An institution in Bilbao. Go there for a glass of wine or a pint and grab a delicious toasted bread with Spanish ham. This ham is so good that it will melt in your mouth. Usually quite busy but it is plenty of staff that speaks English and will help you. I recommend to stay at the bar, have a drink and then carry on with the pub crawling.

I’ve been there two times, and both were great experiences. I must recommend the “joselinni”, one of my favourites plates ever. The ambience is elegant yet welcoming, and the service prompt and personable. Given the outstanding quality of their cuisine, the (dirty) paper menus looks out of place. Overall an outstanding restaurant with a remarkable wine list.

One of the best dining experiences I had during my time in Bilbao and at a very reasonable price. The food was gorgeous, inventive, full of flavour and with really nice ingredients. The service was top-notch. I went on Saturday night and had a reservation to sit outside in the terrace (end of July, so really nice weather for it). This is recommended given how popular the place is.

Excellent food and variety for the gastronomy menu. The regular menu has good choices as well. I particularly liked the steak and monkfish. It's recommended to make a reservation beforehand. Located in the city centre. They also speak English.

Very lively place with a lot of tradition. We enjoyed dinner and drinks. It gets quite chaotic with people pouring in constantly. Service can become slower therefore. Portions are small, food is very tasty.

We took the 30 euros per person tasting menu. Great tastes and presentation, surely enough for dinner. Great selection of wine for reasonable prices. Nice terrace outside in a traffic free street. Service could be a bit better, not a lot of words coming out of the waiter. We would definitely go back when in Bilbao!

We ate the tasting menu at the restaurant and had tapas at the bar on separate occasions. Both were great! All dishes were really delicious but stand outs were the foie with egg potato purée and mushrooms (we ordered more of this dish after trying the first one), ham with bread, the squid with onion sauce, veal cheeks, and the red berry gratin with cheese icecream - this dessert surprised us as it didn’t look like much but was SO good, and we had to come back for another one before we left Bilbao!

Best food we had in Bilbao. We ordered the patatas bravas, pintxo/bocadillo de jamón, carillera de cerdo and croquetes. All the food was very good but especially the carrillera de cerdo with the mashed potato. The cheese cake for dessert was one of the best cheese cakes I've had in a long time. Our waiter was very good and although the place was very busy, he seemed very relaxed/calm about his service although ensuring seeing to people quickly.

The chicken was excellent, and the pork cheek was good also. The chicken was really the star. Also important to note, their kitchen is open even before 8 unlike other restaurants.

Amazing. First night in Bilbao and came across this restaurant. The food was amazing!! You must get the tuna and pork shoulder. Very reasonable prices. Tons of locals go here and I know why.

What a salad! After a huge lunch we wanted a light dinner. The tomato and mozzarella salad was out of this world. Fresh and vibrant. My husband also really enjoyed his tuna with sushi rice.

The tasting menu was amazing. And since there is never enough chocolate in the world, I ordered the chocolate mousse to top it off.

Great place! We were lucky to walk in and get a table. The menu degustacion/tasting menu is excellent. Everything is clearly made fresh in house. Great presentation, reasonable prices all around. Even wine is priced very reasonably. Our waitress had many tables to deal with and was rather abrupt, but was generally friendly and patient with us. Highly recommended!

Had a great late lunch here. Bustling restaurant, but not too busy at that time. It was perfect! Ordered the tuna and tomatoes, octopus, pork cheeks with potato, and fresh cheesecake. Everything was amazing and the atmosphere was cute with the wooden stools and bar. Would recommend!

Excellent place to get dinner with attentive and kind service. Kind service to autistic diner by providing extra straws for his milk drink. Accommodating to Muslim diner by explaining which dishes contain pork. Delicious cheesecake, cod and iberican pork pluma

What a find! This bustling little place offers a menu for 45 euro that includes four small plates including croquettes, the most amazing jambon Iberica, mushroom stuffed peppers, followed by a fish (grilled cod with ratatouille) course, meat dish (super tender pork cheeks with mashed potatoes), and desert. The wine list is well-priced and extensive with plenty of local wines. They also sell bottles to go in their shop, along with food items. Service is really helpful and the atmosphere is casual and lively. We will definitely be back!

Delicious evening meal. What a busy place! Lucky to get a table I think. Waiters need a medal, don't know how they two of them kept up with the indoor tables and outdoors! 🙂

Super tasty tapas and wine. Really quick service, but demand for tables inside was high. Good selection of pinchos on the bar and tasty made to order hot plates. Pork cheeks with mash, squid with a sweet sour onion sauce and croquettes were all really good. I was dining solo, but would probably do a set menu for two with some additions if I was with someone else

It’s my favourite place to eat in the world. You can people watch for days - the place is full of life and colour. And don’t get me started on the food. Everything is of exceptional quality - melting in your mouth good. Exceptional flavours and finesse. I’ll probably come back every second day during my 1.5 week trip.

Amazing pinchos (tapas) bar in town. Decor inside is lovely but there is also an outside area to sit and have something to eat. I recommend 3 dishes to share for 2 persons. We loved the croquettes, the marinated tuna with sushi rice and the Joselito Iberian Puma. Just note that the bar (with pinchos) is next to the restaurant.

Great experience here. Really nice staff. My wife and me really enjoyed time there. The food…. 😍👍. We really liked them. Black rice de txipiron con alioli and Tapa de chipirones a la plancha con puré de cebolia agridulce are in the Top 1 for us. Will be back there if we come back for sure!

Gotta be the go-to place once in Bilbao! Amazingly delicious pintxos, dishes, wine and dessert. If you got time, get the tasting menu, a great deal you won’t regret about.

Nice Pinxos bar, we went for the set tasting menu but to be honest it was nice but to much. Next time I will just choose from the menu the dishes I prefer. This is one of many great places to eat around the restaurant quarter in Bilbao..

There is cheese cake and then there is this cheese cake.... this is just absurdly delicious and without doubt the best I have ever eaten in my life. Went here twice because it is just soo good. Order a delicious glass of local white wine with it and life suddenly became perfect.
