I hate this place. They treat people with terminal cancer like dirt and do not explain to patients or family members that the cancer has reached the final stage. Unfortunately, we only found out about this in another hospital. Our mother died a week later. And they didn't even provide my mother with a wheelchair when she was discharged so I could wheel her to our car. I asked the entire hospital for a wheelchair. It was called “find it yourself”. I didn't find any. So I drove my mother to the car in a portable toilet. Then they said “bring it back up.” During her stay, my mother was X-rayed every day to make more coal out of her. Of course without any communication. This means that the inhumans there tortured her every day on her last days because she could no longer walk. And then dismissed without a word. We asked to speak to the chief physician every day. None ever took place. We were said to be late every day. We were with her every day from morning to evening. After two days at home in pain and unaware of my mother's condition, I finally took her to another hospital. There they asked about my mother's file in Behring. The documents were not handed over. She was finally x-rayed in the emergency room so they could give us information. The head doctor came. His words were. "I'm very sorry. Your mother has cancer. I've never seen anything like that myself." She died a week later in this hospital. Fortunately, with honor as she deserved. Each People should pay dues. Don't go! Awful! I don't know what there is to clarify or what that would bring. I would like to sue your hospital.

Worst hospital ever. First, the feeling there is that just hate Immigrants and people that they are not Germans! No one wants to talk in English. Had hand surgery, they made me the local anesthesia and left me to wait 3.30 hours for surgery on a bed outside without telling me what the hell is going on till I went ti ask, I was crying and was really didn’t understand what going on there. No one just didn’t care. Just terrible place, who made me really trauma. Hope no one will get treatments there. Stay away from this racist place!

I broke my thumb and went to the emergency room at 7:30am. They took down my insurance details and asked me to wait in the waiting room for 2 hours. I thought that was long but didn't have any other options since I was in pain. After 30 minutes, the nurse walks in to the waiting room and tells me that there will be no orthopedic surgeons available for the next 5-6 hours and that I should try another hospital!! Are you kidding me? What sort of hospital and emergency room is this?? 0/5. Avoid at all costs.

(Translated by Google) Unfriendly, incapable, emphatic, unsanitary - in short, Helios Klinikum Emil von Behring. Without any examination by my family member, they say straight away, we recommend a lung transplant. Failure gang from surgeon to sister. I have never seen such an unfriendly and snooty condescending staff in my life. (Original) Unfreundlich, unfÀhig, emphatielos, unhygienisch - kurz gesagt, Helios Klinikum Emil von Behring. Very bad experience. The secretary was so rude when I told her that I canÂŽt speak german, if she could please speak english. Never imagined a reaction like this was possible. Do not go here if you are an Ex-Pat. They will treat you like trash.

(Translated by Google) I don't usually write anything. But here I feel obliged to warn everyone. The Behring KH is terrible: (1) the doctors who give you no information, (2) the nurses are mostly indifferent, (3) the treatment is the last thing - who gives a patient with stage 4 cancer only ibuprofen 600 as a pain reliever? ?? and much more. That was TORTURE in the last few weeks of my mother's existence. It hurt so badly. I was helpless and thought that she would be helped. To make a diagnosis. Treat your pain. But the KH has not managed to do either one or the other. In addition, the majority of the employees appeared racist. WARNING ... you better choose a different KH! (Original) Ich schreibe normalerweise nichts.

One star is too much, I would like to have given a cluster of stars in the minus range. If you want to experience its blue miracle and have legal protection insurance, I recommend Helios in Zehlendorf. If you want to get proper treatment, you'd better look for another hospital. Treatment here refers to doctors and staff. One asks neutrally for his patient data and gets in the most pampigsten tone an announcement that there was nothing to discuss and one patiently 6 weeks on the medicines & Co. to wait. I understand long waits and loops because of lack of staff etc but such a rude kind may not be displayed in a hospital! I am very disappointed with the room i am staying in as well the food that have been fed last 5 days .I am diabetic with feet issues i been pit in a room with a person who had gastric problems and had a terrible case of gas not to mention everytime he went to the dr he never closed the bathroom door and the place smelled so bad one couldn't stay in the room .When i asked a nurse to put me with someone who didn't have such '' smelly ''problem she responded we can put you in a private room for 130 Euros per night .It seems in this hospital when you wish to have a comfort and peace a room without ''ass smell-o-vision '' you need to pay or they make you so uncomfortable you have no other choice but pay extra. The medical stuff was OK ,the DR i met was decent and one woman DR was also very well prepared. The nurses stuff i think is overworked and does not really love what they are doing .There is touch of racism too .I speak 3 languages and it was amusing to see them being confused that i understood their racist comments mumbling in the hallway under their nose .......However that is just something you are getting used to in the setting such as this .I also wanted talk about the food cause how can one feed diabetic people so much carbs ???? No option for a salad for the evening , they gave me 3 mini tomatoes and gread and cheese 5 days in the row .Bread in the morning and evening and loads of carbs for lunch !!!When you sick and you must go to hospital you like to get a decent care and you like to feel welcomed in a place were you need to spend 1-2 weeks .This experience so far has been disappointing and the warmth here is not visible - i am just waiting to get better so i can get out from this hospital .

(Translated by Google) The sisters, as well as Ralf and Lars from Ward 22, were incredibly nice and looked after me very lovingly. The result of the operation was impressive, even though it was only an intermediate step towards reconstruction with the patient's own tissue! On May 14th, the time had come and I got the double diep from Dr von Fritschen, Dr Naik and Ms. Dr. Grill done in a brisk 6 hours. This was followed routinely for one night in the intensive care unit and then in the hospital for 5 days. Admittedly, the short length of stay is quite sporty, but a plastic surgeon is available at any time (24/7) even after discharge. In my case it was necessary to introduce myself again at short notice. Everything imaginable was done for me, including the call from Dr. Al Shobash at my house to share the good news regarding the decreased inflammation levels !!! I have had very positive experiences with all the doctors on the team and would always decide to go there. My surgery result is awesome! Cosmetically, it far exceeds my expectations.

Really caring staff, from reception to nurses and doctors to support workers. I'm so grateful for their kindness. Everybody made an effort to speak English or French with me, a Canadian with still-poor-German. Special huge thanks for that. Mad respect for the nurses at station 21 and the OR.

(Translated by Google) The star is for the doctor, in the emergency room a receptionist was very unfriendly, my little daughter (3) had to go to the hospital of course !!!, I had the feeling that my daughter was too disgusted and talked to her if she was an adult .. "please keep still" the receptionist wanted to measure the fever. So I think if a small child is sick you have to be treated with love and that was not the case here !! (Translated by Google) The positive is the palliative care unit, intensive care unit / wax. and the B1 otherwise Helios saved the former great hospital to death !!! Older people are treated with respect on these four stations. Thank you very much for that đŸ€— otherwise the nursing staff on the other wards has a terrible tone at times, unless they are leasing workers, they are all nice. Assistant physicians who think they have eaten wisdom with spoons and when they make mistakes don't even apologize. Everything seems very dirty, the food is a complete disaster, many are annoyed and have no sympathy for older patients, who are downright chafed at. Those who love their parents should avoid this hospital except for the stations mentioned above! There is a lot of chaos on some wards, no agreements between each other, everyone does theirs and as a relative you are just a nuisance. Awful!!!! Well
I went there to know what happened to my elbow. They didn’t see a fracture and told me to keep a bandage for 10 days. After I went to an orthopedic who said that I needed a surgery, now my bone has a step (I needed a screw) but it is too late for a surgery because the bone is already calcified. They treated me well although I had to wait an eternity and I trusted them, but
my elbow was not fixed. (Incompetence or racism đŸ€·â€â™€ïž no one spoke with me in English but I have a good German level so I could understand everything) Now I need to keep living with this problem
 Watch out!

Worst experience ever! Long time stay for more than 3.5 hours to receive a report that don’t take 2 minutes. We already finished the checkup and stayed from 5:30 pm to 9 pm to receive report. The doctor (Osman) ignored us and continued to call new names of new patients, while my son who was feeling sever pain in stomach and headach suffered all this time without a tablet to relief him. Racism and unprofessional hospital. Rude staff.

When it comes to children's orthopedics, everyone affected is well advised here. With a lot of empathy for the little patients and innovative competence compared to other federal states (Saxony-Anhalt), parents are also well integrated into the treatment processes. The child's everyday concerns are listened to and the treatment system is adapted accordingly.

I arrived at the hospital with a one-year-old child with a temperature of 40. The waiting time was 2.5 hours. There is no separate queue for children. The doctor said that in her opinion the child “doesn’t look sick,” although during the appointment the temperature rose to 40 and until I demanded to give ibuprofen no one was going to do it. I insisted on doing a blood test, but the doctor said that this was only possible if we stayed overnight. Nobody carried out any diagnostics. No treatment was prescribed. I did not want to stay there overnight because it did not guarantee treatment for my child. It just means more money for treatment. I do not recommend this hospital. Doctors do not look for the cause of the disease, although one test is enough to find it and the patient can be sent home after prescribing treatment.

We were in the emergency room. Nobody was there but us. We were asked to sit briefly in the waiting room. No doctor came in 1.5 hours and we were practically not taken care of. 2-3 sat in reception throughout and talked

Today I was in the emergency room again with my little baby. Luckily it wasn't anything serious, but the nurses, Ms. Glatz and a young doctor looked at it immediately. Very special thanks to Ms. Glatz for reassuring me because I was very worried. Everything turned out well. Thanks again to this great team. 8 months ago: We were in the emergency room yesterday. Compared to other emergency rooms I know in Berlin, this is a real ray of hope for our healthcare system. Sister Steffi took us in immediately and calmed me down. A great team stood behind her. Steffen BrĂŒggemann was the supervising doctor and his calm demeanor and expertise are truly extraordinary. He took his time. Sister Steffi also has a lot of knowledge. The two worked very well and professionally together. If the entire team is like the people who were there at the time, I have a clear recommendation. That was really great.

We were in the emergency room several times with my 3 1/2 year old daughter. Had to stay stationary in between. We always went to Dr. BrĂŒggemann. What a doctor... Wow đŸ€© He was so patient with us (I was so scared) I was probably there too much onceđŸ„± but he still explained everything to me, was patient and always encouraged us. Thank you so much that there are people like you 🙏🙏 the doctors on the ward, the nurses and the entire staff were super nice and friendly! Thank you for everything đŸ„°

(Translated by Google) The doctors and nurses were very nice and competent in my opinion. We tried very hard and explained everything. But unfortunately the cleanliness that I experienced in the hospital is really below all dignity. You get sick with the poor hygiene in the toilets and in the bathroom. I had to complain about the bed that I had received right from the start because all the hair from the previous guest was everywhere in the bed and there was also a lot of hair. That's not possible now. I've never seen anything like this in a hospital. Not even when I worked as a nurse in the hospital myself. If you are supposed to get a clean bed, then I also expect it to be clean. And not the wait of the predecessor are in there. Got it the nurse paintings, who immediately took care of it. And apologize for what happened. And told me that it shouldn't have happened. And then immediately get a new bed, which was then really clean. Otherwise the treatment and explanation of the treatment from me was very competent and understandable. The nurses and doctors tried very hard and were also very nice. Whenever something was, it was done as quickly as possible. Wouldn't go to the hospital again because of the very poor hygiene. Only when the hygiene is okay again. As the hygiene is now, I wouldn't go there again. The doctors and nurses did the best work for me. But what good is the best work if the hygiene is poor. And that even with the Corona crisis, where you really have to pay attention to hygiene. And because of that, I still get sick, because of poor hygiene. No disinfectant in the room and the soap dispensers were teaching too. And it was also not felt. The staff would have to make sure that the disinfectant dispenser and the soap dispenser are always full.

My mother was barely able to walk and when she was discharged, they were once unable to get her a wheelchair. I took her to the parking lot on a rollable toilet chair. Inhumane. They did not inform us about their condition either. In the other hospital, however, they spoke to us honestly and explained that my mother only had weeks. It was then only days. Helios Behring Hospital is an absolute disaster and the nurses are gross. 3 years after my mother's death, I still cannot understand how a dying woman and her family can be treated this way. When I read some of the bad reviews here, it must also be due to the patients in question. I've been there sporadically as a patient for decades, including in the emergency service (that's just how boys are😊). In the last 3 years unfortunately with serious, life-threatening situations. The doctors are super competent, the staff (all of them) are always friendly and nice. I'm certainly not easy, but I also recognize the achievements of others and behave accordingly. Yes, the hospital is partly getting old, but as long as the cleanliness and hygiene are good, that should be enough for me. I admit, the food and the “coffee” aren’t necessarily 5*, but it’s not a hotel either, so I just eat less or have something brought with me 😌. In any case, no one has been poisoned there yet. There's one thing that really bothers me there, but it's not the staff, but rather the management: the Wi-Fi connection within the building is so bad that the connection to various surveillance systems is only possible from selected rooms and certainly not to the service department . This is really bad and the hospital management should read this; I have someone competent who can change it professionally. Actually, that would be worth deducting, but for me, serving people is more important. Conclusion: The Behring is my first choice next time (hopefully not).

On February 1st, 2024, Dr. Sterzing caused a lot of damage in our lives: my mother had her hemorrhoids surgically removed from him. But during the operation, the doctor went very hard into the rectum with the circular stapler, causing a hole in the posterior septum, and that was because the operation was a day before his vacation and he was completely in vacation mode, so he lost his concentration during the operation has neglected. When my mother appeared for the examination, she always complained about severe pain and symptoms, but no doctor took this into account and always emphasized that everything was fine. When my mother came to his practice for the second time and once again specifically complained about her pain, the doctors realized that a mistake had been made during the operation. Due to the hole in the posterior septum, the feces ended up in the vagina instead of the rectum, causing it to become inflamed. So my mother was sent to another hospital and had to have two operations and now she has a stoma bag. This situation has affected her health and mental health so much that she now suffers from depression and her life is completely restricted. It was very scary and our family too. All of this could have been avoided if Dr. Vipiteno would have been a bit concentrated in the operation. At the moment we don't know what will happen next with the treatment. We stand in the middle of uncertainty and just hope for the best.

Here even one star is too many. Daughter had an appointment for hand surgery at 11:05 a.m.......they have an acute shortage of doctors. You are registered at a job... and then you are the only one waiting for 20 minutes, then you are sent to the next station, where you wait for hours again despite an appointment... despite an appointment. I'm super disappointed. I certainly understand cases of illness and the resulting times, but if you have an appointment, please give me brief information in advance by calling and possibly rescheduling your appointment.

Worst hospital in Berlin. All the doctors are totally unfriendly and say that you shouldn't go to the emergency room at night. Why is there an emergency room? They act as if they are being tortured to do their job. Why do you become a doctor if you don't want to help people? I would rather drive 3 hours to another city than send my parents or myself back here. Absolute disgrace.

tl;dr: I *strongly* don't recommend to visit the hospital if you're an international patient with limited German proficiency. Look into CharitĂš perhaps, you may find a better experience there. I recently visited the hospital under my pneumologist recommendation for a bronchoprovocation test. I managed to get through the main Anmeldung lady - which was visibly tired - with my broken German. I get to the relevant department. Here the nurses at the Anmeldung were much nicer, spoke English and explained the procedure briefly. Then I was escorted to the place where the test would take place (Lungenfunktion AE.122A) and meet with the lab technician (which I won't name in this public review, but if any hospital representative reaches out I can gladly provide names and all). Starting the procedure, I explained that my German was not great. She spoke slowly and helped me understand with hand signs. However, during the test she repeatedly screamed at me, and made fun both of my job and my lifestyle, while screaming and mimicking. All I was doing is following her directions to the best of my understanding. Now, the language barrier is primarily my fault, no doubts. But: 1. This is no way to treat a paying patient, no matter the frustration, 2. We are in 2023 and language barriers can be overcome by using translation apps (which the lab technician refused to use when I tried), 3. The hospital has **an International Patients** page! Absolutely terrible experience, I hope the hospital would take the feedback of international patients seriously. However, judging by the Google reviews answers (only German reviews receive an answer), I seriously doubt it. Don't do like me: I read the reviews before booking an appointment and thought "it won't be that bad". It was worse than I imagined.

Our 5 week old daughter had a fever of 38.7. We called the hospital there and were connected to a doctor. She said we didn't need to come, it wasn't a fever and our baby should take paracetamol and ibu alternately every 4 hours. We drove to another hospital after we called there too. And now I've been hospitalized in an ISO room for 5 days! Our baby has meningitis! I'll never go to this hospital again!

Many thanks to the nurses in the children's ward and the attending doctors. They were all very friendly and approachable and made a big effort. There's nothing to complain about. But the house is old, everything seems worn and a lot of things seem to be broken. It's also dirty. Café Teria is closed on weekends, the drinks machine is also broken. But there are no more gangs of thieves in the children's ward, as there were during our first stay 12 years ago.

A poorly organized hospital for this size, even the post office is saved here. The delivery people have to go through the entire building with a hand truck to the hospital rooms. 👎
