Absolutely
shocked
at
the
way
I
was
treated
on
the
phone
today.
Called
to
book
an
appointment,
was
told
that
due
to
missing
SEVERAL
appointments
without
notice
,
I
am
no
longer
allowed
at
the
Dental
Surgery.
I
completely
understand
that
missing
appointments
without
notice
is
unacceptable
and
wastes
the
time
of
the
Dentist
and
I
feel
bad
about
it
but
I
had
plausible
reasons.
I
missed
TWO
appointments
by
the
way,
but
you'd
think
by
the
way
they
were
speaking
to
me,
that
I
had
missed
10
appointments.
One
of
my
reasons
was
being
very
ill
and
in
the
hospital
for
several
weeks
and
I
could
not
pick
up
the
phone
to
call
in
and
the
very
first
one
was
missed
as
I
was
relying
on
a
text
message
reminder
from
them
which
I
did
not
receive.
She
says
the
message
was
sent
so
in
a
nutshell
not
their
problem.
And
when
I
made
the
second
appointment
after
missing
the
first
one,
there
was
no
warning
or
notice
that
If
I
missed
this
second
one
I
would
be
expelled
by
the
way.
I
explained
this
and
not
one
ounce
of
empathy
was
shown.
Even
offered
to
provide
proof
of
being
at
the
hospital.
I
asked
if
I
could
see
another
dentist,
and
was
told
that
once
dismissed
from
one
dentist,
no
other
dentist
will
see
me.
So
essentially
I
am
no
longer
welcomed
at
the
practice
for
missing
TWO
appointments
with
good
reason.
I
am
absolutely
shocked.
No
customer
service,
no
empathy.
If
this
was
a
private
appointment,
I
would
have
respected
this
decision.
But
refusing
a
patient
NHS
treatment
doesn't
sound
right
to
me
and
so
I
will
be
seeking
advice
from
the
Integrated
Care
Board
(ICB)
and
Dental
Complaints
Service.
