Another extraordinary historical building in Aachen worth visiting. I could not go into the building and visit however it’s quite spectacular from the outside too. Worth checking out when visiting Aachen.

Rathaus or City Hall is an architectural marvel in Aachen. The place is a perfect spot to spend your evenings. The spot is also the marketplace of Aachen. Charlemagne statue with fountain stands tall in front of the Rathaus. You have a Rewe City in front of the City Hall and lots of restaurants and utility stores in the region.

The town hall in Aachen is a significant landmark in the city. The beautiful setting, with the Karls-Brunnen and the town hall on the market square, is a must-see. Inside, it looks truly majestic, with impressive architecture and grandiose spaces. I highly recommend visiting this historical building for a glimpse of the city's rich history and culture.

The interesting part is outside! All frescoes are done in the 19th century and mediocre! Absolutely no access to the towers!! No visible hint of the old building. I wish I spent our 12€/2persons entry fee on 4 pork burgers at 西安食堂around the corner😭😭😭😭😭

A beautiful and historical building located in one of the nicest squares of Aachen. Unfortunately, we visited Aachen in corona times, and it was a bit "empty", but we came across 2 or 3 weddings taking place in the city hall. Didn't visit inside. The ticket was €6, but they didn't accept card payments. Maybe the next time visiting...

Really nice building located in the heart of Aachen. It is quick to see and audio guides are provided. There are about 4-5 rooms on the ground floor. And the a huge room on the top floor. Each room has a different theme and history.

There is almost nothing to see inside. The 6€ entrance ticket is not justified. They demand to wear a mask, that is no more compulsory in the region, and the staff is very impolite. Waste of time and money.

The building is so nice in terms of architecture, however I am not sure if the entrance fee for the museums worths or not since there are only arts, but you still can see the interior architecture.

A place with lots of history. But I definitely think there should be a more comprehensive guide and description of what has happened in the history. The building itself is wonderful, the agency organizing it has lots to improve.

The Iconic Rathaus (City hall) of Aachen. A must see. With a long history, passing a big fire, World War, Kings…. Too much to read and watch in this amazing building. Located on the Market square. So one can see a few important sites together. Markt platz, Rathaus, Grashaus, Charlemagne museum, Dom, Elisenbrunnen. Although this then needs 2 days, as in between one likes to enjoy a beer/coffee and perhaps street arts (e.g. music). Ground floor has many beautiful paintings but names are too small and not well visible. Pity no access to some parts like the tower, roof,.. Suggestions: -Need to add more English information about the paintings in the ground floor. -Receptionist too serious! She didn’t even mind telling us about the audio guide!

The City Hall of Aachen, a very old and beautiful building. A lot of historical artifacts inside as long as animated interactive movies that show the history of the city. In addition there are also a lot of photoes and videos of how the city used to look, as long as footage from the World War II. Totally worth visiting when in Aachen.

The city hall of Aachen is a very cool and historic place. The crown jewels given to the king or queen of Aachen is stored here behind a glass wall. It is valued at about 1 million euros. The hall itself is where many people such as Henry Kissinger (he unfortunately died the day this post is being written) were celebrated and inaugurated. I definitely reccomend visiting the city hall if you are in the area, especially at night. I also highly reccomend getting a tour guide to explain all the culture and history.

You should visit this building only if you are history and / or architecture enthusiasts. It cost 6 euro to go around and it takes 30 minutes for a tour. There are great paintings and the building was recently renovated. They have guides, but as I wrote, you should know this place’s history at a certain level to truly appreciate.

Great interactive touch screens and audio in multiple languages that explain the events and time line from various historical figures as it relates to and around Aachen. Great architecture in the rooms displayed.

Building looks nice from outside but not much to see inside. The adult entrance fee is 6€ which is pretty expensive.

Currently, this is the city hall and museum also. It was built in the 14th century but it was damaged by fire in the 19th and WWII, and restored. You can see the beautiful rooms, hall, portraits and ornaments. It has the portraits of Napoleon and Josephine, because it was dominated by Napoleon.

Ate here last year and enjoyed myself. I wish they had Carménère to go with the meal, then it would have been a 5-Star Experience, but the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE!!!
