😠 Terrible wasteland! Endless, sunburnt and dead straight asphalt racing tracks for reckless inline skaters and aggressive Didis (= racing cyclists). My advice: keep your arms close, otherwise you risk injury. Be careful with children! By the way, the athletes are also at risk: there are many deep pot... People often mention nature,

Beautifully located nature reserve on the Rhine, ideal for a hike 🥾or bike ride 🚲. Historical things, such as Mickeln Castle, are not neglected either. 🏰 Parking available near the castle. I can only recommend. 👍

Nature reserve at the gates of Düsseldorf city. A lap of the asphalted route, approx. 5km. Ideal for enjoying nature, relaxing, jogging, skating

Terrible wasteland! Endless, sunburnt and dead straight asphalt racing tracks for reckless inline skaters and aggressive Didis (= racing cyclists). My advice: keep your arms close, otherwise you risk injury. Be careful with children! By the way, the athletes are also at risk: there are many deep potholes and muddy patches along the path. No chance to take a rest. No possibility to refresh yourself. All side paths are closed off for nature conservation reasons, and that's probably for the better, because the hordes of ticks would probably take a peaceful walker to the intensive care unit within a very short time (keyword: encephalitis). Be sure to avoid the Rhine bend!

Nice protected landscape. Park your car at the public parking next to the Kölner Weg and take a stroll around the almost exact 5km tour. The path is paved and perfectly suited for walking, running, cycling or skating. Next to you you might see horses passing by. In the summertime you might take the small path next to the pub to relax at the Rhein, or you take the boat to see the opposite bank.

One of the nicest places in Düsseldorf. A great idea for a bike ride in the heart of nature. A place rich in various species of butterflies and protected beetles.

Always happy to walk. Not far from town. Get off the bus and feel like you're on vacation. I particularly love the spaciousness and the pollarded willows, which uniquely characterize the landscape. Two 250-year-old Lebanon cedars at Schlossmeierhof and the mailbox for the tree spirit Jüchtwind near the chestnut are further special features. Unfortunately, the old and beloved chestnut is no longer available; An artist carved their remaining trunk for this purpose. A new chestnut tree was planted opposite the old one so that future generations can also enjoy the landscape with trees in this striking location. Individual dead trees, which are not felled because this is a nature reserve, leave behind a bizarre structure.

Beautiful area, lots of protected nature, good for walking and hiking especially in the morning because there are only a few people out and about. The only disadvantage: no benches.

Beautiful nature reserve, very spacious with many secluded spots for sunbathing. Naturism is also possible.
