    The place is very beautiful. The presiding deity is Lord Kapileswara(Shiva). It is a very old seat of saivism. The temple was built in 9th century. The temple is an exquisite example of early Somavamsi temple art. This temple is a miniature of the Koshaleswar temple at Haradakhol near Sonepur.
