2nd time hanging out @ this establishment. Loved the atmosphere and really enjoyed my night out with friends. Met so many cool, down to earth people & ran into friends that I haven't see in years. I'll be back 🙃

Greg Brady burger was 🔥🔥🔥! Fries are really good too, and I'm not big on french fries. As others have mentioned, the burger is a bit small, but I'll take a smaller, delicious burger over a bigger, average burger any day of the week. The place itself isn't as big as I thought it would be, more of a hole in the wall type of place. Best burger I've had in Bham! I will UNDOUBTEDLY be back.

Burgers are great, beer is cold, & service is great!!! My only complaint is the burgers need to be bigger because I can't get enough!! Yum, yum, YUM!!! And CJ is my favoritest (Yes, that's a word now!) server!!! 🥰

Mind you, I’m out of town on business trip from Atlanta. The office ladies that I worked with this week told me about this place. I thought to myself…..this place can’t be that good😏. After the first bite I too am a FAN! Jack Brown is BUSSIN‼️‼️‼️‼️

Went on a Saturday night before 5pm. No wait, for my husband and I. Be prepared for a wait depending in what time you go. It is a bar with music playing several places to sit inside but not huge. Our server was good and friendly. The burgers and fries are good. I got The Shocker and my husband got the burger with mac and cheese and bbq chips on it. He also got the sweet potato fries. The shocker is a spicy burger so if you like peppers and spice get it. They do not have regular toppings like tomato, lettuce, honey mustard, ranch, etc. They do have ketchup and mustard on the table. They have their own sauce which is kind of sweet. The burgers are a little on the smaller side. Drinks are all probably bottled or canned. My mountain dew came out in a glass bottle. It’s a cool little place. It’s a bar/restaurant. they had music playing which is fine but a little loud for my husband and I. I do recommend going and trying. They also have fried Oreos. They are good and come in a cute little container.

This will undoubtedly be the longest review I have ever left. Jack Browns in Birmingham is an absolute gem. I came here for the first time late 2022/early 2023 and I have been back every week since. Food first: the burgers are unique and creative. I don't know of another place you can get quality waygu beef this cheap. The fries (sweet potato or regular) are a must so you can try their JB sauce. Fried oreos are the best way to top it all off. Second: the everyday beer selection is unmatched. Beer on draft is rotated every 2 or 3 days, while the everyday beer menu remains eclectic, yet reasonably priced. They do have ciders and a small selection of wine so there is certainly something for everybody. Last, but certainly not least: the staff is the best you could ask for. Longevity in the service industry is incredibly rare, yet many of the workers have been there for multiple years. Shout out to Taylor, Blaze, Nick, Elaine, Bmerk, Lorin, Sharlay, Issaac, Will, Daniel, and everybody else who's name I haven't gotten/can't think of (including the kitchen.) I love you all.

Outstanding service. All recommendations were solid and appreciated. When I ordered "just fries" the waiter assumed correctly that I am vegetarian and steered me towards a fully loaded cheese melt that was one of the best I ever had. French fries were good, house sauce was good, melt was good, and the portions just right. The beer selection (mostly canned) is huge, organized by beer style, and was well presented by the waiter. The only thing I would improve on is the readability of the (beer) menu and it wouldn't hurt them to put a veggie burger on the menu. This is not a fancy place more a mix between a dive and a beach bar.

We both enjoyed our burgers, the Dr. Gonzo and the Chiflet. Their fries, both regular and sweet potato are on a whole other level. Somehow both super crispy and flavorful yet light and fluffy on the inside. Paired with their fry sauce they give you at the table I just couldn't get enough. The fried Oreos were a tasty way to end the meal. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the burgers meanings, and super kind and helpful! Knowing next to nothing about this place going in, the vibe was a little intense for me but this kind of place typically isn't my scene. I really enjoyed myself though and am looking forward to my next visit here!

Cool new local place in Tuscaloosa. They have some great gourmet burgers on the menu with something for everyone. The restaurant is a bit small with limited seating but a great bar area and some outdoor seating. Some good local brews on tap, with mixed drinks and a few bottled beers. The staff was fun and service was great. The only reason for a 4 rating was the portion sizes. Typically when you think gourmet burgers, you think a fat 1/2 pound burger or similar with ingredients bulging out. These are very small burgers - almost like a slider. You great flavor but very small.

BEEESSSTTT sweet potatoes ever in my life! Funky/different kind of bar, with only beers, ciders, fried oreos, burgers and fries. Everything we ordered was tremendous honestly, from the pineapple cider to the Elvis burger! You won't be disappointed 😌

Always a vibe. Burgers are great! Don't look for anything else to drink alcohol wise besides beer. Cheese fries are great. Sweet tea is good when they have it as well. Beer on tap gets changed out regularly. Not just a typical bud light on tap.

Service has never been great and they stopped doing take-out months ago (best option for new parents!!) but the food has always been consistent and today me and my husband wanted a jack browns burger and basket of fries…it’s 2PM and we have our 4 month old. It’s freaking cold (temperature index is 42). We are told it’s a 15 minute wait and that we can’t come inside to wait. The place was far from packed. Our little was literally shivering. When I asked to come inside for our babies sake, I was told we could wait in our car or go to another restaurant. We opted for another restaurant. Sorry Jack, but I will not be back! Your burgers may be good, but now I’m just an angry mama!

Heard it was one of the best burgers in town so drove 30 minutes to eat for lunch. Cool place and friendly people. Unfortunately the burger is super tiny and really dry. The fries and beer selection were good though.

It’s a cute place Packed with people and it’s very good energy since everyone is very friendly. Went here on vacation because the reviews were amazing but I don’t think We’ll be back. It’s $10-$12 dollars for one burger and a pickle. The burger is tiny and doesn’t look appetizing. The side of cheese fries was $3 which is not bad but it’s not enough food to fill you up. We didn’t feel full after eating but Within a few hours my partner and I got INSANE food poisoning. It’s been over 24 hours since we ate there and we still feel like garbage. Our 8 hour drive home extended to 16 HOURS because we had to stop so many times due to being sick. I had high hopes but after trying it I wouldn’t recommend it. Cute place nonetheless but it’s not worth the price you’re paying to still feel hungry when you’re done eating.

Freaking love this place! Long waits, but worth it. Burgers are delicious, great fries and sweet potato fries, and all the beers to choose from! Service is always good and the atmosphere is lively and loud.

We love this place. However, the doormen are often unnecessarily rude. Food is great, beer menu is solid, although they could use a good standard IPA on draft.

One of the best burgers I've ever had hands down. Great selection of beers and killer food. Give them a try when you are in the ham.

I enjoyed Dr.Gonzo Burger 😋It was Delicious and seasoned! First time here, did a google search and came off reviews. I highly recommend this place if you want a quick bite inexpensive. All the staff here was Polite and welcoming.

The first time I'd ever eaten a hamburger meal and then ordered another to go. Warmed it up later that night and it was as tasty as the first one. The fries were crisp and airy quite possibly the best I've ever had.

The place is has a welcoming atmosphere and the decoration is fantastic. The burgers are absolutely delicious. I love burgers and eat them everywhere I can. I guess I'm a burger connoisseur, or at least I try to be. I am not a fan of these little dainty burgers, They were still great burgers tho... Service was not great at all, it looks like they had 1 waitress and the Bartender waiting tables, that caused it to take longer than expected to order. Asked for mayo and never received it, and honestly it's because the money is at the bar. So in retrospect it took away from our customer experience.

Nothing hurts worse than walking into a business 26 minutes before closing and still not be served after a long day at work! The website hours say they are open until midnight on a Monday night yet at 11:34pm staff is cleaning and shutting down the grill. The hours should say staff leaves at midnight because you most certainly won't be getting any food after 11:15pm!!! And they have no problem with turning you around at the door expeditiously!!

I've been to Jack Browns a handful of times. Whether it was lunchtime at work or 2 in the morning needing something that was open late, it's always fantastic. The staff is always wonderful no matter what time of day or night you go in. A large selection of beer and drinks to choose from. The food has never let me down when I've been in either. There's typically some good tunes being played while you sit and enjoy your meal, or if you're at the bar enjoying an adult beverage, haha. I certainly recommend you check them out for yourself. But do understand certain times they are slam packed with people. I mean, it's just that awesome, honestly. If you're in a hurry, you can give them a call and order it and pick it up to eat wherever your heart desires! But check them out for sure. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Great burgers but I wont be back anytime soon. Kitchen staff does not wear any PPE and I overheard a member of staff say that the manager got COVID and continues to come in to work. Shameless.

What a great place. I had never heard of it before but my family picked it for me for Father's Day dinner. Burgers and a big selection of beer, how can you go wrong. I love the vibe of the place, cool, without being pretentious. Staff was so friendly. Sitting out back was fun. So many different burgers, we all had a different one and all of them were delicious. Great beer selection of local and not local craft beers plus some of the big company beers. I highly recommend trying this place. It doesn't look like there is a lot of space so not sure if there can be a wait, but we went on Father's Day, dinner time, waited maybe 10 minutes.

The burgers here are delightful! You have to have some fried oreos to round out your meal. They have an extensive beer menu. Also, a great place to go after a Wet Nose Wednesday with your pup to their outside patio.

Best burgers in this area! The Popeye burger is the perfect melody of flavors! Go ahead and make it a double. 😉

Delicious homemade tasting burgers. Perfectly portioned along with the fries to satisfy our hunger without overly stuffing ourselves. Love the atmosphere. GREAT MUSIC playing overhead. So glad we tried this place out and most certainly will be back. Service also did not disappoint.

Coke products. Hell of a good burger. Flat-grilled, but not bad at all. They make good food, I just wish that their soda wasn't a canned thing. Shows how small the business is, which I can understand. Still, really good stuff. Check it out, you'll be surprised at the quality of the food. Speed of service on the other hand... Not so much.

Fun restaurant for burgers and beers. I ordered hamburger without bun and the flavor of the beef was outstanding. Fries crispy and hot. Our table ordered several different items and everyone enjoyed their meals. When we arrived it was crowded but a friendly staff member came forward and showed us to a table quickly.

Small place but has that charm and appeal I like. A little hole in the wall that has a great atmosphere. I ordered the shocker med with no bun and no fries. I definitely wanted the fries but I have to watch my carb intake (gestational diabetes). That burger is literally on fire, made my whole mouth one big fire pit but I loved it! The tenderness, juiciness and flavors were outstanding! My husband ordered the Chiflet burger and he also agree the burger was outstanding! The best burger place we have found in Birmingham so far.

The food was Awesome if you're a Burger or Burger and Beers person, you'll like it! Keep an open mind upon approach, it takes a little getting use to after walking in😂 It's a small Burger & Craft Beer Bar!! I ordered the Wednesday Special "Popeye" which had spinach, artichoke dip, pepper jack cheese & fried onions!! Awesome!! Enjoy!

So mad that I just found out this amazing burger place! A couple of friends and myself went here after a night out on the town laaaaaate Sunday night…. When I say these were some of the best burgers and fries that I’ve had in a LONG time! I can’t remember the names of the burgers we had, but we were all very satisfied! Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!

Everything was amazing other than the price for beer. Basically paying airport prices for smaller servings. Was astounded to see 8 dollars for a can of beer that's brewed locally. Other than that, The food was reasonably priced, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere is great.

The food was tasty, though the burgers are pretty small. The place has a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I wish they had more seating, I'm sure wait times get really long when it's busy.

Went here with my mom for lunch, she was super impressed that her burger was hot all the way through eating it (and I mean steam coming off the entire time). The deep fried oreos were AMAZING! Super sweet with the powdered sugar! The atmosphere and decor were unique and amusing, the staff were very friendly! Definitely will be returning on my next trip!
