Advertising and listing the room as having a balcony but not in reality.. Their excuse the rooms which have balcony are sold out, but the price of the rooms without balcony is the same ?!!? You can be disappointed when you enter the room. I had to cancel and find alternative hotel in tne evening just after check in..

Upon arrival things were made unnecessary difficult, the reception wanted a credit card as a proof for the payment, whilst the booking was made using a debit card. The staff was able to solve this issue but for us this wasn't the best start of our stay here. The Hotel itself is good, but we had some issues with the airconditioning and the beds are really bouncy (my advice would be to choose two separate beds instead of one). It's really quiet here at night and the neighborhood feels safe. The breakfast is amazing!

Schöne Hotel sehr nah an alles was man braucht und dennoch sehr ruhig.

Extremely clean room and bathroom. Being on the last floor I also had a big terrace. The rooms are huge and bright. A huge variety of food for breakfast. However I only give 4 stars as I stayed in the residency side of the hotel and my room was communicating with the below second floor room for those who are willing to get a 2bedrooms apartment. Because the 2 rooms were separated only by a closed door I heard noise all the time from the guests one floor below my room.

Perfect location. But: service is really bad, no reception at all times, no housekeeping in the evening, no room service - nothing to eat at the hotel, only snacks. They just don‘t care about their guests. We asked them to change the bed sheet (baby peed on it) and they didn‘t. They even didn‘t change used cuttnery in the room. The rooms are not clean at all times. I don‘t get how this hotel can be a four stars hotel.

Excellent stay! Had a business trip where I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was super comfortable and spacious. The staff were amazing. They surprised me with a birthday cake in the morning. This is something I didn't expect. Thank you Mercure Hotel for the warm hospitality.

    - The room had a very good size but upon arrival we got a surprise. On the bed there was a sign saying that ‘’ Due to Corona the cleaning of the room was suspended until we would leave (4 nights) ‘’ It’s not really clear to me what it means to not clean due to Corona. Since we had to show our prove of vaccination. I thought that we should work more on cleaning rather then cutting down on it during corona. - the stuff was very friendly apart from one last at the reception that did not enjoy being friendly. The rest of the team was really nice though. - overall part from the cleaning it was a good experience.

I liked the Mercure a lot. Nice East Berlin vibe, large room 30m2 very comfortable. Good location, walkable to most things to do and see. Staff were great, drinks and curry wurst at the bar!! Excellent value for money.

Decent rooms, the option for three people would have been good to split them cost more but that's not a big deal. Clean and warm. The breakfast was a good standard as well with plenty to choose from. It's about a 5 minute walk to checkpoint charlie and 20 to brandenberg gate.

Our rooms at the Mercure were great and perfect for our group of 4. We booked the family suite which has 2 bedrooms and bath off hallway in between bedrooms. Bath is split into room with shower/tub/sink/counter and a separate toilet room. That helps with a larger group! Great location, close to Checkpoint Charlie and walkable to Brandenburg Gate (about a mile or so). Very nice bar with decent food downstairs - we stopped for a snack late one afternoon and was very appreciative to have that available.

The hotel is conveniently located between 2 u-bahn stations. The room was large with a small balcony and overlooked a quiet courtyard. I liked the separate toilet and bathroom. We booked breakfast, a good range of breakfast items, cold, hot etc. and serves until 11am at weekends. Serving dishes were always topped up. Staff very pleasant and helpful in breakfast area. There is a small bar area also.

Wonderful location, nice and quiet area that is accessible to a number of touristic sites (Check Point Charles is a 2 min walk away). Delicious restaurants near by to choose from. Beautiful quiet courtyard with luscious trees and foliage with comfortable patio furniture, bean bag chairs and umbrellas to enjoy some delicious wines and/or breakfast. Buffet breakfast is very plentiful and hardy with lots of options. Staff are wonderful and rooms are spacious and clean. A shout out to Mr. Q. Lu, he is friendly, fun to chat with and kind, he was outstanding during my stay and always had a smile.

We stayed four nights. We especially enjoyed the bountiful breakfast buffet and enjoyed evening drinks in the comfortable and welcoming hotel bar. There were some age stains in the carpet in the hotel room, but that's the only negative of the entire stay -- everything was clean and tidy, and our room even had a small private balcony overlooking a beautiful interior courtyard. I would definitely return to this hotel!

Very bad experience had my Tablet stolen from the room, management said sorry, and that was it. Dont go there mold in the shower no security system and they do nothing to secure your safety. The breakfast is a rip of at 24 euro per person per night. The management doesnt know anything about how to run a hotel Miss sommer has smile but thats is a joke. Be adware there are bed bugs in this hotel

They stole money from me. We booked 3 rooms for three persons each. 2 of the rooms, no problem but one of the room they told us the next day that there would be an extra charge of 40 euros per night. No flexibility whatsoever. We paid in total 2000 euros for 4 nights for 3 rooms and they would not care at all. In fact they told us to leave the room if we don’t pay the extra change.

The hotel has multiple issues: front staff is unfriendly and needs training at least showing some interest or actually learning how to help resolving the problems including medical matters; rooms have to be vacuumed (rolls of dust and lint accumulated on the floor), and curtains washed or dusted at the minimum, beds must be maid (blankets were folded but pillows untouched), an additional blanket was tossed on my shoes in the closet. Despite having a bar, one cannot order coffee, just the full breakfast. Huge disappointment!

Wonderful experience! We arrived at the hotel at 1 pm and the room was already ready. The friendly guy at the reception let us into the room even though check in is from 3pm. The room is huge, everything is clean, you have absolutely everything you need for your stay. The location of the hotel is perfect. Hotel, service, cleanliness... Everything was great! We will be happy to come back again! 😍

Had a great experience with this Hotel. We were early and warned the reception that we are arriving with 2 kids fallen asleep in taxi. They prepared our double room on time and allowed us to let children sleep in the waiting hall not to disturb them after long flight. The rooms were perfect and the price was quite low for the center of the Berlin. Want to personally express my gratitude for the polite, understanding personnel and for the warm welcome.

The location of the hotel is pretty good. My room however was rather weird. It was a single room and the allocation of the room was quite strange. It was very narrow; on the left side was the bed and a nightstand with only a short path between the wall and bed, in the middle of the room (where you enter) was a desk with a TV pointing towards the door (I assume you could turn it in the direction of the bed, but I had no need) and on the right side was a dresser area, the desk was therefore an obstacle that you had to circumvent. I have never seen such a strange room to be honest. It was also relatively dark. The room was located on the 8th floor without an elevator (!) which only went up to the 7th floor, not ideal with heavy luggage. Generally, I felt the price was way too expensive for what I received and I will not book this hotel again.

Had a really enjoyable stay at Mercure Hotel Checkpoint Charlie. Room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast too with plenty of choice. First visit to Berlin and we thought it was wonderful. Would love to return.

Excellent hotel location, several restaurants nearby, walking distance to a lot of attractions, as well as supermarkets. Room size was also great. Overall stay was really good. Only two things need improvement: the sofa bed and the air conditioning. Mattress was not at all comfortable, we could feel the springs while laying down. AC didn't cool down the room at all and we needed to open the windows to get some breeze.

Very impressed with our 4 night stay, the hotel was well located, the suite we had was huge (723) and had a balcony looking into the courtyard. Great to have a mini fridge, plenty of storage space and air con. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Comfortable bed and soundproofed rooms are a perfect combination for good sleep. Very happy overall with the staying at this hotel, I couldn’t ask anything more, thus the 5*.

Nice room. Great breakfast. Well situated to get around. Edit: By chance I stayed on my birthday. They had a reserved breakfast table and a birthday cake. It was awesome!

good location and the room is quite spacious for a family. But the air conditioning is way too warm in the room and heater wasn't even on. Another minus price is I find the breakfast way too expensive for what it offers.

Location is fabulous, <5 min from CheckPoint Charlie, station, food, grocery store. Good sized room, good heating, good customer service. Room service comes quite early and woke us (we didn't think to put the do not disturb on before going to sleep). Little hotplate and microwave so you can cook your own food on a longer stay. Coffee machine (loved this touch) provided. Overall a good place to stay!

Excellent location! The staff was very cordial and accommodating. My flight was cancelled and they worked with me to adjust my reservation. The room was very spacious and clean, and the water pressure in the showers was great. The windows had blackout curtains so I could recover well during my stay following a long flight. And the place is in walking distance to quite a few sites, including Checkpoint Charlie, Kommunikations Museum and the Mall of Berlin.

Bed was pretty hard so my back didn't enjoy the time here. Wifi was pretty good and it's a great spot to park the car and explore Berlin on foot.

The hote has a perfect location to explore Berlin by walk. Breakfast is delicious and extremely diverse the bar is cosy, the staff is a wonder of friendliness and efficiency! Rooms are big and well equipped, clean but some spots neglected - we arrived in an extremely busy days - it might explain.

The room was clean and overall okay, and at first we were pleasantly surprised to see we had two floors with a toilet on each. But the room layout and design quickly turned out to be stupid. You enter on the lower floor, but the only place to hang your coat was upstairs. The only storage space was on the lower floor but the bed was upstairs etc. We have only seen this one room, so no idea how the other rooms look.

Stayed here for 3 nights in April. A nice quiet area. Good location for seeing the sites of Berlin. Strange room layout, there was a lot of wasted space. Wasn't keen on the 2 x single beds pushed together and 2 x single duvets. Comfortable bed though. We had 2 x TVs, which just seemed a little odd. The room was VERY hot and the heating wasn't even on!

A great location to see all the important historical locations in Berlin. 20 minutes walk to the Brandenburg Tor. Public transport close to the hotel, including the underground, which makes it easy to get to the zoo as well as the central station, and a variety of bars, restaurants and museums nearby. Literally 2 minutes from Checkpoint Charlie. The rooms were extremely spacious and modern, whilst the hotel was friendly and welcoming with staff that were prepared to go the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable. I chose this hotel because I have stayed in another hotel in another part of Germany in the same chain, but this was exceptional and truly great value for money. For the management - if you stay in rooms ending 08 and 12 (and others including 11) - it’s very confusing if you are not told from the start that these rooms are in a separate wing and are not easily accessible by the main lift. Please tell people the easiest way to get there is by the door further along the road!! Also the bar could do with a bit more variety on the food it offers in the evening (although plenty of alternatives nearby). Overall a fantastic hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend it!

Organisation a little bit chaotic, but very friendly, tidy and good breakfast. Excellent location for tourists.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend with friends. The room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable, with a balcony. The only slight issue was that it was a little warm and we needed to keep the balcony door open at times to cool it down. The breakfast was good with extensive choice, and the bar pleasant for a night-cap. Being close to Checkpoint-Charlie, it was a good location to begin sightseeing.

Breakfast and the rooms are the highlights of this well located hotel. The breakfast buffet is honestly worth every penny. The food is fresh and will last you all day. Wonderful variety of breads, proteins, cereals, yogurts, cheese, tea bar, coffee makers, etc… fantastic. The rooms are always so comfortable and clean. They are spacious and modern. Bravo to the whole staff.
