One of the best places i visited in India to observe rare Gangetic Dolphins,it lies in Vikramshila gangetic dolphin sanctuary area ,because it is a side channel of River ganges ,in wet season from mid June to mid october ,one can be assured of best Dolphin observations in India from mid june to mid september.I visited this site for three days and observed and spent great time with Gangetic Dolphin.A must visit for anyone interested in Observing Ganga's Biodiversity. Ganga paraharis are doing a great job in conservation and awareness of Ganga's Dolphins on that site❀️

With around 1515 villages and 4 small towns, the district of Bhagalpur exhibits the perfect essence of historical harmony and natural beauty. Sitting along the plains of Ganga, Bhagalpur has been attracting various devotees from the corners of the world. Having a very fertile land, this place has contributed to the economy of Bihar through the plantations of rice, wheat, maize, barley, and oilseeds. With high-standing mountains, gushing river streams, and ruins of numerous historical buildings, Bhagalpur is known for its beauty which is embellished in nature as well as architecture. Bhagalpur is also known to be the"Silk City". The "Silk City" of Bhagalpur is known for the unique silk fabric Tussah or Tusser. The rise of such industries has made it reach the list of developing cities under the smart city program.

Pretty Rare chances of spotting Dolphins. If it's luck, then you may see not just one but three Dolphins. Even if you don't see Dolphins, the place is a good visit. Has a long stretch of River Sand,Full Photographbaazi Vibes.

Actual Location where I had found dolphins was ~100 meters to the west of this location. Move towards the confluence of the two branches of river to the west.

In my opinion no place in India like this from where we may enjoy our national aquatic animal gangatic Dolphin but it is only during floods or rainy season.

There us no place to sit or stand there to watch the river ,everywhere there is garbage..The place is heavily populated and it seems everyone throws their garbage into the river..Though there is ample scope to make this place a tourist spot..
