Some of the best food we had in Berlin. The red curry with seitan was great!

I ended up here by chance as an almost “everything eater”. I'm not allowed to eat tofu etc. due to my health and was probably set on chicken... I searched in vain and then found something with seitan that I was still unfamiliar with... the food was delicious. My reason for only 3 stars is the fact that in 2023 💰 we will have “cash only” as a payment option. I rarely take THIS with me! So…probably 1 guest less

Great place for food. I’m always eat the curry (traditional family recipe). Better to call them before you come to eat, it’s always full. Update june22: I don’t know what has happen during the last couple of years, but maybe they changed the chef or the recipe. The traditional curry from an old family recipe, it’s not the same anymore, that’s like, I can’t even tell…this time I went for the kimchi bowl, which’s quite good.

So far it's really the best vegan Asian shop I've visited. Without exception, all three dishes were fresh and of very good quality. The soup is hot and the broth is PERFECT. Intense in taste, zero oily and perfectly seasoned. Quantity also good. Table reservation is not possible, just show up and hope to get a seat. Service was ok. A dessert was forgotten and we didn't comment on it because it was no longer relevant. Matcha ice cream was delicious, creamy and tasted very good. Come again

Cosy location with friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Amazing food (I had No 34, Schmortopf), tasty all the way through, each ingredient has it’s place and is combined perfectly. Very reasonable pricing, could be the every-day place to go.

not sure why everyone is so excited about this place. i got the steamed dumplings and the curry. Dumplings were ok, but the curry was so salty and really lacked flavor. there is no umami (maybe because they don’t use fish sauce) so they are compensating by using too much salt? not sure. probably wouldn’t eat here again.

The food was very tasty! (Dish 29, see picture) Depending on the dish, a good portion too. The dishes are either vegetarian or vegan! Sitting outside is also very nice and quiet, unless you sit directly against the wall. Unfortunately the tables are very crooked.

Excellent food and service. I wish they served alcoholic beverages. The dumplings and fresh spring rolls were amazing! I had the coconut curry soup and am so glad I did! My husband had tofu curry and loved it. We ate inside since the wait for an outside table was too long on this warm, rain-free, summer evening. The prices were very reasonable--about 6-7 euros. I highly recommend this vegetarian / vegan restaurant.

We are all meat eaters and ended up at Chay Village vegetarian restaurant by chance. We were skeptical at first - but we really enjoyed it. The curry with seitan tasted really good. The service is also courteous and nice.

We often get our home office lunch here, but have also been there a few times. The restaurant itself isn't particularly cozy, but the food is really good. And above all, completely vegetarian. The prices are also really very fair. We pay around 20 euros for two meals and the portions are really generous.

Food: 1/5 I ordered crispy spring rolls and Rec curry. The spring rolls were too fried and oily. The red curry seemed to lack sweet and chili flavours and wasn’t as flavorful as Vietnamese curries are usually are. Ambiance: 4/5 Nice casual and cosy atmosphere. Service: 5/5 Very polite and courteous servers. Value: 3/5 Not too expensive but the food is not at par with good Vietnamese cuisines.

first time visiting was in 2018, and would say that the quality has been consistently high. tried the goi cuon as entrée, the mien thap cam and the chai village bibimbap. super fresh ingredients, would only say that the bibimbap was a bit too sweet for my palate. the highlight was the rice at the bottom of the hot pot that got a bit clustered together making a sort of rice cake and mixing perfectly with the sauces being absorbed from above. that said I still would say that I don't know if bibimbap is a thing in Vietnam but I prefer the original Korean one with chilly sauce. Drinks are a bit expensive

Yum yum and some more yum! Come here for absolutely a divine and humble culinary experience. The service is exceptional with lots of smiling faces. The food is yet another level and vegan as promised, presentation is on point too. A plate and tummy full of goodness. Definitely returning.

The food is very tasty and can only be recommended. I'm not vegan and just ordered spring rolls to go as a snack. Loyal customer since then. Keep it up 👏🏼

Starting with the starter, the service and the ambience, this is THE place to go for a vegan/vegetarian meal. The selection is pleasant and refreshing, the portions are not too small and absolutely reasonable in terms of price/performance. Definitely recommended!!

Still one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the city with reasonable portion sizes. Maybe it was an exception or depended on the cook that day, but the pho seemed to be missing a lot of the delicious seasonings that I've grown accustomed to enjoying here like star anise and a lot of coriander, and if this is the new normal then I can't give full stars for making the food more bland and flavourless

We loved our first visit so much (day if arrival in Berlin) that we returned for our last meal before departure. Very efficient and friendly service, beautifully seasoned meals, good portion size. The place is always humming so it is necessary to book a table (inside) to secure a spot. No reservations possible for outside (?). My 87 year old aunt - interested in trying everything! - enjoyed her meals thoroughly, too. You might just need to be aware, that outside are long beer tables with benches only and inside can be a bit loud due to the kitchen and bar noise, but we did not mind to put our heads together inside and just added a coat when sitting outside. Will be back for sure on our next Berlin visit.

If the thing we called, Food was actually also called medicine. This would be the best pharmacy in town. Not just for the quality, the safety, the care and the love, the ingredients were selected and created with, but the feeling of goodness that your body feels after consuming a meal like this is basically unparalleled. Everybody in the postmodern world can give fads about this died and that diet, but this place has been doing things most OG since forever. Most recommended.

Vietnamese food at best, especially for vegetarians and vegans! 😋 I have ordered multiple times from this place, tried pho, spring rolls, dumplings & milk based curry (29). I have no complaints so far.

Delicious food, cute outdoor seating where you might be accompanied by little sparrows. The noodles are plain but served with sauces. If you like your noodles cooked in sauce itself then take the fried noodles option. Friendly staff.

Crepe is huge! Not a snack size as I thought. Staff is nice and friendly, quick service, speaks English. Many options on menu and low prices.

Very average experience, not bad not good either. The price acceptable and the personnel kind. Waiting times were kept short and the main area outside.

Great food, fast service. Worth making a reservation, but if you wait 20 minutes you'll probably get a table. Went there twice.

Very good vegetarian Bim bap ( I am a big fan of the original Korean version but I was not disappointed ). Tasty Jasmin tea but a little too expensive. All menu drinks too expensive however the food was really good. The toilet should be clean up more often.

Delicious food and nice staff! We asked the waiter what they would recommend, and we were suggested to take the Vietnamese Bibimbap and the Curry. Both dishes were super tasty! :)
