The food they serve here is authentic and delicious. We mostly visit here for egg dishes. The staff is also helpful. Only downside is the ambiance (my last visit was before corona). Punjab malwa is always on my top priority when I visit to India. ❤️

A 75 year old Dhaba. Absolutely authentic Punjabi taste. Hygiene and cleanliness is not too notch, service staff is also completely basic people. But that's the exact charm of this place. One can gk back to basics of dhaba food here. Loved it.

Mutton preparations are excellent, though the biriyani is not the Hyderabadi style, but overall food is good and quite affordable.

#Punjab Malwa An oldest Dhaba in Amdavad. ( i think 60 + years if i m not wrong ) Absolutely delicious punjabi food. Hygiene and cleanliness is not what we all expect but its basic. But that's the charm of this place. Its clean and with Simple Service staff. We have ordered #DalMakahni #BaiganMasala #ButterRoti #Chhas #Papad The price is so minimal. We have paid 600 Rs /- . Dont miss the Dal makhani here. Fresh and delicious food but only ambience needs improvement to attract all customer who are peculiar about the ambience . Exact Location 📍: Near Bhagwat Petrol pump , Before Gota Flyover, in the lane of The two Kathiyawadi Restaurant . ( Varudi khodiyar and other ) SG Hwy, Ahmedabad,

If you love to have some tasty food. Visit Punjab Malwa. It is good in terms of taste. An old school restaurant and an upgraded version of Dhaba is where I would be placing Punjab Malwa.

Warm old Sardarji and his son are the life of this Dhaba that is open 24 hours. We prefer eating the Dal Makhni and Paneer Bhurji here anyway over our 5 star eat outs. The speed at which they serve is unbeatable. Kids love it too! But yes a roadside Dhaba is a Roadside Dhaba so keep your expectations low in terms of hygiene and ambience and just enjoy the food which overshadows everything else!

Flavorful Journey to North India's Culinary Heritage Located on a SG Highway, Near Bhagwat Petrol Pump, Punjab Malva Restaurant stands out with its rustic charm and inviting ambiance. As a fan of North Indian cuisine, I couldn't resist the allure of this Dhaba-style eatery, promising authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes at budget-friendly prices. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by the welcoming aroma of spices and the lively chatter of diners. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to see an extensive selection of plant-based dishes on the menu. The restaurant lived up to its reputation of serving delicious vegetarian food. The dal makhani, a staple of North Indian cuisine, was a delightful blend of creamy lentils and subtle spices that melted in my mouth. Accompanied by perfectly cooked basmati rice and soft, buttery naan, it was a truly satisfying meal. For my non-vegetarian friends, the restaurant didn't disappoint either. The mutton curry, rich in flavors and tenderly cooked, received high praises from my companions. The succulent chicken tikka and flavorful fish curry showcased the expertise of the chefs in crafting authentic North Indian non-vegetarian delicacies. One of the standout dishes at Punjab Malva was the mouthwatering paneer tikka. The paneer was marinated to perfection, infused with aromatic spices, and grilled to a delightful smoky flavor. This dish alone was enough to convert even the most staunch meat-lover into a paneer enthusiast. The restaurant also boasted an impressive range of Indian bread, including a variety of naans and parathas. The stuffed parathas, with their generous fillings of spiced potatoes and cottage cheese, were a highlight of the meal. The flaky texture and delectable taste left me craving for more. The prices at Punjab Malva were surprisingly budget-friendly, especially considering the quality and quantity of the dishes served. This made it an excellent option for anyone seeking to indulge in delicious North Indian cuisine without breaking the bank. The overall dining experience at Punjab Malva was enhanced by the lively atmosphere and friendly staff. The restaurant's traditional setting and authentic flavors brought a sense of nostalgia for those who had visited Punjab or experienced the charm of Dhabas during their travels. However, it's important to note that due to the restaurant's popularity, it can get quite crowded during peak hours, leading to slightly longer wait times. Nevertheless, the savory, budget-friendly delights served at Punjab Malva more than made up for any minor inconveniences. In conclusion, Punjab Malva Restaurant is a hidden gem for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians seeking to savor the flavors of North Indian cuisine. With its inviting ambiance, delightful array of dishes, and affordable prices, the restaurant offers a truly authentic culinary journey to the heart of Punjab. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to the city, Punjab Malva is a must-visit destination for those looking to indulge in cheap and delicious North Indian fare.

Great food, place might look old and dull bit food and service is good. For Vegetarians Dal makhni & Kheer are must try. For Non Veg chicken mughlai and dahi chicken are a good choice.

Punjab malwa is the quintessential highway dhaba. I really like the dal makhni and aloo gobi here. Most dishes are priced 100-200 and are pretty tasty. The non veg is pretty decent too and they’re open late.

Earlier it used to stay open till 2-3 AM, now they close early. But the only nearest and oldest non veg resto in Ahmedabad, especially near Gota area. Good food, reasonable prices 👌🏻

If i have to rate tatse, food quantity and price then it's 10/10 but for cleanliness and hygiene level then -5/10.

  • 5/5 Tirath D. 2 years ago on Google
Awesome food. Pra facie, anyone would, have concern on hygiene however it's a trade off between taste and your assumptions basis visual appeal, I can vouch for fact that taste and freshness of ingredients would take brownie point
