TAUMADHI SQUARE is the next important SQUARE of the BHAKTAPUR CITY where the best example of engineering and architecture of multicolored temples and rectangular temples can be observed. Many Bollywood movie and web series like Baby , Farzi also shoot in the TAUMADHI SQUARE.

Taumadi square is in the middle of the bhaktapur city. It is a beautiful and open place. It is also famous for tourists destination. There are 2 temple available that is Nyatapolo temple (5 story temple) and bhairabh nath temple.

Setting sun casting yellow glow on bell at UNESCO World Heritage site Taumadhi Dabu Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nepal it's a UNESCO world heritage site for a reason and well deservedly. The square and surrounding areas will take a full day to explore so get there early and stay until sunset. As well as the many buildings to explore there are also little gems scattered around the site like the bell or stone carved statues. Find yourself one of the cafés in the traditional buildings that overlook the sqaure

Beautful place with impressive temples. Free visiting once you have paid for the |Bhaktapur ticket. If you climb the stairs of the higher temple you have a beautiful view. Pleasant cafe in one of the old buildings. Good shops around, but need to negotiate stiffly. Spend time here, but also wander through the many narrow streets around the square and elsewhere!

It was a wonderful experience being in taumadhi square on the special occasion of Gai Jatra. This place looks mesmerising on this day than normal days. It was shining because of the light of the culture n happy souls. Feels grate being there.

Basically, the Piazza del Duomo of Bhaktapur. The locals call it Tamarhi, a Newar language term which has been Nepali-ized to Taumadhi which (unfortunately) has become more prevalent than the original local name. A wonderful place regardless. Would've been even more pleasant if they do not allow motorbikes to enter.(they are super annoying and the reason for a four star review)
