We were awestruck by the passion and authenticity of the food. Lovely taste and service. Best indian breads and curries. Please make sure you visit it if you wish to enjoy the flavours of India sitting in a peaceful place like Betws-y-coed! P.S: spice can be moderated as per your wish!

My friend and I visited the quaint Betws-y-coed for a week this past summer and went to Abbasi's THREE nights while we were there. It was simply that good. After a long, tiring day of hiking the surrounding area, Abbasi's is where we continually found ourselves wanting to refuel. The staff here are wonderfully charming and we quite enjoyed seeing the familiar faces every time we returned. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and glass of merlot wine every single visit, but they were consistently superb. I would have ordered the same meal a fourth time! The food was very filling and the prices were extremely reasonable. One thing to bear in mind is that restaurants do get fairly busy in the summer in the region and if you don't get a reservation you can expect a wait and for service to be a bit slower. If you drive here, you'll want to head to the main car park in town, pay the (reasonable) fee, and then walk the 2-5 minutes over to the restaurant. Not a huge deal at all. I recommend Abbasi's with my whole heart! Pro-Tip: Check out the main dining room's large windows that look on to some impressive rocks that the restaurant is built upon.

Great restaurant! Very good service from the young woman greeting and serving. Food was excellent, prepared and cooked to order so we could specify how much spice and chilli we wanted for our chosen dishes on a mild, medium or hot scale... Great experience, would definitely return, and also highly recommend.

No idea why the food reviews are so mixed! We experienced fresh tasty dishes throughout. Service from everyone was above and beyond. You could order the spice heat for each dish too. Great selection of beers and wines. One of the best and different Indian restaurants I have been too. Maybe they had a different chef on the bad review days!!

The freshness and delicate tastes are wonderful. The staff accommodated 4 of us, plus dog, in a small side room at extremely short notice, and served up amazing meals.

Some of finest indian food I've had outside of home, really really good. We were missing indian food being indian ourselves and my daughter found this one restaurant with very good reviews. Not only did the food live up to our expectations but exceeded them, we enjoyed a lovely meal, very generous portions and very tasty and. We even took some back to the hotel where we were staying to eat the next day, was still very good even cold. Thank you to Karishma, Saira, Nadeem and Adam, exceptional food and amazing service.

Food tasted great! Never been asked what spice level I would like a korma before, but everything tasted lovely! Price wise, the sides and add-on’s are a little pricey, rice and bread should not cost half the price of the curry itself, and I’ve never had to pay for the chutney accompaniments with poppadoms before. Staff were very friendly and attentive, squeezed us in without a booking despite the place being very busy! Obviously a very popular spot and an enjoyable meal!

Went with no booking and turned up just before they were expecting a large party but couldn't have been more accommodating. Advised us to order a takeaway online so as to manage time expectations but allowed us to sit and eat it in. Great with managing allergies with GF and VG choices and no nuts on site. Food was fresh and delicious, highly recommend

While I was hunting for a resturent that serves food post 8PM in Betws-y-Coed, I have end up landing in this authentic Indian resturent. First of all, I was suspicious about the taste as most of the Indian restaurants abroad done exactly meet up to the expectations. But after trying out the food here I was so surprised, the taste was really amazing and exactly of what you get it famous restaurants in India, infact much better than many restaurants in India (Giving this review after trying different items for multiple days). If you are here in wales and around Betws-y-Coed, don’t miss out the food here.

Been in Snowdonia for 3 days and had food from here twice. Must say they have some authentic North Indian food with amazing flavors. We ordered a mild spicy vegetarian dish and it was perfectly done. If you are around do make it to this place to have an amazing treatment!

My experience here echoes that of other reviewers. The food was great, very tasty and authentic. Decent portion sizes and good range of dishes on the menu. Value for money is good, and I appreciate the ability to have halal food in a more remote part of the country. The only drawback is the slow service. Dinner here took about 2h total for a starter and main and other diners were having a similarly drawn out experience. If you prepare yourselves for that, you’ll have a good time with the food.

Staff very friendly and polite, sadly the food was very hit and miss- my partner's vegetable balti was lovely but my paneer masala was inedible. It tasted like no other masala I have ever had and there was a strong burnt taste. The curries themselves were reasonably priced but the rice was very expensive at £5 a portion. Annoyingly, a 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill, so despite being unable to eat my meal I had to leave a 10% tip!

Restaurant looked great and has good menu. But sadly we couldn’t even try. Right at entrance, we were forewarned of a 20 pounds per head minimum spend. Now on a normal day, that would have been easily possible. But we were on our way back to London, so heavy food and drinks were out of question. I understand that a restaurant seeks to maximise its profit by ensuring high spend per table, but I feel 20 is a bit too much for vegetarians when an average dish costs 6-7 pounds. So on a light appetite, 20 looked impossible.

Limited options for vegetarians! If you get the spice level right - tastes really good. Better playlist needed! Surprised that they don’t take requests like adding peppers or onions. Hostess was kind enough to get us some raw onions on the side. Thanks

We had a few dishes that didn’t have much flavor. Kind of all the same consistency. Service was fine but when I paid with an Amex they looked upset and said they don’t take it. It went through anyway so there was not much I could do. Floor was a bit sticky. Wasn’t offered a food menu until after we ordered a drink. 2 star hygiene rating put us off a bit.

Me and my wife eat at Abbasi's last year whilst staying in Betws-y-Coed and this is by far the worst Indian we have ever eaten in. As others have pointed out the Poppadoms appear to be straight from the supermarket and the starters and mains were just as bad. It was so bad we ended up seeing the funny side of it as just when we thought it couldn't get any worse they managed to outdo themselves. When we got our mains we both just burst out laughing it was so bad. A tourist trap and definetly not 'authentic' as most of the 5* reviews suspisiously all seem to mention.
