One and only Airport in North Bengal and staff's behavior is really good and helpful. They'll help you if you ask them anything... Their service is well arrange. You can talk in english,Bengali,Hindi or Nepali, in whatever language you feel comfortable.

Bagdogra international airport located in siliguri in West Bengal, India is a gateway airport that connects indian towns to the North Eastern region of India. Darjeeling, queen of the Himalaya is about 3 hours of back breaking car journey from here. However, the airport can be maintained better to ensure efficiency. Overall a very good international airport if one is visiting North East India.

It's better to call it a bus stand. Too much overcrowded. This airport needs serious upgradation at the earliest. People running around for quick security check in is quite common here. You need to keep an hour extra in your planning to avoid missing the flights due to sheer amount of rush being prevalent here.

Bagdogra is a bit bigger airport than our expectations. Though the airport is international but there are very limited foreign flights from here. The snacking counter is also very limited but can serve you with good food. One can easily reach from Siliguri via shared taxis or autos, it's hardly 12 km from Siliguri main area.

Almost I travel 8 times from this wonderful small airport with one runway with approximately 9000 feet and located in western part of Siliguri West Bengal India 🇮🇳 and 164.7kms from Phuntsholing Bhutan 🇧🇹 which took nearly 4hours journey depending on the traffic situation on the way😜 These are some of aerial photos of the airport and it’s view from the sky! No complexity like other international airports simple arrival and departure terminals 🙏 Be careful ❗️ with your baggage keep eye on baggage all the time 🕰️ Wonderful stay there if you are planning to go to Bhutan 🇧🇹 this might be best as per the financial situation 😘 Good day❤️

Connects the north eastern states. Located in Siluguri surrounded by tea estates. Owned by Indian Air Force. Small airport compared to other international airports in India with limited facilities. Really crowded most time. The washrooms were not clean enough.

All the major operators are operating from this airport. Above all it is managed by Indian Airforce so it has different fame. The city itself is a defence base, and the weather conditions and other things are too awesome. The only cons with the airport is it is inoperative in the night due to lack of infra and as per the current crowd they need to expand the capacity. The developments are going on but it will take some time. This is not big airport but not bad experience.

Airport is good but small .. facilities as per passenger is not good ,... Facilities are really very poor... It is usually congested ... Like the people are overboarded and In security line I faced pushing from back as if we were boarding some local train .. anyways that's was my personal experience and lady behind my back was puff ... waiting lounge is over crowded .. But seats are comfortable , spacious ... As per fooding you will find some good outlet to have food And their is drinking water filter ... If you are coming from car you ll get 3 mins to unload Overall it is good feasible

An ok kind of place. Too small for the number of Travellers it has to handle. Very few places for snacking. The staff is helpful though. Quite neat and clean too. During high season the seating capacity of the airport dwindles in comparison to the travellers. Security is fine and people are courteous. Should work on the infrastructure.

Nice airport. Well maintained and kept clean. Friendly people. Cute shops and kids will enjoy the shopping. Small Airport but caters mostly to the Entire Northeast. They have improved drastically over the years. Sometimes too crowded. Maybe they can plan expanding the space. Appreciate all the effort by the airport authorities.

As with any small airport, it is very crowded. When we arrived in the morning, the Darjeeling Tour Center was closed, only the Sikkim Tour Center was open. Foreigners can obtain Sikkim entrance documents there. Thankfully, after submitting all the documents and receiving the permit letter, I got a Sikkim free travel book. On the way out, be careful as people who aren't even wearing porter outfits take and move your luggage and ask for tips. At least large airports can distinguish porters from ordinary people, but this is not the case.

This airport does not even deserve a rating. It was one of the worst airports that I have visited among domestic and international airports. Poor management with limited capacity, that makes people stand in queues for hours without any seating arrangement. If you are going to this airport, just make sure you are ready for - 3 hour queues without any proper procedure especially during security check - Last minute calling and delayed flights - Poor ventilation and air conditioning - Zero COVID protocols - Poor seating arrangements and cleanliness And much more....

Space is too short to accommodate a huge number of passengers here.. Airport authority should take initiative for this major problem

The Airport gate opens at 5:30 am and they operate from 6 am. Air Asia Crew members are very helpful. I love the whole experience as it was my morning flight. Washroom are clean and food options are also good. They should have one smoking area.

Nice, small Airport of defense. It is the gateway of Darjeeling, Sikkim and portion of North Bengal. Well connected with other parts of the country. Baggage scanner, three luggage belt, elevator, seating arrangements, washroom, Cab Booking counter, Food counter etc. facility is available here.

Good airport and airbase. Clean, systematic, good security. SMOKING ZONE NO😗📍Food, tea and other shops and stalls are there. International airport. Wash rooms are clean. But I must mention here that spice jet service is pathetic. Bagdogra Airport is good. My 5th visit.

Defence airport . So no photography . Basic airport . Some railway stations might be better to this . But gets jobs done. Not so big . But can handle what ever crowd it has . Parking available . Washrooms are fair enough. Cleaned and neat .

Bagdogra Airport is the one and only airport in Siliguri, WB. From this airport you can go anywhere in India. This airport is not so developed. But they have almost every single service. This airport is under Indian army , this is an army control area actually. After departure you won’t find any auto , you have to take taxi. Which is quite expensive.

Very small airport.This airport is useful for Sikkim and west Bengal state.Maximum flights are to Delhi.Only 2 direct flights to mumbai. No discipline, improper rows in entry,xray scanning and only 2 food shops; one before checkin for cabin luggage and another after checkin.Both are very costly.sitting arrangement is enough,but little confusing.staff is very cooperative.

One of the best Tier-2 airports which is well connected with the city via shared transport options. One can get a Tata Magic from Hill Cart road to Bagdogra Junction and then take an auto to the airport. This is the most cost effective option.

Bagdogra is a small airport but has lots of people travelling to and fro thus needes to be expanded. It has connectivity with major cities in India. The road going to the airport is beautiful as you can see tea gardens.

Since the runway size is quite small compared to other airports, very experienced pilots handle takeoff and landings at this airport. Bagdogra International Airport is situated northern Bengal part of India, its is near the Siliguri city. This international airport has an average infrastructure building which need to elaborate. Because, there are thousands of passengers are using this airport and the airport always got crowdy. Though the airport authority nicely manage the crowd but, for the passengers' well being, need to elaborate the facilities. However, the cleanliness is good. The airport staffs were helpfull.

Decent airport. Since it is a defence airport it's not as fancy as some other airports in the country. Only airport of north bengal which caters to people of east Bihar, north bengal, sikkim, assam. State government must build a new Greenfield airport to cater the demands.

Small busy airport, normal Flow for indian airports, Western people would call it chaotic. Only a few facilities both before and after check in. When you arrive, plenty Taxis offer Transfer to Darjeeling.

Excellent work is performed by the RCDU ( Directorate of Airports Authority of India) for the installation of DVOR/ DME facilities. Now the DVOR / DME Navigational facilities is handed over to Airforce. This airport is at very important strategic location since it is connected to the Chiken neck of India. It’s an important connectivity for going to Sikkim and Darjeeling hill station. This airport is located near Siliguri town.

Better than what it was few years ago. A new constructed area gave additional sitting space and new washrooms. Couple of food joints after security area. In summers more than enough standing ACs to keep you cool. A nice tea shop to take away tea for your friends and family. Overall, a nice small airport.

I recently visited this airport, and I must say it's one of the worst I've been to. Situated within a military base, the place lacks cleanliness. It's notably small, resulting in fewer crowds, but unfortunately, that doesn't compensate for the limited food options. There are only two small local snack shops available, so I strongly advise against relying on them. To add to the frustration, my flight got delayed by 2 hours, significantly worsening the overall experience

It is a small domestic airport. Flights from Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad are coming daily to this airport. This is the nearest airport to Gangtok, Sikkim (4.5 hours through hilly road) (particularly during monsoon). To visit Darjeeling, Siliguri, Gangtok tourists use this airport. Due the security reason photograph inside the airport ( runway) is strictly prohibited.
