I've lived on the property for about two years now. Nice sizing for a single family, but still not up to my personal living standards. Only getting the chance now to go somewhere new and better. Although some things were good, there was also. plenty of bad. I consistently found numerous problems that were often 'fixed' quickly but lacked integrity. I'll touch on what the 'good' is here first since its vastly shorter. 1. The two women working in the front office are cool and will keep it real with you. I have no opinion on the mgr seeing as this one is newer and I'm leaving soon anyways. 2. The pool/gym/laundry area is cool. Used the pool the most (also I had a washer & dryer in my unit). 3. The office does things like pizza night and nacho nights which is cool for the kids and if you're not trying to cook. the BAD: 1. Two bathroom drawers have been 'repaired' since living here; one in each bathroom. It's obviously cheap material like particle board that's bound to break again. 2. The Master Bathroom has consistently had drain problems since moving into the unit. Being that it's close to several large trees I was always told it was roots. They'd 'clear' the pipes so that they were in 'working' condition. I've put in 3-4 work cases pertaining to this problem, so has it ever really been 'fixed'? (I'd say no). 3. Each of the roller closet doors (guest, one in master, and laundry doors) run off the track constantly. I had ordered repairs on these, but again those never lasted. It's not ideal but I made it work. 4. There was also numerous water spots/chipped paint on my ceiling. This was prevalent in the guest bathroom, master bathroom, as well as the space above the linen closet in the master bedroom. I've also found nails in the walls that have been covered with what looks like some sort of shotty spackling job. There have also been consistent issues with a small leak in my kitchen sink. 5. Now the most gross part. Roaches. We pay a monthly fee to have our units 'sprayed' but it never seems to do any good. I've raised concerns with it, and have been told that to have to taken care of it would be an additional fee, and I'd have to remove everything from every cabinet. Also pertaining to gross things - there is dog poop basically everywhere along the dog walking path by the school. Not the best way to start a morning when walking one's own dog. Also there's a surplus of cigarette butts on the ground; ALWAYS. 6. One of the most. frustrating things about area is the overpopulation of FERAL CATS. I can count 8-10 in the mornings while walking my dog and that's just on my side of the neighborhood. There's also another family of cats that live around the pool area. Someone in the area is feeding them, I see to-go trays FULL of food. This is not healthy for the cats or the people living around them. Who knows what diseases and illnesses these poor things are dealing with.

I read a lot of the posted reviews on here and I thought it was important to share my experience with Colonial Village at Windsor Place. My husband is in the Navy and we knew we would be moving soon so we sold our home in N. Charleston and looked for an apartment in the area. I looked at nearly 7 different places prior to deciding on CV. CV was one of the cheapest options, with a great staff, good looking apartments, and an apartment complex that was not huge and over built. There is a bit of a bug problem but that is all of Charleston! I owned a home, had a great pest control company spray every few months and I still got bugs. It happens. If they are really bad in the apartment, like our first week there (we saw all of 3 spiders and a roach), you can ask the front office to spray inside the apartment. We asked and the following Monday they came and sprayed inside. No big deal. The front office staff that I dealt with was PHENOMENAL! Jackie is the sweetest person I got to know and helped us out so much. She knew we were military and explained that as soon as we get orders she will put in the 30 days to vacate by the first of the next month. I was so nervous about that aspect with all of the other places because I was met with reluctance and whether or not there would be an issue. Jackie put all my fears aside with that and was constantly on top of things. If an issue came up, I sent in a maintenance request and emailed her, then the issue would be monitored. She would stay on top of it informing me if there was any delay or news, etc. I also dealt with Danielle. Honestly a very down to earth lady and made sure to keep up with any maintenance issues I had. She would personally ask me when I picked up packages if the items that were previously an issue were still doing ok. I even had a maintenance person walk through my apartment, step in my dog's poop (we had been gone a few hours and she didn't go prior to us leaving the apartment), and tracked it through the hall. She then offered to get our carpets cleaned where it was tracked, with no cost to us. There are issues with any apartment living as well as Charleston living. However, CV made this short term apartment feel like home. I had access to all of the plantations walking trails as well as great people to contact should anything come up. All-in-all, this place was great to my husband and I. I'm sorry if others were having an issue with this place but it did great for us.

Good apartment inside, just some element people & teens driving there bike and just looking around, don't let anything outside for sample (your bike even if you are tight it with a chain and locker, because it will be gone.

I've only been living here for 7 months at the time of this review. You can never go to the pool either because everyone from all over Goose Creek who does not live in these apartments uses the pool, and the only outdoor grills to use are by the pool. The staff never really gives me reliable answers, no matter which questions I ask. I always get a different answer. If you want to wash your clothes, you have to use a laundry type facility behind their office, which is also known to the public, even with a security code on the door. In the long run, you are paying more to wash your clothes versus saving. The gym part is so small with hardly any option to do any kind of workout you want. The internet is down half the time. Their is always some kind of construction going on. You will receive email threatening to increase your rent clearly because of other people actions they are deciding to make. So if one screws up, the entire community is going to suffer for it. The community itself is very sketchy after a while. My bicycle was stolen even though it was chained and secured, people driving their mopeds through the side walk community, not on the road provide, but between apartment and walk ways. No matter how thoughtful you are towards the people who live around you, they aren't. Had someone called the law because I was too loud for two hours when I was asleep for 4 hours. The list can keep going. I'm one that let things slide, but enough is enough. Overall, I came here because of cost and convenience, I can clearly see that spending a little more in a better place is worth it over a place like this. My lease isn't up but I very close to finding a better place to stay. And I'm not the only one thinking this way either.

I’ve never met a better human being than Ryan Hayden. You will not find a better property owner. The man truly cares about his employees and his tenants.

This has, by far, been the most pleasant and uplifting “apartment experience” I’ve had. Katie and Ryan not only helped me with the move-in process but also also personally— providing me with hope and joy during a rough transition. Through and through, they’re amazing property managers but also people. They’re knowledgeable, helpful, positive, and personable! Thank you for helping make this apartment feel like home and for being attentive with anything that needs to be taken care of. You’re both rockstars!

The staff at Colonial Village at Windsor Place is outstanding. We have rented for a year (the Pandemic year) and now renewed for an additional year. The ladies in the leasing office have truly made our residency there appealing. Their communication is timely. Renovations are still continuing and the community is looking great.

today I went to tour a one bedroom apartment, and I was greeted by the amazing Katie!!! Katie was able to tell me about the property and gave me a great tour of a one bedroom apartment. Katie was absolutely wonderful and was very straightforward and upfront. Katie definitely deserves a raise and she definitely made my day 100% better. Thank you Katie for this amazing experience!

Such a well ran community in one of the best locations in the Goose Creek area! The office staff is super communicative and genuinely always appear happy to help residents. I love popping by even if I don’t have a reason to!

I’m currently a Maine resident and intend to relocate to South Carolina. I applied to live in the MAAC community after doing some research online, and since applying; the staff has been extremely helpful. Katie has gone approve and beyond to reach out to me every other day or so, sometimes even every day. She’s incredibly sweet, and has helped me every step of the way. My experience with MAAC has been a pleasant one to say the least. So fingers crossed and I’m really hoping I can land an apartment in this community.

We just moved in but from what we have noticed, this place is wonderful. It's quiet. It's in a great area. The staff is awesome! We love it so far and feel safe which is so important to me.

Lived here three different times (2009, 2014-2015, 2018-2019). Pretty nice for the money. Recommend a top floor apartment because living on the bottom floor, you can hear every time your upstairs neighbor moves (the floors are very squeaky). But I never had any major complaints, which is why I kept returning to the community. I loved the tennis courts (it’s getting harder to find complexes with tennis courts) and Crowfield’s walking trails were beautiful.

We have been residents of Windsor Place for 20 years. We have been extremely happy here. We call it our little spot of heaven. Our balcony overlooks the dog walking area, we are dog lovers so this is delightful. Also there is a row of trees, we are bird watchers so there we go again. We consider the office staff and maintenance crew our friends. Service calls are taken of promptly and efficiently. We feel safe and valued as residents. We’ve met many interesting fellow residents, and we plan to stay here as long as they’ll have us.

Living at Colonial Village at Windsor is very pleasant. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. Apartment complex is close to Banks, grocery stores,, and restaurants. Apartment complex is within walking distance to the park, bicycle trails, and Crowefield's lake. The office staff is quick to respond to any repair needs and or any questions you may have. I am so delighted to have found such a comfortable living atmosphere.

The complex has been taken over by new management in the past year or so. They have upgraded many of the units and they look great! The office staff are so friendly and helpful. They really do try to know their residents (they always see me walking to front office and get my package ready when I have one). Recently, they have been doing a lot of community events for the whole complex. I haven't been able to attend, but I hear they are nice. The pool is nice and the fitness center looks pretty decent (I don't really use these amenities so not a good judge). Maintaince has come to fix something before and they are great and also friendly. My only complaints are 1) you can definitely hear your upstairs neighbors if you are on the bottom floor. Mine have a child that constantly runs back and forth while I am trying to study. And 2) only the 2nd floors have screens on the sliding glass doors. I really wish I could leave mine open, but I don't want all the bugs.

Very professional, extremely nice, and a beautifuly detailed property. Has a pool a laundromat and a gym! Plus I have friends that stay here too so they also say it's a nice place to reside.

Best first home my boyfriend and I could get moved from va to SC and definitely was a big change but everyone is so nice and respectful and if you have any type of problem big or small they are on it to fix it. Couldn’t ask for a better place to live.

Great place to live. Management staff are very friendly and quick to address any issues. They also have fun things to do for the residents, ie food trucks on premises during the week and activities such as March Madness bracket competition.

I've lived here for a little while and like all places there are there pros and cons but I do want to give Justin Q some credit where credit is due. We have had some Maintenance issues with our ac and as promised he really came through for our family and kept working with us to solve that issue. He was very professional and understanding! Thank you Justin!

I went on a tour with Katie and it was easily the best part of my day. She was enthusiastic about showing me the unit, and she was knowledgeable about the goings on the property. She was more than nice and unbelievably relatable, she made me feel like more than an application number I was a person with a story to her and I can’t WAIT to move in. I am so appreciative of Katie!

I recently visited this community and now a resident. My experience with the staff was excellent. Everyone was extremely nice and professional and very helpful. All of the agents made it pleasurable during my home search. It's also a clean and quiet community that's within minutes of shops as well.

Great location and clean! Perfect space for a 2 bedroom. Only complaints is I'm paying 1800 a month as a single mom working full time job (brutal) and it's older so you can hear everything your neighbors do, including using the bathroom.

Since the new Management team came on board earlier this year I have seen many improvements. Ryan and Katie are great Property Managers. The Property is beautifully landscaped and exterior is well maintained and manicured. Property is in close proximity to schools, I-26, and about 20 minutes to Airport. Also, shopping/groceries/restaurants are close as well. There is a pool, fitness room and tennis courts. The maintenance staff- Don does a great job. He is very responsive to any issues I have had and they are always completed in a timely manner. Ryan was very professional and responsive to an issue I was having and it was resolved in a timely manner. He provided updates and kept me in the loop during resolution. Also, rules of MAA are now being enforced. I have lived here since 2016. Keep up the great job at MAA Crowfield - Windsor Place.

The new office team are kind, friendly, efficient and nothing short of amazing. Any time I have to visit the office I am always greeted with great energy. Both Ryan and Katie are always willing to help in any way possible. I am in the process of transitioning from a 1bedroom to a 2 bedroom and Ryan has made the transition absolutely seamless. Since the new team has taken over several community rules that were not adhered to have since been reinforced, which has made community living that much more enjoyable. The maintenance team are always quick to respond and remedy an issues that may arise. This is by far the best office team the community has had since I have lived here.
