I
just
moved
out
of
a
premium
1
bed
Allegro
apartment
which
I
lived
in
for
two
years.
Generally,
I
had
a
great
experience
with
just
a
few
downsides
to
be
aware
of.
The
positive
-
Some
fantastic
staff.
Laurence
as
general
manager
is
really
competent,
friendly,
and
reasonably.
Annie
as
property
manager
is
super
responsive,
helpful,
and
generally
lovely.
Forzia
in
the
resident
services
team
is
delightfully
friendly
and
preally
nice
to
chat
to.
I
have
also
always
found
the
night
staff
and
maintenance
to
be
great
too.
All
of
this
matters
when
renting
serviced
apartments
like
this.
-
I
loved
the
apartment
itself.
I
loved
the
freedom
to
decorate
and
live
with
pets.
Having
a
front
desk
to
receive
your
mail
is
a
huge
thing
I’ll
miss.
And
the
gym
in
the
apartments
is
the
best
I’ve
seen
for
serviced
places
like
this
in
Birmingham.
-
The
location
is
really
convenient,
being
right
by
the
city
centre
without
a
lot
of
the
street
noise
that
comes
with
city
centre
living
(as
it’s
most
just
traffic
and
people
walking
to
the
universities).
-
I
found
the
process
of
renting
the
place
and
getting
my
deposit
back
to
be
very
smooth.
Laurence
was
super
helpful
when
we
decided
to
hand
in
our
notice,
going
above
and
beyond.
-
While
I
never
took
part
in
the
fairly
frequent
social
events
Allegro
puts
on
throughout
the
year,
I
did
really
like
that
they
decorate
the
lobby
for
various
holidays.
-
I
moved
in
when
rent
was
cheap
due
to
COVID
and
when
my
lease
was
up
for
renewal,
prices
had
hiked
considerably.
I
thought
Allegro
was
quite
reasonable
in
offering
a
slight
price
increase
which
was
well
below
what
they
could
have
got
from
a
new
tenant.
But,
they
only
offered
this
for
2
years,
meaning
I
felt
I
needed
to
be
ready
to
move
out
before
2
years
in
case
they
changed
prices
to
match
the
very
expensive
market
rate.
-
my
maintenance
requests
(of
which
there
weren’t
too
many)
were
mostly
dealt
with
quite
quickly.
The
soundproofing
is
decent.
I
could
never
hear
people
in
their
apartments,
though
I’d
always
hear
people
talking
in
the
corridors.
The
negative
-
Previous
property
managers
just
never
responded
to
emails,
or
were
incredibly
slow
(weeks!)
to
do
so.
-
The
construction
is
challenging.
While
the
building
is
really
well
sound
proofed
and
it’s
not
much
an
issue
with
doors/windows
closed,
you
will
need
them
open
during
summer
and
for
ventilation.
Just
as
they
finished
constructing
a
building
to
the
left
(as
I
was
moving
out),
they
started
building
on
the
right.
I
don’t
know
about
any
other
construction
plans,
but
you
hear
some
stuff
from
the
HS2
site
as
well.
-
The
apartments
are
new
built
and
very
well
insulated
with
an
air
filtration
system.
The
only
problem
being
I
never
found
that
air
filtration
system
to
work
well,
meaning
the
internal
bathroom
inevitably
became
mouldy,
and
the
place
generally
felt
very
stuffy.
-
While
I
liked
the
idea
of
the
common
area
(eg
for
some
variety
when
home
working),
I
found
there
were
often
loud,
unsupervised
children
using
the
space
(which
Allegro
did
try
to
manage
with
frequent
emails).
I
also
found
the
gym
area
to
be
very
untidy
(residents
wouldn’t
put
things
back
in
their
place
and
there
isn’t
really
a
member
of
staff
who
would
do
this,
that
I
know
of),
and
a
few
pieces
of
equipment
had
been
stolen
(12kg
dumbbells
and
an
ab
rollout).
Despite
asking
for
these
to
be
replaced,
they
never
were
in
2
years!
Overall,
I
think
Allegro
is
a
fantastic
option
for
serviced
apartment-style
living
with
a
generally
really
good,
enthusiastic
team
and
some
stand-our
services
(the
premium
apartment
with
balconies
is
amazing,
the
gym
is
better
than
most,
and
secure
in-building
parking
is
an
awesome,
if
expensive,
option).
