This place was the worse decision & experience of my life, I am sorry for all the great medical professionals who’s reputation has to suffer over the malpractice of others, I will speak only about the “mother & delivery” floor, I had registered in advance to give birth here, it didn’t matter because when I arrived in agonizing pain they simply told me they did not had room for me, period, I was crying & I couldn’t even walk, they wouldn’t allow in my husband who’s German & my translator because of covid regulations, I was then examined by a very tall woman with short dark hair who was apparently a “nurse”, the she proceeded to give me a speech about how I need to learn German because I am in Deutschland, right in the middle of my contractions. A Dr. never came to see me, only 2 medical students who looked very young & inexperienced, one of them told me to go home because there was nothing they could do at the moment. Their ambulance wasn’t available ether of course. My husband had to carry me & drive me to another hospital in the middle of hard labour contractions. As an American & as a professional Registered Nurse myself, I am so disgusted at this place, this traumatic experience & the people I came across with, it’s an embarrassment to the medical field & patient care.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, I have to join in with 'Hella Wahnsinn', as a former nursing staff I am appalled by the way the young, inexperienced medical staff treat patients here. At that time we were also under stress and still had to act for the benefit of the patient! Today, however, this no longer seems to be essential; monetary interests are the main focus here.

HORRIBLE Emergency experience!!!! If you have pain be prepared to wait for hours together in a waiting room where you DO NOT have access to any doctor or nurse. I want to ask Hospital Management how can they design an ER with all glasses around and creating absolute barriers between a patient and doctor/nurse? Do they have common sense why patients would come to EMERGENCY??? Pity on this hospital's ER care! NURSES are DAMN RUDE!!! Poor patients had to wait for no reason at all. Doctors and nurses are heard chatting behind closed doors and do not respond timely. You have to be really lucky to have been heard after at least 4 hours. Poorest poorest Emergency service never seen before not even in under developed countries! 🤬🤬🤬 If you like to die or eat pain, please do visit them.

I had an appointment at 10:30 and was made to wait for 4 hours without notification. Just as with other German institutions you will find some people that do not treat foreigners well and do not respect their time. The quality of the doctors, the facilities, and after operation care was world class. However, we all paying patients and we should be treated equally and fairly. Thoroughly disappointed.

I think the emergency ward in this hospital means( a big joke) patience has to wait for extended hourssssss, and nurses have no clue when the doctor is arriving, and I feel the doctors or the management doesn’t care about people Who come here To get treated. I wish I could have read the review before taking the opinion from my doctors. If you have a critical illness, please avoid going to this place, as your anxiety level may go high because of the behaviour of the hospital staff.

(Translated by Google) Nursing staff very good! But unfortunately they don't make the announcements. Resident physician with ZERO (professional and social) competence made a diagnosis that was (and still is) completely absurd. A senior doctor who was never present did not question anything. Never again Charité! edit: Location: Campus Benjamin Franklin (CBF) - Lichterfelde (Original) Pflegepersonal sehr gut! (Translated by Google) This summer I consciously wanted the Charité (Luisenstrasse location) as the delivery site and, in my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend the clinic to others. My labor started on the morning of the day before delivery. Since I kept having practice contractions, I wasn't alarmed yet. However, when the mucus plug loosened in the course of the day and I went into stronger contractions from 8 p.m., I started to prepare myself. Around half past one in the night the contractions were so strong (intervals approx. 6.5 minutes) that I called the clinic to let them know that we were coming. They told me I should only come when they are at 5 minutes, otherwise they might have to send me home again. When we are at 5.5 minutes we are off and I was always able to breathe the contractions easily while standing. At about half past two I was checked and my cervix was 4 cm open. After I was briefly examined I had to go back to the waiting room. And there I was. Unfortunately for hours. I was unable to sit down due to the labor and was on my feet for hours. When I couldn't stand and walk after about 3.5-4 hours / wanted to be exhausted, I called a nurse who initially asked me unfriendly why I should ring the bell in the waiting room at all. I replied that I just want to lie down somewhere, I don't really care where. I was allowed to lie down on the couch for the ctg's. After a while I had to get out again because the space was needed and my husband was gone. He had to sit outside again, why weren't we told. The doctor came up to me and asked me if it was okay to be transferred to the Virchow Clinic, if that was okay, since there were no more delivery rooms available. - Overtired and overwhelmed, I agreed - it was now half past eight in the morning when a midwife came to me, pinched my face on the cheeks and said: I'm very sorry, little mouse, that we have to move you. But we are full. We were finally transferred with the ambulance and I had contractions every 2 minutes. We arrived, had to fill out all the formalities again, I was examined again, although she was a doctor quite harsh in tone and handling, should clear me downstairs (I was stunned because the cleaner was still in the room and both were still talking). By then, my cervix had opened to 5 cm. And from there it stopped. My body was so weakened by the exertion that nothing more happened. I just wanted to lie down and rest and they found a vacant bed in the delivery room for me. I found some peace there. Until I was constantly asked whether I would like to take a bath or take a walk etc. etc. The doctor recommended a pda to me on arrival. But I refused. Around 3 p.m. still in labor without the cervix opening any further, I wanted a pda. In the delivery room of the Virchow Klinikum they were very courteous. The midwives and doctors were great and took great care, I didn't even have any doubts about their further course of action. The birth ended in a caesarean section because the baby and I reacted badly to the induction and the amniotic fluid turned green etc. The team during the caesarean section was very courteous and empathetic. It has been 2 months since my daughter was born and I still think about that day / days a lot. Despite the good treatment in the Virchow's delivery room, I will no longer deliver a baby in the Charité. One should urgently coordinate better between the houses. Nobody from the nurses / midwives / doctors seemed to know how long I've actually been fighting. The birth of my first daughter, especially for the team at the Luisenstrasse Clinic, unfortunately turned out to be a very unpleasant experience.

I will not write anything about the quality of services of those places that are located on the territory of this complex. My review is about the general impression of architecture, appearance and emotions that all this things caused in me. Charite is a clinical complex located in four districts of Berlin, and I was at one that is near the railway station by the river Spree: A very large fenced area on the territory of which there are many old buildings of different orientations. These are just hospitals, and buildings of individual medical specialties with laboratories, and administrative building, and, as I understand, there is a university is here too. All buildings are with beautiful old architecture. Sometimes quiet quickie work was encountered, such as the ugly painting of some walls, after which the color difference looked ridiculous. But overall, the complex left a very pleasant aesthetic impression.

Thank you so much to the orthopedics team and everyone at station M120. They gave me a new ACL after I tore it, the operation went perfectly, and the care I received after was outstanding. I prepared for the worst, but the friendliness and professionality of the staff made everything so, so much better.

(Translated by Google) Nobody forces the med. Personnel to take up the profession of doctor. Keep your eyes open when choosing a career! As a relative of a seriously ill patient, I was treated as underground as the patient herself. Empathy and competence towards the patient was zero. (I worked in the health sector myself for years and know the processes). What does Charité actually stand for again? It can't be this: Charité - French for charity, mercy, Caritas ... My relatives and I will no longer enter this house anyway. Fortunately, we know where we can go in an EMERGENCY to receive professional treatment.

Not quite sure what to think of them. My mum is there now with promises of an operation and didn't get anything to eat for two days, just painkillers. And in the evening she just got told: sorry, not today. And they just put her up anywhere and forgot about her. And now the weekend is upon them. Edit: There seem to be several places named "Charite" in Berlin. No idea where my mum was. Above happened for two long weeks. Then the operation, short and excellent. Then good food. And aftercare in a separate hospital for two weeks. And rehab and daily physio therapy in a third place for three weeks (no automatism, need to ask for everything, and need to know your choices, but it's all paid for by state insurance).

Versprochen!

(Translated by Google) The children's surgery / urology at Virchow is the biggest rubbish! 60 years ago, the Charité once shone as a hospital, but now? Absolutely unreasonable, waiting 7 hours for the operation with a small baby at 10 o'clock it was time to go to the operating room, well, it didn't happen, then at 5 o'clock she was supposed to be operated on, then it was said it was too late now. My little one was hungry and wasn't allowed to have milk. We are very disappointed, the clinic was recommended but unfortunately it was not as good as expected.

you'd be doing them a favor by choosing a different hospital. they're overrun and they seem uninterested to do anything about it. they also won't give you any real or precise appointments because according to them "it's not possible", so it's completely normal to wait for hours for your turn. if you're ok with that, pack some snacks and drinks, you'll need those. POV: on my second appointment for a checkup after surgery and currently waiting for 1 hour+ despite having an appointment

This happened several years ago. In the ER, they couldn't figure out that I had an appendicitis. I waited for over 5hr and was send home. They made me feel like I was wasting their time. The person in registration actually told me that my condition is not serious and that I should shut up and wait. Thank god I went to a different hospital where they were able to diagnose and treat my critical condition.

Came there with strong pain from cystitis, fever and high leukocytes. Doctor prescribed me only herbs instead of antibiotics. When I was telling about my pain in the kidney she resisted it telling me that it was a pain in back, not kidney. The tone of speech was nervous and rude. I left crying from pain. My permanent doctor wasn’t in the city. At night I couldn’t endure the pain and started to take antibiotics which I had at home. They helped from pain after a couple of days but as it is expected they didn’t treat me till the end. I was believing several months that it was pain in back as doctor said. Now when I finally checked kidney and got all the analysis it appeared that it was an inflammation of kidney as I was saying. As I didn’t treat it when it was needed I got it more complicated. It is very said that in modern world you can be left without help, have to use self treatment to survive and get diagnosis after several months. It all could be easier for me if I wasn’t ignored at that day.

When my daughter went to the emergency room to see a doctor for help because she fell and hurt her ankle, my daughter was yelled at and told that she was stupid for coming to the hospital at night over such a silly issue. She was in a lot of pain and her ankle was swollen, yet they acted as though she had no reason to seek medical attention. This is incredibly rude and unacceptable. I'm shocked that a hospital emergency room would speak to someone this way.

This is the worst hospital to go. They make you wait for more than 2.5 hrs just for a simple consultation and x ray. Go only when you have all the free time in the world. Dl get enough food with you. Unless they feel one is not dying they do not value your time despite charging 300 euros without any hesitation. The hospital management should display the waiting time instead of torturing the one who needs help. Pathetic experience by someone visiting Berlin.

If you’re looking for the most horrific service in the world in an emergency room, that’s the right place. Zero sensitivity from the staff and a real lack of willingness to help. Try to avoid it as much as you can if possible. I waited 11 hours until a doctor saw me. It’s just a room with no connection to emergency.

If you are an American stay far away from this hospital. I went in there because I need stitches and left without it. There is a list of issues with this hospital so brace yourself. 1. Went through the emergency doors. They refused to let my husband in because he didn't have a covid test. (Like we are supposed go plan that someone would hit me off a bike. Btw. We both have 3 vaccinations but that wasn't enough) 2. The guard refused to speak to me only to my husband. (Excuse me) 3. Went in without my husband 4. Gave the lady my passport and my authorization information and she tells me go sit outside. So I'm like do you know how long it's going to be. (Remember my husband is outside in the rain) she then says no and flings her hands up and continues to put my stuff in the computer. She once again says go sit outside. I'm still calm and I'm like do you know how long it's going to take. This is where everything went left she then flings her hand in the air. No I don't. Why do you want to know. So I then immediately said oh no I'm not being seen here and walked out. 5. Image one blonde techican made me walk away. Her behavior was outright nasty down to your security guard. I will never recommend anyone to go to your hospital. Your staff's behavior is downright nasty and despicable.

I had fever, pain in my belly so hard, i even can't walk or breath so my doctor gave me the paper to go directly to the hospital. But after 5 hours waiting, most of people left, they only gave me 30ml of pain killer then i still have to suffer the pain and keep waiting. Later update : there are quite a lot of patients inside. But they did all the test quickly.

The worst hospital in Berlin. I went because of one emergency, and to my surprise, I received a letter asking me to pay €180. I don't understand anything. None of the doctors who treated me told me that I should pay. I am working and paying for the TkInsurance. Why should I have paid for this treatment? It is something that had happened to me before and I had been covered in any other medical centre. If you want to get paid, it seems right to me, but LET ME KNOW before, so that I can make the decision to go to another medical centre. Don't send a surprise letter. What a shame. To emphasise, the doctors treated me very, very badly. Do not bother to answer my review because I have already written you emails and you have not answer.

After trying several private doctors that just pushed me from one place to another without giving me answers or solutions, I finally went to the Charité. On January 7, 2023 we were getting ready to head back home to the USA, until my 26 year old son started to feel excoriating pain on his right side. Charite was the closest hospital to us. He was checked in immediately and they did CT scan only to find out that he had Appendicitis and a huge gallstone and needed surgery immediately. We did purchase tourist medical ins. So I advise you purchase before going to the hospital. Overall they saved his life and I am so grateful for that. Although, the older German women who transported the patients and the mean lady from the store in the hospital seemed very prejudice and RUDE. The Doctors were great and the nurses.

Horrible hospital, do not go there unless you are literally dying. The nurses and front desk are rude and if you have someone in the ER that need their personal belongings they WILL IGNORE YOU, not be kind when you’re crying and on top of that YELL at you. No wonder this place has such low stars. Never again.

(Translated by Google) The application was great, you go in there, door is made, as it should be! After a short wait I was called to the doctor to make the first picture. After about 1 hour I was already finished. What me This is that I did not get a syringe because of my back pain. Normally, you always get that earlier. They say they do not give that stuff. I thought that was weird, but ok. Tablets and sheets for the family doctor were also available Doctor was nice like everyone else but without touching me and ask only to ask he gave me the findings for the treating doctor ... therefore only 4 star. Wartezeit in Ordnung

(Translated by Google) We can really recommend the Clinic for Obstetrics at the Charité Mitte to everyone. We had a very competent and highly empathetic team from the senior doctor to the midwives to the nurses on the 8th floor (delivery room). Especially in times of the Coronavirus, a great advantage is that family rooms, if available, are still allocated and, in the case of single rooms, the father also has visiting times of several hours a day. This cannot be taken for granted, because some clinics only have one hour a day visiting time for the father. Special thanks to the senior physician Dr. Dröge and the midwife Ms. Müller for the excellent care.

Russians citizens, simple citizens, don't want aggressive deals to Germany. Thanks to Charité for allowing the German police to watch over Alexei. (In the his reabilitation time after poison). Charité was politicians saver for russian always. (And journalists, opposition's people). Alexey's life was on the hair. Because, hard poisonings get to death usually. But, no in Charité's walls. Thanks for your lab.workers, because it seeking poison in Alexey tests and published this results.

The reception staff doesn’t understand that people who go to the emergency room of a hospital are vulnerable and in pain. Nobody wants to be there, nobody CHOOSES to be there. If you don't speak German it gets even worse, they roll their eyes and snort if you don't understand what they speak. The doctor who assisted me was kind and spoke English. On the x-ray, they were also very kind mainly because I couldn't stop crying. I was lucky to be cared for by kind nurses too. I didn't wait that long. The experience in the emergency room could be completely different if the reception staff were better trained and respected the patients more.

why one star ? because I can't put 0 stars, I wasn't attended, is a bunch of clowns in a building what germany calls the best hospital in the continent ? I'm lacking of words, your lack of sympathy for the customer your lack of professionalism for avoiding and giving up take out a nail, your inability for not knowing how to deal with this that is so simple, so basic it's a colossal failure, I can't imagine something more complex in your hands, you are a wasted of all the tax money of the germans and workers like me that work hard for and love this country, I'm more sad for your lack of compromise than bothered for my issue you should be shut down and put people that really would love to work and fight for the well being of this nation. you should be ashamed, you are lacking of what this prestigious hospital was named for instance, its trully and solely purpose... charity...

The worst experience with the treatment for an international patient. The hospital arranged for us viewing for a cardiology patient. We travelled from a far away to be there (having paid a huge lump some that was supposed to be used for the tests etc). Instead - the person who took blood tests did not even wear PPE, the doctor who saw us had not even read our history (having sent if a month before), did not do any meaningful tests that would bring us to the diagnosis, still waiting for the anamnesis (and prescriptions) to be sent to us after over two weeks.

I went yesterday to Charité because I was in serious pain and couldn’t eat and drink water for 3 days already. When I arrived and told my symptons to the Administrative Sector, the guy told me to go home because I had a flu and could spend 7 days without eating with no problem. I decided to stay and when I passed the triage they discovered a huge tonsilitis, which needs antibiotics to not envolve into something way worse. The nurses were caring, although I need to wait 11 hours to see a doctor and be dismissed. Really disappointed with the Administrative Sector.
