Even the front of the place was completely empty. They didn’t want us to sit there as a group. It looks like they don’t want customers to be happy. Employees are not helping at all. They are just saying no to everything which can cause extra work

Hier bin ich Mensch hier darf ich sein. Das stimmt. Urgemütlich trotz der Größe. Hier trifft sich jung und alt. Der Wirt weiß gut mit seinen Gästen umzugehen. Es hat Spaß gemacht. Der Glühwein war sehr lecker. Gerne wieder

Ich fange mal mit dem Ambiente an. Ich persönlich finde der alte Biersalon hat Charakter, es sieht aus als wäre die Zeit hier stehen geblieben. Der Service war super man hat sich hervorragend um uns gekümmert. Das Essen war auch gut ich hatte die Currywurst da gabe es nichts zu meckern. Alles im allem hatten wir einen schönen Abend dort, gerne wieder. Ich durfte noch ein paar Fotos vom Bierkeller machen wo 4000 Liter Kindl Bier lagern, der Hammer.

As we were walking and exploring the area we stumbled across a quintessential Berlin Pub. The weather was absolutely Awesome. We ordered some finger food, burgers and some beer. Service was nice and we enjoyed our meal sitting outside and doing people watching. Price wise the menu is okay. This pub is quite famous based on its history.

This was a nice restaurant, near a Christmas ornament shop, that we stopped at for lunch after we went shopping for the Christmas ornament. They had traditional German food as well as some American comfort foods. They also had several beers on tap. The staff was friendly and several of them spoke English as well as German. If you are in the area, this is a good choice

Eine gute Adresse um sich gemütlich etwas zu trinken und in bester Lage am Kurfürstendamm zu sitzen, hier ist immer was los. Getränke kommen schnell und freundlich, das Essen ist eher Mittelklasse, aber OK. An den Toiletten sieht man aber deutlich ,dass es eher eine Bierkneipe ist , als ein Restaurant, Es steht ja auch vorne dran. Kommen immer gerne wieder , Sommer wie Winter.

Great place to people watch outdoor. Beer is good and reasonably priced for the location. Smoked pork was good too although had to ask twice before it came. Waitress was rude when handing the bill, she literally threw the bill on the table

I never thought I would ever enter such a German place, yet I did and had so much fun. It was really good energies. The live band was amazingly good. Prices are ok. Service was friendly. The other guests were having fun dancing and singing. The ladies rest rooms are down stairs, not amazingly clean, find it weird for guests to still have to pay for using the rest rooms. A classic beersaloon in the middle of Berlin. It has a oldfashioned look, since its a very old institution in Berlin. My mother grew up in the neigbourhood in the 60s and it was already old back then. It could have stayed as a cultural institution but instead it has now turned into somekind of mix between a sportsbar and a touristtrap. They used to have a great menu with different varieties and now its just a pamflict with about 20 dishes. The food is ok, but you could expect more and especially more quality since the price isnt that cheap. The varieties of beer lack some classic german brands and I dont see the point in serving english beer When the name itselfs states that it is a old berlin beersaloon. This place used to be good, now its just dull. If you want something to eat and dont care about the whole experience, go ahead. If you want something that resembles Berlin, then go to some other place.

Wir haben ein Gourmet Frühstück bestellt. Es war zwar ansich alles Frisch aber kein Gourmet. Vieles war einfach aus dem Supermarkt. Wir haben keine Sternekoch erwartet. Doch wollten wir mal ein altes uriges Berliner Restaurant gehen. Zum Biertrinken oder zum Fußball sehen ist es hier bestimmt anders! Die Einrichtung ist urig und man sieht das hier auch die Zeit stehen geblieben ist. Etwas Farbe würde dem Lokal gut tun. Auch etwas mehr Sauberkeit wäre zu empfehlen. Besonders die Toiletten benötigen dies. Das Personal war nicht in der Lage ein EC-Cash Gerät zu bedienen.

The backhahchen was great, and the schnitzel was also good. There is a lot beers to try. Also they spoke english and the service was friendly.

Average food but with tourist prices. Came out to quickly so it was not cooked fresh. Waitstaff changed so we had no drink refills.

A good casual spot for Berliner cuisine near to zoo. Came here with a colleague as we wanted to find something casual that offered local food. We ordered a couple beers and watched some German football commentary to start. I then ordered the Schweineschnitzel (pork schnitzel) and my colleague ordered the Backhahnchen. Both dishes were good. The schnitzel wasn’t the best I’ve had in Germany, but it was good. Dessert wise, there is an impressive display full of cakes to choose from… Service was really good! Our waitress was friendly and attentive!

Fantastic location on the Ku'damm. Cosy albeit a bit noisy inside or outside on the busy and iconic Kurfürstendamm. Great shopping nearby. It's been at this location for over a hundred years, surviving the war. Excellent selection of snacks for a quick bite or you can enjoy a long dinner or lunch. Quite expensive. Open until late.

Gutes deutsches Restaurant/Bar direkt am Kudamm mit fairen Preisen und schnellem Service. Wir haben unser Essen sehr schnell bekommen und die Qualität war ganz gut. Es hatte für uns keine „hausgemachte“ Qualität dennoch war es total okay. Es ist meiner Meinung eher „Fastfood Qualität“. Für die Lage in Kudamm sind die Preise sehr fair und es ist ganz schön mit Blick zu der Straße. Besonders für größere Gruppen empfehlenswert.

Nice snacks to eat while playing pub quiz

I can't blame the restaurant much... We got there very late and they were on the verge of closing. The place is nice to be in, but if we were earlier in the evening, I'm sure it would have been better.

Not being an alcohol consumer myself, I was pleased to see that I could still find something to eat and drink for myself when spending my time here with some friends. I cannot speak for the taste of the alcoholic beverages, though as I'm told they tasted just fine. I can however speak my mind about the very fine apple strudel and general peaceful atmosphere of this place at night. The waiting times not being too long makes it a reasonable choice for a quick dessert in my opinion.

Selbst als Berliner geht man da gern Eisbein essen in geselliger Runde. Sehr guter Service, faires Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre wegen dem gemischten Publikum. P.S. auch beim zweiten Mal wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Danke👍🏻

Used as our local in Easter when we were here and couldn’t fault the service. Using again this week on our return. Staff great , sports on the tv, decent food and proper good beer which they take seriously. A great bar with good people.

Busy bar in the heart of Kurfurstensdamm. Plenty of screens showing live football when we visited. Good drink choices. The food menu is traditional German meals, but not a large choice of meal options . We didn't eat here as we were heading elsewhere, but the food we saw served looked good. Quick service at the table, and good Covid-19 protocols at the door.

Must have : Kartoffelnsuppe, Schnitzel, Käsespätzle. Sooooo delicious 🤤😋

Good food and beer choice. There are a lot of TVs. Perfect place for watching football. German style place, which is good, because it's hard to find such places in Berlin.

It looks nice from outside, but when you walk in you realize it's just another sports bar playing soccer on a ton of different TVs...

The "Alt-Berliner Biersalon" restaurant has been a restaurant legend for over 100 years. Here you can find Berlin cuisine, sports broadcasts and live music on a regular basis.

You can feel local Berliner food and beer.

It's a warm and cosy inside, 110years old bar beside one of the U-Bahn stations in Kurfürstendamm Street just at the corner on the way to Kaiser Wilhemn Church in Charlottenburg area. I, however, wanted to people gaze a little before leaving Berlin sat on the outside tables enjoying the weather while drinking German Pale Ale, which I found really flavourful. The waitress there was an astoundingly kind lady who was very fast and was working nonstop from serving to cleaning up to taking orders while maintaining her composure and simplicity at all times. I hope she lives a very happy life as she deserves it. Berliner Kindl is probably largely associated with this salon and it definitely has vibes of a traditional salon, which was one of my wishes to visit. I missed out on the food, which I am keeping reserved for the next visit.

Did a "Hop on Hop off" sightseeing tour of Berlin. This restaurant/beer saloon had ample indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great!

Very basic German pub, potato salad was not the real one we like, späzle with cheese were actually fine.

Great place to sit, relax, enjoy Aperol Spritz and hearty beers with food and friends post-Berlin Marathon! Sat and served right away, several options on the menu for both meat and non-meat eaters, and no rush to get out of there. We enjoy people watching and city atmosphere here quite a bit!

Great place to get pub snacks and local dishes. Big authentic pub atmosphere with plenty of seating and music in background. Loads of drinks on offer as you would expect. Lots of outside seating and a huge area inside.

Nice beer place, specially when the weather is nice, where they put tiny chairs and tables to enjoy a beer outside with some snacks

It can be an enjoyable tourist experience to try a currywurst at a restaurant on the Ku’damm street. Don’t expect too much from it, though.
