One of the best eye hospital in Kolkata. I'm seeing them for last 10 years. Extremely professional and competent management with highly qualified and competent dedicated doctors. They have good labs, very good and well equipped OT. Both doctors and all staffs are very nice behaving and caring as well Book online for appointments. They also accept WB health scheme, CGHS ( not sure about swasthya sathi card though), and all major insurance. Very clean. There's a cafeteria inside, a medicine shop and a spectacle shoppe is also there. Only cons is there is no parking lot for patient

it's a good eye hospital and you should book online appointment on their website then visit so it will be hassle-free. doctors are also very good, BUT most nurses (who calls your name when you are in waiting area) are baised (corrupt) , they will call the people who they know their relatives first, even when u have your appointment before them. i had an appointment for my grandmother at 3.30pm in December 2020, i kept on asking nurse that we did not get called, she was just saying i will call but she did not. but she had not called us. she called us last at 5.15pm. we were last patient left in waiting area. so you see because of her my grandmother, a senior citizen, suffered for 2 hours, we had appointment of 3.30pm but still she troubled us for 2 hours.

It is the best eye hospital in Kolkata. It is possible to see a doctor here for only 50 rupees. If there is no extra problem in the eyes, the doctors here are best for 50 rupees for a simple checkup. If one wants to see well, he can see a doctor with 500 rupees. My father underwent cataract surgery from here. Dr.Ratish Chandra Paul is the best cataract surgeon here. The behaviour of the doctors are very well. They try their best to cure patient.

Post reviewing all the positive post opted for this medical facility, alas utter disappointment . Day 1 :- Waited post operations for more than 03hours just to get the reports & then only patient was released .Reason behind the delay @ Doctor is occupied with other OT’s . Day 2 : Been advised to get the patient for post Operation check the next day ,has been waiting for 02 hours & the wait continues god know for how many more hours .Reason Doctor is in OT . Blasted the reception people & they assured to sort out the issue shortly but it’s been over 45 mins no revert & completely pathetic approach. Requested for Senior management to intervene but alas no one turns up Guys be careful before opting out this place .Past records been impressive but now it’s on ON auto mode .**BIG NO NO ** If you intend to pay premium fee check out other places but not this terrible so called EYE HOSPITAL Look at the empty reception **ADMIN TEAM has super laid back attitude ** & they are messing up with the overall experience ** Doctors experience is **SUPERB**

Consultation & treatment including different tests to operation (if needed) to post-operation -- everything under one roof. Several experienced eye specialists available throughout the day for consultation during working hours. Consultation fee is only Rs.50 under general category. Consultation slot can be booked beforehand over phone. South Indian & North Indian snacks, tiffin as well as sandwich, pastry, cake, burgers, cold drinks, tea, coffee even veg and non-veg meals all available in independent units within the campus. Copying center is also there. Auto for Bidhannagar is available from the auto stand just around the corner.

Excellent service and very polite to the patient. I went there six month ago to cataract surgery of my father. However, I m a CGHS beneficiary and I also got excellent service and support from all the staff of hospital. Last month, I again visited the hospital to cataract surgery of second eye of my father. It was a nice experience. My father is very much satisfied with the treatment. Thanks a lot to all the staff for their professional and humble behaviour

Direction: Take an auto from Chingrighata Bypass crossing. I went there for my annual eye checkup. The hospital is clean and provides handwash near the gate. Opens at 8:30am, it took me 1 hour to complete the whole procedure. This is my second visit and I encountered two different doctor in my 2 visits. On my two visit, I found that the maintenance of machines and instruments, particularly the lens trays of various powers is not done properly and the lens are hazy and dirty. They charge very less compared to other establishments. Eye check is done for Rs. 50.

Best eye care center in Kolkata. Nominal charge, takes great care of patients. Contact before if you have any major operation. For regular checkups, there are many doctors available everyday. The time taken for each check up is usually 4-5 hours. Visit early for less crowd.

If you want to become blind then go there. As for the staffs my janitor knows how to behave well. Please go somewhere else don't waste your hard earned money.I had a terrible experience there. I don't know how a private hospital employs staffs like them.

I will not recommend this hospital. I went for eye check up the doctor prescribed me wrong power. I realised it after I bought my eye glass. I was seeing everything tilted. I went to cross check the power from Titan eye, they told the power prescribe is more so you are seeing tilted, I had to remake my eye glass. Totally waste of money. My father had similar issues from susrut before. You need to re-think before going here. I can attach the prescription here, but I am respecting the privacy of the doctor so not uploading it here.

They are simply making money. Also one of their Doctor behaved really roughly with me. While doing retina check, she almost injured me with her nails. I was constantly asking her to be gentle, but she was busy thinking about her lunch as lunch time was soon. This is my eyes we are talking about ! I could have been severely injured !

I went for treatment of retinal detachment for my father. Doctor was experienced but the Operation was performed by his trainees in his presence and not by him as told. The hospital charges are a bit on the expensive side compared to other similar level Eye Hospitals. When you pay a premium price for such critical surgery(PPV), you expect the doctor himself to operate as told and not by his trainees.

Good doctors are there. Response time is quick. The place itself is pretty clean. Parking is a bit of a problem. Pharmacy is available within the premises. It is better to take an appointment beforehand as there is a lot of rush. The place is very cheap for treatment. OPD available on sundays as well

A big 5 star to Sushrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre. Staffs are very supportive and promptly reply to every query. Doctors are great. They don't prescribe anything unnecessary. They only advice what is required for one. The entire premises is very neat and clean. I'm going to recommend all to Susrut for eye checkup.

One of the worst experience, staffs have a attitude like they are doing some kind of charity. No place to seat or stand. Even after having an appointment it took 2 hrs just see the doctor. Everything from registration to reports is done on the doctors cabin itself. The only good thing is the consultation fee is β‚Ή50 only. Only visit if you have lot of free time.

My wife was treated for CSR by Dr. Sangeeta Roy at Susrut, Salt Lake unit. She has taken great care and has been extremely helpful during the course of treatment the duration of which was about 2 years. I must say she is not only a very patient and level headed doctor but a very gentle and kind person too. As far as the hospital is concerned it has an array of specialist ophthalmologists and a great team of paramedics and allied workforce. The system they have in place may look a little shabby during the first visit, but thereafter you realize that they have a very simple but perfect system in place and it works like clock work. 14.01.21 During my visit in January 2021 I was quite dissappointed with the new decentralized system when one has to go directly to the chamber of the doctor with whom one has booked appointment for and fee/charges for test etc. is to be deposited there in cash. Payment by card is a complicated affair now as you have to go to a different building if you want to pay by card. Moreover you need to collect the receipts from a different counter if you pay by cash at doctor's chamber after you recieve treatment, and you are liable to forget doing it in all probability. I request the management to go back to the previous process when fee collection was centralized if possible, as this was convenient for the patients.

I had an appointment with Dr Anirban Kundu. First medical intern tested the eye and stated that my vision was the same as earlier. Later Dr checked through the testing machine and he was in hurry also did not listen to my concern. When I said that there is no change in power he denied and said no the power has changed from before. He hardly spoke to me only 10 second. Later one of intern came and gave me the prescription where doctor advised the following .1) Use glasses 2) One eye drop 3) consult with ENT. My concern is if I have pain in my eye why should I go to ENT and why can't I get the correct treatment in your foundation? What is the purpose of your eye foundation when the patient gets no help at all? Kindly clarify this

the eye clinic was one of the best of its kind. many of our family members got our eye checked from there, and we gotta admit that it's way too underrated and is drowned in the popularity of other clinics in West Bengal, Kolkata too. we highly recommend everyone to kindly pat a visit here, because another notable mention is that despite being a non governmental organisation, they're still providing treatment at a low cost :)

Worst experience ever . My appointment has been booked before checkup. The time of appointment was 3:15 in D. Mukesh Jain cabin . It's been 2 hours no reply from his helpers . They keeps saying it's not go like this . Whenever I ask them tell after how many persons my name will come ... They keep saying we don't have the information. And new patient come their name being called . But my name is not being called by single time, even a patient time allocated on 3:40 they got their name called. It's a very pathetic situation going on .. hope management will fix this issue .

Best eye care hospital in Kolkata. Very systematic, well managed, good doctors availability. Good attitude and focused on duty, standard treatment and perfect guidance. Only 50 rupees!!! Yes EYE check up and first round of medical consultation you will get in only 50/- rupees. I can compare this center with some of the medical centre in South India. Truly they care for patients. The way they are handling and giving service to Kolkata/ patients... Other hospital and medical centre should learn from them. God bless you all. Thank you πŸ™

Had my father's cataract surgery done there under supervision of Dr Arindom Deb. The doctor is soft spoken and very well behaved. He gives proper time to the patients which is rare trait now a days amongst doctors. He will explain the process properly and would answer all the queries properly. The hospital is well coordinated with staffs being very well behaved. The best thing I liked about the whole process was the adherence to the appointment time. There were no waiting time at all. If I have to advise something for improvement, it would be the process post surgery where they won't release the patient unless all the required process with the insurance company is not sorted. This can be done a little better. Also the elderly lady in the counselling room advising about the post surgery care measures, could be a little soft-spoken. I understand she is doing the same thing so many times in a day and sometimes losing patience. Overall very nice experience and a must recommend hospital for anything related to eye.

Crowded hospital, with many people. Went to pick up prescription glasses, the place was very dusty and dirty. Not very well maintained at all. I heard that they have the best doctors there, yet the place receives so much foot traffic that they could spend a little money and energy on maintenance and renovation of the facilities. The glasses "shop", if you may call it that way, had very little variety for frames and it was really worn down. Even the mirror was cracked 🀣 Service was not too slow - 20 minutes to pickup order that was ready. If you need new glasses - go to a better place. If you need professional help with your eyes then you may try your luck here.

First of all good management is the main feature of this hospital. The management works fast and does efficiently and that's why seem to be caring. The place is clean and hospitable. There is a open waiting place under a tin roof with chairs and benches for the waiting patient's party. Canteen and food stalls are in the premise. Toilets are there but numbers are inadequate as far as the number of visitors is concerned. You can consult with numerous qualified doctors here with nominal price.
