'd been feeling some ribs lately, and being a local to the Inwood area, I wanted to try something new (to me), and a local shop. I placed an online order for a full rack of ribs, mac and cheese, and green beans, as well as a burger and fries for my lady. Gus' did not disappoint. The ribs quite literally fell off the bone unwrapping them from the tin foil. The house BBQ sauce I got was perfect; slightly tangy, a bit smoky, and delicious. My fiance loved the burger and said it was one of the best she'd ever had. I didn't dine in, so I am not sure what that experience is like, but it was definitely a "bar and grill" sort of feel, though not like a chain. I will definitely get BBQ from Gus' again!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat after checkin out the area. First of all the young lady that helped us was awesome. The food was perfect, I got a pulled pork sandwich and sweet tea that was delicious. It’s really casual and a fun atmosphere. The prices were perfect too. Definitely try Gus’s Bar & BBQ.

The food was very good. My wife had the 1/2 ribs with French fries ( she ordered a baked potato) Delicious! I had the open faced prime rib ( was not expecting that) but it was still delicious. Our bartender was attentive super friendly and we look forward to our next visit!

Great bar to hang out and get some food. I stopped for wing night and they are the best wings in the area. The other food people were ordering looked amazing as well. The nachos are massive!

It's a dive bar. Decent food, good beer selections, the staff are friendly. Prices a little high but everywhere is so... Their burgers and fries are the best. The BBQ is decent. The ribs are better than the brisket.

Was supposed to be curbside pickup but no one answered phone. The ribs were the worst ribs I have ever had! They still had plastic wrapping cooked on the back. They were very overcooked tough and dry! I just threw 70.00 worth of food in thrash! I will definitely never recommend.

They have the best meat in town! Besides my husband's of course. Haha We get the platter for two and it's so juicy and full of flavor. The only complaint I have is the sides. Bland. And the baked potatoes must be done in the microwave because after sending it back, the next one still came out half raw.

We were on vacation. We were looking for a good BBQ place with good drinks and we certainly found a good one! The wings were really tasty. We all got different bbq chicken, beef, and pork sandwiches. With the amazing sauce they were absolutely to die for! Our waitress was super attentive and caring! Drinks were fabulous and a great price! Highly recommend for a good drink and BBQ

The food here is great ! The staff is super friendly. The only thing is the atmosphere is a bit off, that being said it was early afternoon when we visited, so it wasn't busy.. when we walked in, all the "regulars" stared at us, hard and for a good long time, long enough for me to feel uncomfortable, but after we sat down, everything was fine.

Love this place. Great smoked BBQ & cold beer. Now that's AMERICA! 😆 But seriously, the brisket and pulled pork are killer here!

Stopped in on way home, cute place, extremely clean bar, wonderful friendly bartender! Made us feel welcome immediately all that were close to us. Had wings and ordered Smoked chicken to take home. Both were great! Nice neighborhood pub, wish we had one. Will stop again for sure!!

Cool, local bbq spot. Always go for wing and burger night. Hand cut fries! Always spend less than $10 when I do go. Awesome Happy Hour!

It's probably one of the best places in inwood. Food is superb like literally EVERYTHING the bartenders are personable, darts and cornhole are the games her, one of the only bars I enjoy traveling to.

Just moved here and a mile from Gus’s BBQ. The beans and Mac and cheese are ok. Long black hair in my sandwich which kept me from eating the rest. Not thrilled

Stopped by a few days ago to deliver a package and heard a few customers say I needed to try their steak and cheese. It DID NOT DISSAPOINT! It was sooooo good. The service was awesome and quick. The bartender was so nice and sweet. She really made my sag calling me "sweetie" very welcoming atmosphere. Keep up the great work

Never been to the actual restaurant but have ordered take out a few times. Some of the best bbq I’ve had in the area. The meat was very tender and juicy. Wish I could have tried more of their sauces though.

Extremely friendly & welcoming! We’re not from the area, but had 2-3 hours to waste. Stopped in. The bartender was great! I only drank 3 beers, but husband got wings, that he loved. He even got an order to go. Highly recommend
