Two hostesses standing at the front...both very rude. 45 minute wait, but there were at least 15 tables open. When we asked if they were short staffed, they said no, they were actually overstaffed. When FINALLY seated, it took another 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. Then 45 minutes for food!! When our food finally arrived, itbwas not what we ordered and was stone cold!! Probably worst experience I've had at a restaurant!!

Only waited a couple minutes to be seated. Got our hot chocolate right away. Took forever to take out food orders. Waitress was friendly. Food finally comes. Eggs weren't even fully cooked (not safe to eat), forgot to bring the grits, bacon was tasteless and crunchy which I strongly dislike. Over all the cost of the meal is not worth the cost. Also being charged for the part I asked to be taken off since I didn't order them. This is a horrible first impression and I can easily say it ruins the chances of me ever going to a cracker barrel ever again around the entire US.

The customers who sat down 20 minutes after us got their food before us. Our food finally came out barely room temperature. Finally was able to get silverware after waiting 10 minutes with our plates in front of us. Finally started to eat and found an eggshell in my greenbeans. What a waste of time and money. Ill never come back here. The chicken was so obviously cooked hours before they served it. Disgusting. Mac n cheese cold as can be. They could definitely use new management as she wasn't to surprised about the eggshell.

Horrible! We decided to go here last minute. I heard one of the staff say they only had 2 cooks and someone went on a smoke break and never came back. So that's how it started. Kitchen was clearly backed up. We sat down asked for biscuits. My cousin found some kind of long hair looking object but it wasn't hair. That's why I looked at the other plate of biscuits because we received two and saw a bunch of hair. So that kinda set the mood. I was surprised at how good the steak was. Not the best steak but good for expectations at that point. My cousins also said their chicken was really good. Food wasn't bad overall but also not great. I would say avoid this location. Until the can get properly staffed. Especially kitchen staff.

Great experience. Had the best server Shay aka Carla. The food was good. Atmosphere was wonderful. The cook Phillip had food out swiftly and prepared wonderfully. Great job staff!!! Would come back when they are working without a doubt.

The wait to be seated took 30 minutes. Then after being seated it took about 40 minutes before we received our food. Just to have steak dry and burnt. Eggs had a very bad taste. I was left to eat just pancakes which was delicious. The bacon was undercooked. I was not happy. Even though I was not charged for the food. I'd rather enjoyed some good food.

My family loves CB !!! Long wait times but outdoor rocking chairs creates family talking time moments .

The man behind us said that they were waiting over an hour for there food! This is unsat! You see. There was a couple to our other side that didn’t have anything but drinks and they got up and walked out. I’ve been in other CB and I’ve never experienced the sad service. Our waiter’s comment said they put 4 tablets on him and it was 45 minutes before he was able to get the tablets order that walked out. I sat my timer for 30 and will be walking if my food isn’t here. There’s a lot of empty tables so there not busy! 😡

I've always loved Cracker Barrel, but their restaurants have been going down hill over the last few years. The one in Tuscaloosa always has poor, very slow service; even when there isn't that many customers. We have waited over a half an hour several times for our food. This has caused my husband not to want to return. The last time I was there, I ordered the grilled chicken tenders. They were absolutely terrible. They were dried out and cold. I have ordered these many times in Anderson, SC, where I used to live, and they were always wonderful. I'm not sure if it's just the Alabama restaurants or what? I've also noticed that we receive much smaller portions. With the food tasting bad, getting smaller portions, poor service, and everything costing twice as much as it use to, our family just isn't willing to keep going out and wasting our precious time and money.

Not as good as my usual experience at Cracker Barrel. Long wait before server came to table. Ordered half and half, got sweet tea, which was good, but not what I ordered. Tried the lunch special, chicken and dumplings, which I found a bit underwhelming. The turnip greens were good. However, I have to remember to ask for plain vinegar, not the hot pepper one, which is their standard. Ended up with three servers total; all were pleasant and overall experience was good.

There is nothing like southern style food to keep you satisfied on a long road trip. Almost every store offers an almost identical menu. What sets them apart are the servers and other staff who can make a visit great or just average. In this store, we had a trainee and her trainer Michelle (20+ years at CB). They were both examples of why people keep coming back!

I've never been to a CB this bad before. We had a delightful woman wait on us but the food was awful. Mind you we did order breakfast at 6 pm but still no excuse for serving subpar food. Chef Ramsey would have cursed and thrown it to the floor😆🤬. We were passing through on am 11 hr trip and won't be back but if the floor is a mess *filthy that is a sign of what's to come. Every business is suffering with trying to keep or get good staff but we still are paying for a half hinney effort.. I came for pancakes and this is what I got 🥴🫣

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Travel friendly place for comfort food. Classic breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. Novelty gift shop from a time long past. These restaurants are popular especially on road trips. Count on it.

This was the best visit we have had at a Cracker Barrel is a very long time! The service was great and the food was delicious like the we used to get when eating at any Cracker Barrel. I was hesitant when the grandkids said they wanted to eat here but of course I give into them lol I must say it was a welcomed surprise to actually enjoy eating at one of my old favorites! If only the ones in my area could take lessons from them....

Their new combo plates with steak and shrimp are amazing!

They had the bus boy being a waiter as well! He did his best but all we heard was the waitress complaining about having to many tables!! At least that means your making money if you weren't complaining lady! Food was good

The food was good & our server was nice. I think we walked her legs off 🤦🏻‍♀️ going back & forth getting stuff for us but we left her a really good tip💰 Me, my mom & aunt always like going to the Cracker Barrel to eat because we like to get vegetables. Most places in town is a hamburger/fast food places. Plus I usually find something to buy while I'm at Cracker Barrel 😉

They were very busy today and short staffed. We waited a long time after one fellow took our name, but they never called us. Then a lovely woman came out to explain that we were not likely going to get a table since they close in half an hour. I felt bad for her. She needed more help. We ended up eating elsewhere. I would definitely go back if I am in town again. Lovely people.

Point blank, the food was overcooked. The steamed broccoli was the only dish that tasted good. Was hoping it would have good tasting food. NOPE

Great food, great service! Lexis (?) was awesome even though we came in pretty late she still served us with a great attitude and quality service. Didn’t have chicken tenders but she made a quick recommendation and swapped for something else just as good! Thanks for help!

So this was my first ever cracker barrel. Pretty good, decent to huge portions. I'll say this and being a country boy this means so much. They have the best restaurant biscuits hands down. Go and have yourself a biscuit my goodness. Not quite my grandma's but pretty damn close.

If only I could give them 0 stars. Sorriest restaurant I know of on the door dash/Uber eats apps. On three different occasions me and a few friends have ordered from them. They have forgotten a complete order twice and cancelled our order after taking 3 hours to prepare it on another occasion. Would not recommend ordering online from them at all.

Loved it but they should serve lunch all day since they serve breakfast all day.. I was able to get a mimosa at 10:30am so that was freaking amazing!

Started out good, was told 20 minutes wait till be seated. Only took 10 minutes. Waiter took our order for drinks and then food. Then it was 40 minutes later we finally received our order. This is the second time in the last week at 2 different Cracker Barrel that late lunch took 1 1/2 hours. They keep that up and they will not be around long. No reason you should not be out in 45 minutes.

We had a small family reunion there in Bessemer Alabama and the employees were so friendly. My husband talked with someone and they told him they would definitely would accommodate our party of 10 or 12 people. Our wait was maybe 5 minutes and was seated. Our waitress Deborah G.was AWESOME! She took care of us as if we were her only customer's she had but she had several tables to take care of. She made our little reunion enjoyable. Then we went outside and got to visit with each other for about 5 hours. Thank you Cracker Barrel we will be back hopefully next year. And hoping Deborah G is still there.

Excellent FOOD and SERVICE. We had the County Fried Steak, Pinto Beans, Hash brown caserol not pictured. The Rolls and Cornbread made the picture..It was All Good 👍

This is my second review. Unfortunately not much has changed how ever the server Aboney and other staff were super friendly and did everything she could to make our dinning a good experience. They are still way under staffed with only about 1/3 of the dinning room filled at 6:30 on Wednesday night. The food was very good but took nearly 30 min to get our order. If your not in a hurry it's a good place to eat.
