    Rob is a godsend! I've struggled with a low back injury that has gotten progressively worse over the years. Rob put together a comprehensive plan that for the first time makes me feel like I'm on track towards recovery and working out like I used to. He identified a strength/flexibility disparity between my right and left sides that was either caused by or aggravated by the injury, which other PTs have missed. Rob is skilled, kind, and has a great mastery of physical therapy and sports medicine. I definitely recommend the Technique PT! I was recommended to Rob by my orthopedist, and although he was out of my network, I took a chance and made the investment. If you are in the same situation and have the ability to, just go for it! Your health is worth it and you won't regret it.

    Went to Dr. Rob Lin after a rugby knee injury for 6 sessions! Great manual work, really knows his stuff, and challenging exercises and training to get back to knee readiness. It's a huge difference to work with a PT focused on high-level athletics, and for contacts sports. Was able to play in a USA rugby match less than a month after a fibula sprain! Beautiful clean space in Berkeley, convenient location and parking. Give him a call!

    If you are considering going to physical therapy go to Rob! I tore my PCL and went to an in-network physical therapist for the first few months of PT and did not see much improvement. I switched over to Rob, and have seen results and changes immediately. After my first session with Rob I could feel my strength and confidence coming back. His exercises are for your whole body in addition to your injury to help balance and help your body recover. Rob is definitely worth it, and I couldn't recommend him more!

    Rob was recommended to me by a trusted family friend whose injury was healed through sessions with him, and he's been a great help to me in the handful of sessions we've had so far. He listens attentively, is clearly very knowledgeable, and integrates mindfulness/energy work that is rooted in science to support the body's natural healing capabilities. Rob has been helping me with a knee injury I sustained last fall that has been lingering/slow to heal. I'm working to heal chronic overuse and tension patterns and had been seeing a PT through Kaiser, but the combination of attention and careful assignment of appropriate strengthening exercises I'm doing with Rob along with skillful hands-on work to release chronic tension in my fascia is helping me to progress for the first time in these many months of rehab. I'm seeing a gradual reduction in pain, and definitely more muscle definition and strength, thanks to Rob's guidance!

    Followed Rob from his previous location to The Technique because there is no one I trust more to prepare me to head back to sports. Equally important to me was the emotional support and kindness Rob radiates! Mid-way through my ACL and meniscus rehabilitation, I purchased 6 sessions. I saw really notable strides in mobility and strength as sessions progressed. Rob’s recommendations were always specific to my goals, diverse in movement, incorporated latest technology/tools, and pushed me to the next level of recovery. Perhaps most beneficial was his work on my scar tissue. Rob really cares for his patients and is invested in their success. Can’t recommend enough!

    Dr. Rob Lin has provided an excellent rehab experience and I highly recommend working with him! He's helped me recover from an achilles injury and prepare for season. It's been valuable to have a PT who's familiar working with high-performance athletes (esp. contact sports). The manual treatment is some of the best I've had and the rehab program is thoughtful and personalized. He truly brings a lot of knowledge, passion, and care to his patients. Bonuses - the space is clean, well-equipped and the location has convenient parking.

    I went to Dr. Rob to get treatment for my hip bursitis. I was seven weeks out from doing an ultra. Dr. Rob was able to start working with me relatively quickly. His approach was holistic as he incorporated elements of strength, balance, massage, etc. I was able to do my race and not experience any issues. Highly recommend!!

    Rob has been a great physical therapist helping me work through shoulder & neck pain from working out & bad desk setup. He takes the time to massage out the pain & stretch before strengthening. The space is also so big & clean!

    I've struggled with a chronic hip issue for over a decade that makes it hard to run and workout. I've worked with lots of doctors and therapists over the years and have seen more progress in my time working with Rob (a couple months so far) than the last few years combined. Rob listened and completely understood the challenges in my body, created a sense of calm and progress, created a plan for rehab work I can do on my own, and helps me tweak and grow as I progress through the plan. I'm now back out there running pain free! Rob's the real deal. Thank you thank you thank you.

    Rob has been instrumental in the recovery of my low back post L4/L5 microdiscectomy! I came to him in rough shape, just a few weeks post-op still having residual pain and sciatic nerve damage and Rob has been there every step of the way to nurse and coach me back to my health. Besides his warmth, sense of humor, and encouragement the thing that stands out with Rob vs other PTs is the individualized attention. He’s with you the whole hour, does hands on body work, and watches you carefully as you do the exercises picking up on small adjustments in form that make a world of difference. Also, your home exercises are connected to an app that makes it easy to track/ remember what you’ve learned. I’m feeling so much better and stronger thanks to Rob! Definitely recommend The Technique if you need PT- trust me, it’s worth the investment!

    Rob did an amazing job with both my wife and I. I can in with shoulder and elbow pain from lifting and my wife came in with hip pain which would come out of place. He had us come in for an assessment and found the issues, gave us detailed instructions and exercises to fix it. After 12 weeks both of our issues are gone. Highly recommend checking him out if you have any kind of physical issues!

    Rob has been an absolute angel! I had a pinched nerve last January, 2022. I am into different modalities of bodywork, but couldn’t do any of them because the pain was too great. I was weary about physical therapy because many practitioners stopped doing active release, which was what I needed. Then I found Rob… Rob actively worked with my body to alleviate the pressure of the herniated discs, allowing the nerve to begin healing. He found other spots on the spine that the doctors hadn’t even pointed out. He worked on those trouble areas too so my healing was dynamic and holistic. Rob put together manageable routines for me to do on my own. Biweekly, I would meet up with him to get more active release manipulations and upgrade my routines to continue strengthening weak muscles. The nerve takes a while to heal, but I am 100% better. My healing is largely owed to Rob and his determination in getting to the solution for my injury. He is kind and gentle; he listens and is completely unassuming; in other words, he actually cares. Do your body a favor and call for an appointment!

    Dr. Rob Lin is very thorough with his assessments. I've had knee and shoulder pain the last few years, but he's helped me regain strength and confidence in using them like normal again. His practice is unique in that all the PT exercises are more than strengthening the muscle but more using them in functional ways. I recommend The Technique to anybody looking for therapy. I like to be active and the exercises I've utilized from Dr. Lin has helped me stay active by addressing my issues. Will be continuing with The Technique to keep me moving right!

    I did six sessions with Dr Alice for a very mysterious and very painful sciatica-like syndrome in my leg. Alice was fantastic to work with and helped me a ton. She went at the problem very patiently and systematically,from several angles, and when we were finished the pain was about 90% gone - which was *huge*; I'd begun to feel downright cursed with pain - and I was now equipped with a whole battery of exercises and stretches to help me keep it away. So far they've worked great.
