The hotel was small yet cozy, with the extra beautiful view from every balcony. And Kumara owner and manager himself was so sweet and humble to have cooked our anniversary himself. The river side sitting was very romantic. For the warmth and hospitality definitely 5stars.

Very calm and Clean rooms. The hosts are so lovely and courteous. They make us a very delicous breakfast in the wonderful garden with a view over the river. With a little bit luck you will see some warans. I definitely recommend this place.

This is a great place to stay if you are in a big group. There are two buildings now with 8-9 large, airy rooms, a lush lawn and the river at the back with balcony overlooking it. And an Asian monitor lizard which likes to sunbathe. It's very homely with a very helpful host.

Our family occupied the entire facility and spent two full nights. All rooms were quite spacious, clean, and very well equipped. Great place near the river. The people there are very kind and helpful. I had one of the best garlic bread in there for breakfast. But you have to ask them to make garlic bread in breakfast. Overall I feel like it's an amazing place I have been to.

If you are not overly fascinated with the idea of staying in front of the beach, book this 3 star guesthouse in Bentota which is just 10 mins walking from the beach. Absolutely amazing rooms and service. The owner and his wife are absolute gem of a person and go out of the way to accommodate you. Great place for long vacation/work in Bentota. View from room/Balcony is amazing as its overlooking the Bentota river. Swimming pool is missing as its not a commercial hotel however the bathtub in the rooms compensate for that very well. Vey peaceful and calm ambience and you can even engage in gardening or cooking with the owner if you have leisure time. Never felt so homely in any hotel in the world. kudos to the owner for such hospitality
