This is the SHAME of all 4 stars hotel !!! No air conditioning, just a cheap chinese plastic fan , no room service, no every day house keeping ( not even on request), no toileteries the bathroom, no luggage help , NOTHING !!! I stayed for 5 nights, it was a very hot weather outside and I had to open in the night all room windows for some fresh air. The problem was that under the windows was the garbage bins space and a table where starting 6 o'clock every morning housekeepers disturb clients by making a lot of noise laughing and talking loudly. The room was cleaned just twice in 5 days! I can not understand how this hotel took the 4 stars!!! Everything related to the 4 stars standard is available only in the hotel's directory, on request ! The interesting fact is that at the hotel entrance there are 4 stars displayed but inside, on the door to the rooms, there are only 3 stars ! I only have one conclusion: never again !!!

Simple plain hotel. Some of the rooms are still quite old-fashioned, with 2 single beds and a 2 meter long desk in front of the window. Screwed closet doors 🤔 and a bathtub with poor drainage. The beer machine in the lobby, filled with Radeberger beer, also takes a lot of getting used to. 😅 Otherwise everyone here is very relaxed and friendly 😉

It was clean and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately the whole hotel was left behind somewhere in the last century. This is not only reflected in the interior design, the WiFi in my room also worked poorly or not at all. I really don't know who won't be able to do that in 2024. Unfortunately, it wasn't really possible to distract yourself with TV instead, because it's ridiculously small and stood at least 5 meters away from the bed at the other end of the room. Breakfast is lavish, but unfortunately there is virtually no selection of vegan alternatives, which is limited to oat milk for muesli and margarine for bread.

I have been there for an event every year for 14 years. I don't know what the other rooms are like, but in "my" handicapped-accessible room you can feel like a little king. Room 34 is more than generously sized and well equipped. Consistently geared towards the needs of wheelchair users, professional and friendly reception and the very good kitchen do the rest. In short, I feel very comfortable there!

I enjoyed it. The Price is valuable. Breakfast was perfect. But I wished warmer egg. No toothbrush , no toothpaste, no slippers, no floss, just clean towels, small hair dryer and tissue were included. Shampoo had bad quality. Clean rooms. Fast and enough elevators .✅ safety box at the reception. Staff were perfect but not perfect in English. Good seminar rooms.

Overall we were very happy with our stay. The workers were very kind and everyone spoke English. Which we are grateful for. 🙏 We did not experience any noise from the hotel just city noise outside which is normal in the city, the elevators worked great, the lobby was nice with lots of brochures for the city. We did not try breakfast because it seemed pretty pricey in my opinion. The gym/sauna seemed a bit outdated and smelled a bit funky. Could definitely use a revamp! And the hotel is right next to the subway which someone from the hotel was nice enough to explain the subway route to me and once at the subway it was very easy to navigate once you find the sign on the wall that shows the subway route. Overall our room was nice. We were on the 7th floor and For two people the room was plenty big, the room had a nice bathroom, comfortable beds a little stiff but not too stiff. We were sad it was just 2 twin beds together and not a double bed but, we didn't think it was worth making it a problem. If you've never been to Germany just know, the pillows might not be what you are used to. I bring my own pillow because I know I am picky. That's not on the hotel that's just on me. I gave a 4 star because of a few small things. If there's no AC in the hotel you should at least put screens on the windows we definitely had some bugs fly in with the windows open. There were a few mystery stains on the ceiling that kinda grossed me out but I forgot to mention when checking out that they should maybe clean the ceiling. And lastly it was really nice that they provided a fan you could plug in and use but it was very dusty so we didn't even bother turning it on. The fan needs a dusting. But if I was desperate I'm glad it was there. Overall we enjoyed the hotel just a few minor complaints that are not deal breakers.

If it’s intended as the back to the USSR experience, it needs to be advertised as such. Otherwise I don’t see how it’s more than a 2-star hotel with metal room keys in 2021.

Old-fashioned rooms with carpeted floors, room cleaning only by appointment. But one star less. Service okay, breakfast buffet sufficient, everything there. The service staff are reserved and nice. Average hotel, unfortunately a bit far out of town

Nice hotel atmosphere with a mobile exhibition, this time animal paintings of animals from the zoo, very friendly and committed staff. The location is not perfect, but public transport is within walking distance and you can reach the center, Alexanderplatz, in max. 20 minutes. A parking space is right in front of the door and can be booked for a small fee. We were completely satisfied and will use it again next time we visit Berlin.

good value compared to most in berlin. very kind and helpful staff, even if some struggle a bit with english. very close to tram, but then you must change to train to get to central city. a short walk to the subway, which takes you to the central city but takes a while. peaceful environment at night. the business class double room (think it was called this) was very spacious with lots of storage, even a suitcase bench! separate good size beds, two chairs, lots of tabletop area, tv with loads of channels (although mostly in german, wasn’t able to switch to english). three big windows that you were able to open completely for fresh air, great! very spacious bathroom, but with a strange layout. the shower was rather small and squeezed in behind the toilet, so that it was quite impractical. some improvements (for picky guests like me) would be: - change up interior to ease cleaning, as the room was noticeably dusty and made us sneeze a lot (especially as someone with asthma). for example, roll up curtains instead of double layered thick ones (these were very dusty), hard floor instead of full floor carpets. - move the toilet roll holder so that it’s more easily accessible and not behind you on the toilet, or at least make the holder less bothersome (the lid covers the whole roll and keeps closing). - the handle to the sink faucet in the bathroom was hard to push up and down. - lower the liquid soap holder in the shower. - check the drains as they quickly overflowed.

A nice hotel right next to the zoo in Berlin. The room was nice and spacious and clean, the bathroom was large with a window. All in all very pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful. Saturday, Sunday even from 6 a.m. The only drawback was the lack of a hotel bar as it always guaranteed a bit of conviviality.

I had a good night's sleep here, which is the most important thing for me about a hotel. The service is friendly and good, but the cleaning could use some improvement. The room gave the feeling of travelling back in time for 30 years. It is functional, but could very much use an update. The bathroom was okay and the room was quiet. The WiFi connection was extremely poor, but I assume that I was just unfortunate with the location of my room. The lobby is big and quite beautiful and you can see that these public parts of the hotel are well maintained. My room however, was dusty and the cleaning should be a bit more thorough. The hotel is situated well, close to a subway station, bus stop, shopping mall and the beautiful Tierpark (Zoo). Alexanderplatz is about 20 minutes away by walk plus subway. Lichtenberg train station is 2 subway stations away. Overall, a very decent experience and a good price/quality ratio.

Very nice hotel with cozy and very clean rooms. The breakfast was very plentiful and left nothing to be desired. The staff in all areas were very friendly and helpful. A subway station is very close.

Very large rooms. Everything very clean. Staff very friendly. It would have been nice if there had been not only glasses but also a bottle of water for the guest in the room. Breakfast offering is extensive with a good selection. Unfortunately, there are no clues as to where to find anything. Fresh orange juice, for example, hidden in a corner and not visible. Overall, a nice stay that I would like to repeat.

Very good hotel. All stars from me. Equipment is top with a large desk, TV, armchair, etc. Great breakfast! Again any time.

Large room. Breakfast is relatively expensive, but it is rich. There is good old filter coffee, but also a coffee machine with different coffee variations. The yogurt tastes excellent. Cold cuts, cheese, jams, honey, fish, etc. Nothing was missing. Milk in different varieties, for all tastes..., freshly fried eggs, bacon, fruit, everything is actually very plentiful. Almost all of the staff were friendly despite the stress (trade fair). Yes, there is an exception, but the other employees make up for it. The bar was open and we were happy. You can also eat in restaurants in the surrounding area and within easy walking distance. Parking is not a problem. We have been guests at the hotel several times and would love to come back. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

Really good, unfortunately it was only one night. What really convinced me was the breakfast! It changes from day to day, always a slightly different composition. The basics remain the same. The rooms are also very nice. I'm excited.

1 visitor from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in Berlin at the end of March. Parking space in front of the house. I received a very friendly welcome. The room on the 7th floor was clean and good. The bathroom door creaks, but otherwise clean. The best thing was the breakfast and the coffee from the machine. Buffet with everything you want and something for every taste. Charging station with at least 11kw for electric cars would be desirable, as some are in the parking lot. Public transport accessible on the doorstep.

To be honest, I can't understand the 4 or 5 star reviews. The rooms are really worn out. The facility is stuck in the 2000s. The bathroom smells unpleasant and the WiFi is unusable. The mattresses are so hard that you feel like you're slipping out of bed and the pillows are far too small. Air conditioning is not available. Only the breakfast and the size of the rooms were convincing. A lot has to happen in the hotel for it to really be a 4 star hotel. Luckily it was only booked through the employer and not paid for by myself.

ABACUS Tierpark Hotel... a mid-1970s hotel . All the comforts are there but an upgrade wouldn't hurt. We had a business room - very spacious, lots of storage space and well-maintained. The bathroom does not have a walk-in shower, but stepping into the bathtub to take a shower is manageable. Parking for 6€ is available and cheap for Berlin standards. Beware, though, that by evening the car park fills up quickly. The breakfast room is very cosy and spacious. The bread selection could be a bit more extensive and if there are bus tourists, the breakfast selection could be refreshed more quickly. The hotel is ideally located for visiting Berlin. Via the U5 you can be in Unter Den Linden - the centre of Berlin - in 20 minutes. You can also visit several top attractions via this line. As our son lives barely 2km from this hotel, we will choose this hotel every time we visit him. All comforts are available, there is parking, a good breakfast and friendly staff. Tram lines M17, 37, 27 can be taken right in front of the hotel

Not so attractive from the outside, but really okay from the inside. We were there for the world of lights in the zoo, spent one night in the hotel, and visited the zoo the next day. It's really perfect for that. We got one of the free parking spaces without any problems and only had to cross the street once. Be careful, the price on various portals varies greatly for us. The three of us paid 78 euros for the studio, which was really big. I would recommend not taking the expensive breakfast. It's okay, but you can save a lot of money if you just go to one of the nearby bakeries. If I pay so much money for breakfast, I expect more (e.g. not just filter coffee and more than two types of jam). The pillows are extremely soft and thin, so I would take my own next time. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep well because of that. But it was really just on the pillow. You can book the hotel without hesitation for the price, even for longer periods and also for other visits to Berlin, as the subway is practically right in front of the door.

A great hotel in a very good location. Easily accessible by car but also by public transport. Inconspicuous from the outside, a real pearl from the inside. My favorite hotel for trips to the capital. Very large, spacious rooms, a bathroom in mint condition, very large and equipped with everything you need. Price for the extensive breakfast is reasonable. Great value for money!

Very nice hotel very nice rooms very clean very friendly service only the food and the restaurant in general is not good at all the waiter says they don't have any tables for dinner even though several tables are free when we said that there are still enough tables available he brought us reluctantly then to a table.... Food from the buffet was already cold and didn't taste good at all. The selection at breakfast also leaves a lot to be desired

For my daughter's birthday, we decided to do something special. A night at the hotel, followed by a pleasant day at the Tierpark. I'm glad my daughter loved the hotel, especially as she'll easily find any hotel good in the future. The building dates back to the DDR, and the curtains in the room apparently haven't been washed since the fall of the wall (horrible smell). The hairdryer had the on/off button sunk in (it was difficult to use). Few of the showers in the Wellness area worked (but the 20 euro charge worked perfectly well). The coffee machine in the lobby didn't work; Right at check-in, the friendly receptionist apologized for the restaurant serving pizza and curry Wurst for dinner. "No problem," I thought. Although I was expecting a restaurant and not a snack bar. The restaurant was an experience not to be repeated: - I ordered a quattro formaggi pizza, got a Margherita; - I asked for a large Radeberger beer, I got something that tasted like Sprite; - my wife asked for tea and a salami pizza; - the bill: 2x quattro formaggi, 1x elster and 1x tea. Not to be unfair, my daughter's Currywurst with Pommes looked good. But to get the "child vs. pommes" ratio wrong would be too much. Breakfast was plentiful, the bread was very tasty, but apart from that, nothing special. The coffee tasted like tea. The tea tasted like a sauna. The fruit juice seemed to have been made from the previous day's fruit salad. I'd like to add that the lack of extra items such as toothpaste, slippers, water and a bathrobe doesn't really help the welcome experience. The positive point is the staff. All extremely friendly and hard-working. Verdict ( ) I recommend it to everyone and will return as soon as I can; ( ) It's good, but it could be better; ( ) Only look for this hotel if you have no other option; ( X ) It would have been better to sleep at Tierpark. I bet the food for the animals would have been better.

OK location with a 30minute train into the heart of Berlin. We stayed for 3 nights and our sheets/room was not changed once and we had to ask for toilet paper and fresh towels everyday, which was pretty disappointing.

Like the free parking, close access to the metro but it is a bit far out of the city centre so may not suit all. This hotel is good but needs a safe in the room, there is no air conditioning which would have been very helpful on one of the hottest days of the year but a fan did help. Breakfast buffet is well managed but could do with a few more options for hot food, but does have a good selection of cereals, cold cuts, fruits and juices.

Ageing beauty. Comfortable hotel at its construction, it's slowly but surely wearing out. Nice big bathroom, nice rooms and cool simple spa. The surroundings are as cold as part of the reception personnel. Could do so much better with some dedication and passion. Good breakfast, nice bar.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! Large hotel with plenty of amenities and very clean! Very diverse breakfast buffet and super staff!

Built during GDR era, still holds some remnants. However, service is great, rooms are clean & spacious, wifi code is good for 7 days, internet is fast and works everywhere in the building. Restaurant is just amazing, area is safe and subway is nearby. No AC or ventilation, use traditional key. Pricing favorable.

My 2nd stay over the weekend. And again there is nothing, absolutely nothing, to complain about. A nice, well-kept hotel where you don't miss anything. Very nice service staff and great food. Clear recommendation from me. Carry on like this and change nothing.
