This Hotel/Restaurant is a staple stop in our travels throughout Europe. The rooms are excellent. Ignore the suggestions that the rooms should be updated. They are modest, but beautiful and very well equipped. The spa is wonderful, with two different hot/dry saunas (60 and 90 degree Celsius), and a fantastic room for relaxing while also enjoying a view over Ulm. The restaurant is very good (strong very). Fresh ingredients and perfect preparation. I see a lot of people suggesting that the quality of the food is just OK. I cannot imagine the privilege they enjoy in their lives if my meal tonight should be described as "OK". But the very best thing is the staff. My girlfriend needs to follow a strict diet because of her Rheumatoid Arthritis (avoiding foods that can cause inflammation). This has made going to restaurants and traveling very difficult. However, this was not the case at the Hirsch. They allowed her to completely modify her meal and it came to us exactly as she described it. Those are the moments that really elevate a restaurant for us. Listening, caring and accommodating. Bottom line: If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and see for yourself. You will be pleased.

I was only at the restaurant so I can leave a review about the restaurant. Food was excellent and expensive. Its not your normal day average restaurant but I will say they earned it. The room we ate was rather too warm.

It was a very pleasant stay, we could relax and enjoyed the food and ambiance. However at a check out we heard a very unpleasant comment from a receptionist, who dealt with our stay. We were charged for double breakfast, even if my husband did not have one. The receptionist the night before assured us that we are charged only for the persons who attend the breakfast. Misleading and controversial. A very bitter ending of what was a great stay. I think people at the reception need to receive a better training on communicating with the customers.

Top notch traditional German restaurant. I don't like if you want to eat traditional southern German food that's one a little bit higher and then this is that place. Have been coming here with my wife's German family for years now on special occasions. We only eat here so I do not have any information about the hotel part of the establishment. However the restaurant is absolutely amazing.Highly professional well-trained waiters which is more typical of Germany than North America and extremely well-prepared food.if you fly I'm coming here I would recommend getting a reservation as the place is booked out quite often well in advance.

The restaurant is very good (food and atmosphere) but the double-rooms are average. The furniture is dated and the room smells too much of the perfume you find in business hotels. Size of the room is good. And the bath is ok. I can see they push more money in the restaurant.

Small but comfortable rooms, nice restaurant and wide brakefast buffet. Traditional hospitality and smile faces everywhere. Clean and nice bathroom with everything you need. Has free parking space.

The room was spacious and clean. We did not have dinner or breakfast in the hotel. The WiFi is free but the reception was very poor in our room as well as in the restaurant where we had some drinks. All in all a good hotel for an overnight stay.

I've stayed at 3 hotels in Ulm and this one is my favorite. Room was nice, though small. The hotel however is very nice compared to others in the area. The hotel is located only 15 minutes from Ulm city center. The restaurant is top quality, though it is a bit pricey.

Great food, good quality products used. The waiter told me that all Produce is local and especially the meat products are from the house. The menu card is compact but all products made very well. The price per meal is high though.

Just ate here. Beautiful place, excelent dishes, great people.
