Shiva
guest
house
is
apparently
one
of
the
oldest
guest
houses
in
Bhaktapur.
It
is
very
cute
and
authentic
and
it
makes
you
truly
feel
you're
in
Nepal.
Some
of
the
rooms
have
world-class
views
on
the
historic
square.
The
staff
is
very
nice
(just
like
everywhere
in
this
town),
the
restaurant
is
cute
too
and
the
food
is
good
and
varied.
If
you're
here
for
just
a
few
days,
I'd
go
back
to
Shiva
anytime
because
it
captures
the
feel
and
vibe
of
this
historic
town
so
well.
A
drawback
is
that
after
sundown,
Bhaktapur
gets
cold,
the
heating
in
most
of
the
local
restaurants
and
the
bedrooms
is
so
basic
that
it's
not
comfortable
to
hang
around
so
you
end
up
crawling
under
your
blanket
after
8pm,
more
so
because
the
whole
town
closes
down
at
9pm.
The
other
drawback
is
that
the
town
dogs
make
a
lot
of
noise
at
night
and
from
5am,
all
kinds
of
bells
start
ringing,
which
is
cute
at
first
but
can
prevent
a
good
rest
after
a
while.
In
that
case,
you
could
consider
going
to
the
Nanee
where
you
can
enjoy
modern
comforts
and
a
sound
proof
room.
But
I'd
definitely
start
my
stay
in
Bhaktapur
with
Shiva!
