Insider
tip
for
jazz
enthusiasts:
The
White
Cube
Bergedorf
is
inconspicuously
located
in
an
old
industrial
hall.
Here
industrial
flare
meets
the
most
progressive
jazz
music.
Rather
unknown
musicians
from
everywhere
come
and
go
here
and
create
the
craziest
sounds.
If
you're
bored
by
the
archaic
structures
of
common
jazz
music,
you've
come
to
the
right
place.
Polyrhythms,
ghost
notes,
sounds
from
objects
that
you
would
never
have
thought
were
instruments
and
an
incomparable
ambience
make
up
the
White
Cube.
As
a
cultural
association,
the
White
Cube
is
financed
through
donations,
so
you
choose
the
"entrance
price"
yourself
(it's
worth
every
euro).
At
the
bar
you
can
get
beer,
wine,
gin
and
other
classics.
Depending
on
the
program,
there
may
be
evenings
when
the
music
doesn't
pick
you
up,
progressive
ideas
are
just
that:
progressive.
But
that's
absolutely
fine,
after
all,
this
is
a
cultural
association
and
not
an
on-demand
service.
I
can
advise
anyone
who
is
interested
in
jazz
to
take
a
look
here.
Every
age
group
is
welcome.
Even
if
the
average
age
is
rather
high,
you
shouldn't
let
that
put
you
off.
One
last
tip:
The
jam
sessions
are
awesome!
