Good vibes, good beers and good pork knuckles

While the food was what you would expect, the service was not. Two people in our party did not receive their meal until almost all others at table had completed their meal. They were sausages, the easiest to prepare.

What a fantastic place. The beer is first class. The food is delicious - and served in hearty proportions. The staff are very attentive and always willing to help. If you are in the area I strongly recommend a visit.

Traunsteins well known Brewery "Hofbräu Traunstein" and the Braustüberl are a good combinatio for beer and typical bavarian food. Specially when the sun shines and you can sit outside with the Bavarian Gemütlichkeit. Food is tasty and beer has hoppy taste. A must for a stay while in Traunstein.

My first time in Bavaria except Munich and it did not disappoint. The Brezel was so fresh and the Obazda was extremely tasty. Friendly staff and very nice vibes.

The food (knuckles) was excellent, the service and atmosphere was also superb, and most importantly the beer was outstanding! When I was there, they had a deal that for 8 euro, you get the dinner special (knuckles) and ALL the FREE beer you could drink in one hour; amazing!!! I highly recommend this establishment!

Traditionally Bavarian with good locally-brewed beer. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. The Apfelstrudel was o--k, unfortunately nothing special. Rest of the food looked good, however we didn't try anything else ourselves. In any event, worth a visit.

We visited here Saturday 2nd July 2022, this was the third stop off on a 52km Waging am See Traunstein 5 brewery tour loop *There is a map that details this and other cycle tours around Chiemgau area. We cycled from Teisendorf and this was perhaps the longest cycle section, with a long slog uphill shortly after Teisendorf just past Spock. Hofbräuhaus Traunstein is located in the square in town, so very central. There was seating out on the main square, we sat here, and again this is another building much like the two previous breweries that appears to have played a big part in the town for many years, a big building with a yellow facade. There was a lot of seating out here and on such a warm day, many people were taking advantage of the outdoor seating area, so much so that we had to wait a little while as the waitresses were very busy, however, this wasn't a problem. There were quite a few people eating here, we didn't as we'd just eaten at the previous place but the food looked good. I had the Helles, Loz had the Hefe Weisse both were pretty good and very refreshing and much needed after that last cycling section. I should like to come here again and maybe take a good look inside next time.
