Free
Tour
Bilbao
after
our
experience
both
on
the
tour
and
with
the
company
representatives
themselves.
I
write
this
review
after
doing
another
free
walking
tour
with
a
different
company
and
am
shocked
at
the
difference
in
quality
and
customer
service.
Confirmed
via
WhatsApp
the
day
before.
We
arrived
early
for
our
morning
tour,
only
to
be
told
the
guide
holding
the
umbrella
was
not
scheduled
to
do
the
confirmed
tour
and
that
the
last
tour
(which
was
also
in
English)
had
already
left.
Another
couple
who
had
booked
on
the
website
faced
the
same
issue
as
us.
The
guide
called
management
and
told
us
to
head
to
the
market
where
the
guide
would
be
-
no
further
direction,
no
follow
up
with
the
guide
to
ensure
they
would
be
ready
to
receive
us
and
no
accountability.
We
ran
over
to
the
market
and
fortunately,
we
spotted
an
orange
vest
much
earlier
and
were
able
to
join
the
tour.
Unfortunately,
the
guide
was
incredibly
nervous,
wasn’t
from
Bilbao
and
therefore
wasn’t
able
to
answer
certain
questions
from
the
group
and
had
poor
delivery
-
a
company
like
free
tours
should
ensure
guides
are
comfortable
and
trained
to
a
base
level
(naturally,
by
ensuring
there
is
another
experienced
guide
alongside
for
the
first
few
tours
to
build
confidence).
I
can
understand
the
nerves
when
returning
to
post
covid
world
and
having
to
speak
in
English.
I
don’t
know
how
the
company
operates,
but
our
experience
was
not
positive
and
when
I
asked
what
happened,
the
WhatsApp
response
was
that
they
are
very
sorry
for
a
computer
error,
demonstrative
of
a
clear
lack
of
accountability
and
professionalism.
We
chose
this
company
on
the
basis
of
the
reviews
for
the
guide
holding
the
umbrella
who
told
us
they
wouldn’t
be
doing
the
tour.
I
recommend
that
the
company
aligns
their
booking
channels
and
be
honest
about
mistakes
to
clients.
I
cannot
imagine
how
difficult
it
is
to
resume
a
business
after
years
of
restrictions
but
setting
expectations
is
important.
This
experience
is
not
unique
to
us
as
the
same
happened
with
another
couple
who
decided
the
extra
hassle
wasn’t
worth
it
and
did
not
join
the
second
tour.
I
added
one
star
because
the
guide
did
have
a
microphone
so
he
was
audible
and
another
because
I
was
able
to
make
the
booking
via
WhatsApp
with
clear
instructions.
The
poor
experience
is
down
to
execution.
