When I was earning my bachelor's at Capital University, I would visit the Main St ZenCha Tea Salon all the time. Today was my first time visiting the Short North location with my husband and he was astounded with how good his meal was! His first word was, "wow!" I don't think he knew what to expect but I had been telling him about this place for a while now. The tea selection is superb and the food menu is always a delight. We were here during the brunch hours so there was a limited menu, but my husband ordered the eggs in a basket and I ordered the lavender blueberry waffles. 🍳🫐🧇 My tea of choice (I wish I could do remember the name) had a bold fruit flavor and my husband ordered a caramel latte. Overall, I enjoyed visiting this location and I would recommend either location to anyone. Lastly, consider sharing the waffles with a friend because the portion size was huge! 😋

Cozy, warm and welcoming atmosphere here af ZenCha- we loved every minute of our time and every bite of our food. Not to mention the wide selection of tea from around the world added extra enlightening vibe. Ordered Middle Eastern Cardamon Ginger Tea and Spicy Yaki Udon for myself. Both had plenty of flavor that truly distinguished this restaurant from others around. The noodle had good aroma, perfect blend of spices, portion of veggies and protein. The tea was soothing yet really awakening. Loved everything about the this place. Highly recommend for someone looking to explore a different cuisine setting in Columbus area.

The vibe was very cute, mellow and intimate. The bubble tea was sweet and had plenty of boba. We ordered the samosa, and the pastry itself was light and fluffy- however the potato filling lacked flavor. The yaki soba noodles was very flavorful! Would reccomend the yaki soba soup, it was delicious. The food presentation was nice, some dishes just needed better seasoning but otherwise not too bad. Not a lot of kid friendly options, some vegetarian dishes available. The portions are not too big, but come on a big plate.

A relaxing intimate vibe, good food and AMAZING tea 🍵. If you come alone, with a date or a group of people... It's a nice place to enjoy the presence of yourself or others! One of my favorite teas is Vanilla Chai - smooth & calming to the soul... Give it a try. There are many teas to choose from and it's available hot or cold!!! Side note: the Sunrise Strawberry waffles are ONLY available during the weekend brunch hours.... Enjoy!

I love this place, but saddened that I won't be returning. I have a fish allergy and they told me they cannot clean off their grills to avoid cross contamination. I tried a bowl of pasta which they assured me it wouldn't be cross contaminated, and yet I had an allergic reaction anyways. Thankfully it wasn't severe. Be careful with this place. They're unfamiliar on how to handle allergies.

My family and I have been going to Zen Cha for 4-5 years now. The positives: The food is absolutely fantastic, (tea is unmatched) and the atmosphere is wonderful as well. Although I can chalk up one poor service experience to nothing more than "it happens" But this time it was really bad. Our waitress served our food and came back one time to check on us which was nice. But then we were abandoned for 30+ minutes before I had to ask another person to help check us out. Our waitress went a took her break instead of finishing and helping us pay. She put her headphones on and was eating without looking up at us. I had to pull another person aside and ask them to check us out and get boxes. The name on our receipt for our waitress said "Annie" but I don't know if that was the girl who waited on us or who checked us out. It was very frustrating considering we spent $60 on lunch. Maybe she told somebody to take over for her but she didn't tell us somebody would be and nobody acted like they were supposed to help. Nobody apologized or seemed to care. This is the second time I've been abandoned by my waiter/waitress here. We expect good service when paying a lot for a meal in a finer dining establishment. Not sure if we will ever be back.

Always a true delight coming here. The teas take you on a journey to a different country. Their aroma and taste brings a very high measure of bliss. The food. The FOOD. I mean the bourbon chicken is my jam. So juicy and packed with the right amount of flavor. The side salad that accompanies is perfection to start the meal.

Zen Cha has been one of my favorite brunch spots for years - I’ve been going here since college. They just have a really good weekend brunch with lots of good selections, and so many different teas from around the world. This is usually where I take family when they come into town!

We’ve been here several time and are never disappointed. A cold day called for some tasty hot tea, and the Black Forest filled the bill. Next up we had Egg Blackstone, the salmon with hollandaise sauce is so good, and also the Egg in a Basket, which completely satisfied our craving. Top it off with excellent friendly service, and no wonder we come back. Stop in, you’ll return, too!

Zencha Cafe and Tea is undoubtedly one of the worst establishments when it comes to providing a satisfying experience for customers. From the lackluster service to the subpar quality of their offerings, there are countless reasons why anyone should think twice before setting foot in this cafe. First and foremost, the service at Zencha Cafe and Tea is atrocious. The staff members are cold, uninterested, and seem to lack any semblance of basic customer service skills. Whether it's a simple request for an extra napkin or a more complicated order modification, they display an astonishing level of indifference and disregard for their patrons' needs. It is as if they expect customers to be grateful for their mere presence rather than providing genuine care and attention. Furthermore, the quality of the food and drinks in this cafe leaves much to be desired. One would expect a place that prides itself on tea and coffee to at least offer a decent variety of flavors and blends. However, Zencha Cafe and Tea falls short in this regard. Their menu is limited, and the options they do provide are bland and uninspiring. The coffee lacks depth and richness, while the tea often tastes as if it has been steeped for hours on end, resulting in a bitter and unappetizing experience. In addition to the lack of variety, the portions served at Zencha Cafe and Tea are shockingly small. It is not uncommon to receive a cup of coffee that is barely half full or a tea pot that yields only a few sips. As if the underwhelming taste was not disappointing enough, customers are left feeling shortchanged by the meager servings that simply do not justify the excessively high prices. Moreover, the overall atmosphere of Zencha Cafe and Tea is far from appealing. The decor is dated and uninspiring, lacking any creative or cozy elements that would make customers want to linger and enjoy their time. The seating arrangements are uncomfortable, contributing to a rather unwelcoming ambiance. The lack of proper space and privacy also makes it difficult to hold a conversation or relax without feeling crowded and on display. Finally, the hygiene standards at Zencha Cafe and Tea are questionable at best. The cleanliness of the tables, floors, and even the utensils is often neglected, leaving a strong odor and an overall unclean impression. Such disregard for basic cleanliness not only reflects poorly on the management but also puts customers' health and well-being at risk. All in all, Zencha Cafe and Tea fails to deliver in all aspects that define a satisfying cafe experience. From the abysmal service to the lackluster offerings and uninspiring ambiance, it is evident that this establishment is far from deserving of any praise. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a different cafe where your money and time will be better spent.

The best tea in town. No super sweet milks, plastic straws, foil tops or candy bubbles... Just a great selection of teas from around the planet, a nice atmosphere and an eclectic mix of tasty food. I'm on a mission to taste every tea on this menu, but I can't stop ordering my top three!

Very cute place, top notch teas, great variety, and good service. I've enjoyed coming here for years. Such a big herbal tea selection, too!
