Kamal vinayak chowk is one of the popular chowk in Bhaktapur. It is 1 km north from the arniko highway. It has a popular pond kamal pokhari and ganesh temple Kamal Vinayak. People go here to hang out and walk around the pond and can also have street foods. It is near to bhaktapur durbar square.

Kamalbinayak Chowk is one of the big business hub in Bhaktapur. Moreover its a grocery hub in here. From vegetable market to all house hold groceries are found here at reasonable prices.. the recently opened Big mart also locates in here. There are many mobile repair plus sales shop in here. If you wanna have some food there are many restaurants surrounding the Kamalpokhari pond from local restaurants to standard resraurants. Ward no. 10 office of Bhaktapur Municipality is also here. Ward 10 is one of the biggest ward in Bhaktapur Municipality. If you wanna go shopping this place is recommended. If you just wanna hang out, you can go around the ancient Kamlapokhari 30 sec walk from the chowk. There is a Bus Stand too, buses enroute to Ratnapark and Gaushala-Chabahil leaves from here. The other bus stand beside the pond holds the buses to Nagarkot-Kharipati- Telikot route.

It is fantastic place to visit around the pond. It is large pond. There are good restaurants at its surrounding. Yatu Crimson Cafe is one of the best. Kamal binayak ganesh is also popular. The name of pond was kept from this ganesh name. There are two bus parks. One destined for Ratnapark, Kathmandu another for Nagarkot

When in Bhaktapur and when in doubt go to Kamal Binayak 😆 The prime hub of Bhaktapur connecting the town with Nagarkot and Kathmandu. The place gets polluted of the bus and vans that cruise through during the day. Shopping lanes are also here but you should know to hustle

Kamal binayak is the form of the god Ganesha among four Binayak it is also one of them. On the side of thier lies kamalpokhari which is a very lovely place to hang out in the evening and watch the reflection of the sun in the pond. Live music and restaurants are surrounded by Pokhari. Most of the people visit this place in the evening time as it is peaceful. Newari cuisine is easily found there.

It's just a junction leading one road to Nagarkot, other to Chyamasingh and another to Dekocha.
