Dave is a robbing horrible individual and his wife needs to understand her place. Disgusting place and disgraceful leadership. If i could give it 0 stars i would. It will be under new management soon due to the awful management its under even the barmaids hate him.

1st time here can't believe that I've never been here before. Was good to see a busy pub on a Saturday teatime. Didn't eat there but the menu looked good and plenty of orders passed by. Will try again and maybe try a meal there 😋

Nice little place ice cold beer polite staff , but this was my main meal now to say I was disappointed was an understatement this was it before I started. Needless to say I had to go home and make myself something to eat , wouldn't have filled me kids up won't be ordering food here again ..

Had a lovely pint of Guinness, and some food (burger & chips) very good quality, really enjoyed it. Very reasonable prices too 👍 update:18th August 2023, this pub no longer serves food. Still a nice place and decent prices.

Always been a good pub to go. I Always go everytime we go home for a visit. Never changed in alot of years good drin,food,company great atmosphere.

I am new to the area and often find myself looking for a friendly place to get food or just have a beer, my first impressions of the sportman were great and they have not dissapointed. I have attended Karaoke night and eaten a couple of times. Price: the price of the beer and food is exceptional and for what you get you cant beat it, a beer and a burger will cost roughly £6 and leave you full and satisfied. My favourite part of the sportsman is no doubt the friendly locals and the bar staff, Being new to the area it can be abit nervy meeting new people but the locals made me feel at home aswell as a young bar lady by the name of Ellie who has shown me kindness and gave me alot of great information. aswell as a great customer experience you can expect a fun time whilst visiting.

2pints, bottle of J20.....have a guess how much.....i'll tell you, £2 change from a tenner. Nice little place just a walk away from Prenton Park.

Nice clean & friendly pub, food is great for the price, with lovely waiting on-staff. Great deals on drinks too.

Very busy pub with limited disabled access need to invest in a ramp to reach raised area for wheelchair users. Locals claim 'their tables' so a little restricted when live music on.

Pub isn’t even that great now. No food, no cocktails. Lost a lot of customers due to that.

Just waited an hour for our food... when I asked why taken so long, cook left, our food left in the kitchen, served to us basically cold and not even an apology. Very disappointed especially when we eat here regularly and usually quite good!

Bustling pub with friendly staff. Beer prices are lower than other pubs in the area and the beer is well kept. Only have Doom Bar on offer for craft beer drinkers, but there are lots of lagers etc on offer.

Great pub , great atmosphere under the management all staff very freindly and welcoming. Entertainment great and weekend and Bingo fun on a Tues.

Great pub, tasty food at an affordable price. Staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Would recommend to everyone to at least go and see for yourself

Lovely service, pints and good prices

the place was really nice. the locals was also welcoming showing me where the dining area is. my children enjoyed their meal there. we had the fish and chips full works whilst the missus had a delicious sundae. will come again.
