I stayed in this hotel for a few days and had one of my worst experience. Here are five reasons why: 1) The hotel had bed bugs. I was severely bitten and complained about it with the front desk. I showed the bite marks, pictures and a video. All they could say was sorry. 2) They don't provide free Internet. You have to pay for it. 3) The manager was extremely rude when I tried to get up to my room the following day after having checked in. He refused to believe that I stayed there despite showing my night key and room card. 4) The room was in poor condition. It had very old and dusty furniture, broken lights, and dirty curtains. 5) There is no hotel staff available after 11 PM. You have to enter through a side door with a separate key that is given to you upon check-in. In case you have problems, good luck figuring it out. Do not stay here!

Well, this hotel was comfortable and quiet, what I appreciate so much. The suite won't impress you, although it's clean and good-looking. The hotel is situated in B-zone, you can get there by S3 city train. The whole district is calm and quiet. I would gladly stay here while our next visit to Berlin

First stay was fine besides a squeaking bed. Second stay was horrendous. Room was not very inviting, with little things all over the room that definitely needed fixing a long time ago. Just a very old and uncomfortable vibe we got there. The bathroom was the worst! Chalk all over the shower head. When we first turned the shower on, the water came out brown. Everything felt rough and rusty and we just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. The area is a calm one compared to the city center and you have good access to public transportation. Wouldn’t stay there again.

PLEASE READ THIS! Advertised on Expedia as the Hotel Karlshorst, Treskowallee 89. I read all the reviews before staying here. Many of the reviews were negative due to guests not being able to access the hotel and their rooms late at night. This wasn't good for me, as I wanted to experience some of the nightlife in Berlin. I checked, rechecked and double confirmed at reception that I would definitely be able to access the hotel using the late night key. The Asian lady at the counter ensured me that the late night key would allow me to be able to access the hotel 24 hours a day using the entrance to the right of the main entrance. So what happened? The first night I was able to enter at 1am. The second night I turned up at 3am. They'd changed the lock to the door! I was stranded outside. I had to go and sleep on a bench in the park. Later that morning when I came back to the hotel, some other guest had smashed the glass to gain access. It's absolutely disgusting behaviour by the hotel, who could have simply notified guests about the change of lock on the door and issued a new key and an old key to each of the guests.. Not only that, but the rooms are not secure... You can access them whether they are locked or unlocked, as the door frames are rotten.

Vergebe ehrlich 5 Sterne . Wir hatten für 2 Nächte die Suite Nr . 219. Wir und die Kids waren positiv überrascht. Einfach gehalten zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Langt aber dicke. Personal ist freundlich. Kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Gute Anbindung an den ÖPNV .

Nice price, good location nearby S-Bahn. Just 20 minutes to the city center.

Arrived at reception to find the staff quite inexperienced and struggling. Was given a double room even though I had requested a twin room. Was given a twin with only a little struggling. The stairs carpet was a death trap that was ripped and held together with other pieces of carpet. The room was basic but to be expected for the price. Ideal situation for getting the train into central berlin. If the hotel was refurbished I would not hesitate to return but in its current condition I would not visit again.

Was erwartet man da?

Not a bad place. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Theres sound pollution tho because of the trams but it was no big deal to me. Theres a few bakeries around which is great, and best of all theres an S bahn train station right next to the hotel

I liked this hotel very much. The room was very large and warm and the staff pleasant. I wish we had booked it for the whole stay not only the first night. It's a 4 minute walk from the S-bahn station which is a very good line that takes you to the city centre without transferring. It was near the Tierpark zoo which we visited due to the proximity.

TOURISTEN FALLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome place with nice, recently renovated and very clean rooms. Excellent staff, every interaction was pleasant. The hotel is located 6 minutes from the Karlshorst station in a really cute neighbourhood.

The hotel is close to the public transport which brings you everywhere in no time and that's the only positive. - The beds are the worst beds I have even slept in. Why? I can feel every metal spring in them. - The room stinks after cigarettes. - The interior is old and partly broken. - Inexperienced staff - No shampoo in the shower.

Dirty carpet with dust and grit, dark (there was a lamp with a broken plug so that the 2 brass pins were all that there was to plug in. Nice for people who want to electrocute themselves), completely dark corridors as the sensors don't work, no water pressure so no shower, no tea or coffee facilities and no breakfast. Pay 12 euros for wi-fi that doesn't work. Also, only one device can be connected, which isn't a problem as the wi-fi doesn't work.Things, including money, went missing from the room while we were away during the day. Management denied that this was possible, even though I had taken before and after photos of the money on the bedside table. The restaurant which is separately owned and managed is ok. The hotel is a dump.

This hotel was the worst: -The door did not close without putting you shoulder onto it -the bed was to small to two persons and very uncomfortable - there was a weird smell on all ares of hotel, in the room, in the lobby everywhere I would avoid this hotel The only good thing was the nearby public transport that would get you in berlin city center easily

One of the receptionists was quite stressed and probably because of that he was rude at some point. The room was prepared well with some towel designs but toilet wasn't clean. People working here with whom I tried to communicate don't speak English. Although the hotel looks authentic, I wouldn't stay here again given that there are so many other options around.

Plusses: district is very quiet, good restaurants and stores around, good size of a room. Minuses: far away from the city center (30 min), broken door in the shower, as a result the whole floor was wet every day, no changing towels during 3 days of stay, paid internet in 2019-come on?! 30 min before check out they knocked to our door and asked if we are going to pay for an extra night as we are still in the room.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels, but this is hands down the worst. We got back to our room around 11pm, our room key-card didn't work so we were locked out of out room and there was no hotel staff to help. We managed to catch the bar staff just as they were leaving who managed to get someone to come and let us in. After a 30 minute wait in the 1st floor lobby someone finally turned up and got our key working. This chap then said room keys need to be activated everyday. Well this is the first time I have ever heard of anything like that and no-one at the hotel told us that when we checked in. When you add to this the fact that the room was stinking of cigarettes I would avoid and stay elsewhere, like the street. That would be more comfortable 😡

Nice hotel, not far away from S-Bahn station, from which you can easily get to the center of Berlin. The street is a little bit loud, but not much. The room I stayed in was clean. So overall i can recommend this hotel.

So weit so gut.
