Awesome seafood restaurant in Bentota. There are very few restaurants I would visit 3 times on a 2 week holiday but this is definitely worth a revisit. Great friendly service and the food is among the best available in the area. Overlooking the railway line and just a couple of metres away from the track was a lot of fun as the trains go by. The seafood soup and huge grilled prawns were so tasty and highly recommended.

Love the space and the location right by the river. I ordered the seafood curry and it was really tasty with a hearty amount of seafood. Also tried the Arrack cocktail - yum! Staff were really nice and have a good sense of humour. The only thing was Google maps wanted to bring me on a very off the track route which was not passable. If using Google maps, look for Galapatha Temple to get the right route.

We had an amazing sea food platter with great side dishes, they gave us coconut bread which was amazing, salad and rice with veg. Very good service aswell. I think the only problem in this restaurant is its very expensive.

How wonderful. The seafood dishes were outstanding. Some of the friends had the mixed grilled seafood plate, so delicious and not expensive. The service team told us that we also had to try the freshly caught tuna of the day. And this was the best advice, it was the best Tuna we ever had. Went for Christmas Day. The food and drinks were delicious, service was excellent and the price is decent for the quality you get. We sat by the river for drinks first and then moved inside for dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone! Note it is a little out of the way and when we arrived we were worried we might be the only ones there but as the evening passed it got really busy!

Their new location is a bit off the road but once your get there, you are struck by such a beautiful view of the riverside (go there around sunset!), we took tons of pictures and selfies all around the territory. Then, you are greeted by the friendliest stuff! One of the guys was joking left and right, super chill and fun! :) The others made an effort of bringing us towards the river to show the huge red moon rising on the horizon (welp it was cloudy, so we only had a glimpse of the moon haha). The interactions overall were expremely pleasant, comfortable, and warm. Then, the food, holy moly! The coconut roti was served with three sides, not just garlic butter, and was chewy and crunchy, yet softer than anything we tried before. The seafood platter was HUGE! Lobsters were juicy and meaty, so was the crab, the prawns, the fish, the calamari - everything well seasoned, super fresh and even sweet! The platter is served with a nice chilled white wine, the price for everything is more than affordable! (the homemade chocolate mouse was yum, too!) The buildings, bathrooms, and everything is brand new, clean, and the entire architecture looks gorgeous as in the most luxurious restaurants! Overall, the most memorable and enjoyable experience we've had with a seafood restaurant!!
