A beautiful heritage structure extended tastefully to a 100 room palace hotel. Has four restaruants, cafe, bake shop, boutique store, bar lounge, indoor and outdoor sit outs. There are five room categories - recommend Imperial room which are pool facing or face a green space (my preference). There is a swimming pool, spa and gym. Uniquely, around the Imperial room block is a horse walking track and morning and evening the horses go by. The property is well maintained, staff is well trained, helpful and polite, food good. For travellers particular about COVID appropriate behaviour, strict precautions are in place. Enjoy your visit!

I must call out Javed for his affable and courteous service. He helped me with my booking and also catered to my special request. The staff overall we're polite, patient, and jovial. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job cleaning the room everyday. The breakfast buffet at the Shahnama hotel was decadent and catered to my needs for a sumptuous, well-balanced, and wholesome breakfast. The Green Supreme and the Vegetables and Fruit juice were my favourite. Besides continental food, some authentic Bhopali dishes were also served. My wife enjoyed her omelette and waffles from the live counter. The hotel also provided for my exercise needs. The gymnasium was well equipped and enabled my cardio as well as my strength and conditioning workout sessions. The pool was well also maintained. The spa and wellness center served my wife's salon needs. My wife and I also loved the company of horses in the hotel's paddock and stables. We were allowed to visit the horses, pet them, and get acquainted with horses in general. Jehan Numa palace is so good at what they do. They have a museum inside telling you about the history of Bhopal, you can get an Audio guide as well for it. They have multiple amazing restaurants which are very nice, both taste wise and easy on the pocket based on the service they provide

This is an authentic peaceful staycation property. Pleased with the staff’s services and hospitality. However, the receptionist have huge scopes for improvement. The lady lacked communication skills. We waited for 40 minutes past our standard check in time to get the room, but it was not acknowledged and we had to roam around the property waiting for it bored. She also upgraded our rooms without mentioning it 😃. This may have been a positive experience only if she would’ve mentioned it to us, lol.

A bit expensive but it has the service for it. From breakfast to lunch and dinner wide variety of food, very tasty, the satff so polite and ready for any work anytime. I had wedding there it went so smooth and we had fun.

Loud music till midnight almost is definitely not done. On complaining they offered to change rooms but how do they even allow such a thing?

Giving this iconic hotel a one star thanks to their atrocious customer service. Made a booking and thought I could go there without thinking twice. Called them a day before arrival and requested Tanya for a simple card since it was my mothers 70th birthday. She flatly refused the request and said they don’t keep cards and would not be able to arrange for one either! I then asked for a bouquet. Tanya said she was doubtful since the team that makes bouquets might be unavailable!! She later called me back saying she would be able to arrange for one from outside and that it would be chargeable, which I was fine with. I was open about my disappointment and shared that this was not how I would expect the head of a five star property to be. At the end of the call, she asked me if I’m from the hospitality industry and even if I was South Indian! I decided to avoid the place just because of her attitude and very glad I did because my experience at Taj Lakefront was fantastic.
