Gawan Chowk is a Pillar standing in the middle of the road from which 4 different directions are separated. It is close to Mahmud Gawan Masjid and Madrasa. This pillar looks beautiful and it is decorated during some festivals. This pillar has its own history.

Its a historical place now and indeed is beautiful 😍 have seen how one of its part was destroyed due to lightning several years ago, its been renovated but there are still areas where we can see the burnt ground with black spottings.. the masajid there is alive and 5times prayers goes on punctually. Found the entire area very beautiful and serene 👍

Bidar is filled with historical places. Gawan chowk is one among these places. There is not much to see here, Clean and well maintained. People can visit here and can finish the site seeing within 15 minutes.

This junction is famous in old city for tea and snacks and sweet shops. And having a heritage building here known as Mehmood gawan university of the time of kingdom rule.

Gawan is a reconstructed chowk it was different before ! This is in old city area of Bidar and near gawan chowk one of biggest markit of Bidar is there !
